When you have a rare cup of coffee with Bailey's Irish Cream, and, after logging it, seriously consider (almost) whether you should switch to it rather than your regular Bailey's Coffee Creamer because, even though it is 9 calories more, the macros are much, much, er, healthier.

Nutty Irishman Coffee is my go-to drink when I'm eating out this time of year and want an alcoholic beverage. Real Bailey's nom nom nom.

When you're craving something and look up calories from that dish at restaurants and decide to make it at home instead to save half the calories.

Or when you look up restaurant menus and everything is high calorie and you can't even pick anything that you want enough for it to be worth the calories and end up eating at home instead.

Story of my life nowadays. I miss eating out and just ordering whatever I feel like without worrying about calories.

@Francl27 how about dividing a restaurant's portion, into more than just their 1 meal & consume the additional portions, as separate meals; until it's gone. So if a restaurant meal, is equivalent to my daily calorie allotment; it gets divided into 6 meals.

Well first... I never know how big a portion it's going to be. So I'm reluctant to order if it turns out to be something small for the calories. Second, I have a big appetite, and I need a good quantity of food to be satisfied, typically... that's why I tend to avoid high calorie meals in the first place. And third, often leftovers taste like crap to me, lol.

I mean the bottom line is that 99% of the time, I don't want the high calorie stuff enough anyway... so going to the restaurant and have to either be hungry because I don't have the calories for a huge amount of food, or to blow my calories on something I didn't really want in the first place... not very appealing, honestly. Like sandwiches... often 800+ calories and never filling to me at all. Just an example. I know, I can have grilled meat and veggies but again, not something particularly exciting as it's what I eat at home all the time.

I have no problem making room for, or sharing, something I really want though. Just doesn't happen that much, as I can typically make what I crave for less calories at home anyway.

I got all excited because my son took a nap and my daughter went to play when we got home from the store. I had time to portion out pork chops, weigh them and label freezer bags with the oz, and cal. I took my time and enjoyed myself.

Yeah, I log on to log food, but start seeing and doing stuff. Then my husband wants me to get off the phone. So, I do. Then I realize that I forgot to log my food. Mfp having a social aspect isn't always a good thing.

I count the number of "biscuits" of Mini Wheats cereal into my bowl. (30 per serving if unfrosted, 21 if frosted--in case you were wondering.)

    I just did this.

Also, when you bitterly regret the last dregs of liquid in a measuring cup being washed down the sink (Bailey's Irish Cream today).

Ha! Only if you tell me that'll earn me an extra biscuit! (Now I'm feeling sort of canine...)

When you go back to the grocery store to get the nutritional info off the bulk packaging.

My individual cheese snacks didn't have the nutritional info on the packaging so I went back to the store to get it off the bulk packaging. I'm sure I looked crazy taking that pic....lol

When you go a little over your calorie goal for the day, so you take the dog on an extra walk so you can log the extra exercise and be right at/slightly under your goal. I hate going over my goal by a little bit! It's one thing if I've committed to a higher calorie day and I know I'm going over by a few hundred. I just hate missing it by, say 50 calories.

You decrease an ingredient in a recipe because you accidentally over used it in another, especially since you'll be having both items; at the same time. So that your expected nutritional content, of the meal; remains the same!

You look at someone's "oh my god" sized salad, and ask "where's the protein?" They ask if that will help, and you go into a diatribe about how if they don't include a reasonable amount of protein, they'll be hungry again in 30 minutes.

You can't stop making mental notes about how characters in TV shows manage to stay so fit by eating so much junk (*cough* Dean Winchester *cough*) and doing so little exercise (like, spending so much time driving!).

Then you see a female character finally eat more than a salad and you think 'that makes more sense, she's so active, she must burn a lot of calories'.

When you walk around the house with your laptop in the hands to make sure your Fitbit (that is on charge) continue to track your steps.

I  this so much. I've been debating with myself on getting a laptop to replace my desktop when it finally dies and this may have just decided for me.

I do this. I also drink water from it, after I come in from working out. I like to make sure I drink in 8 oz increments (so I can log it) so this makes it easy. I just leave it in the drainboard for quick access.

I bet your dog is in his/her best shape  I too, hate going over my calorie goal by a little. Same as I hate missing my 10K Fitbit steps by a small margin. I'd rather be at 9000, then 9800.

You still have an unopened box of some of your favorite cookies that your mom brought 5 months ago because you just can't find room in your days for them (90 calories a cookie)... when 3 years ago the package would have been gone in 2 days.

When you have all your stuff logged before you get out of the checkout lane at the grocery store. Or when you start singing "Another One Bites the Dust" to yourself when you log your last food for the day.

Because Dean Winchester's sexiness makes him burn calories faster than us.

Ordering off the kid's menu at restaurants (even though your kid already ate/ doesn't eat solids yet) because that's the only meal on there that's below 1000 calories:)
