I confess that the "post your favorite pic of me" trend on Instagram makes me want to punch people. So you already posted a million selfies and now I am supposed to pick one and share it with all of my friends who can also compliment you and make you feel all warm and fuzzy?
    Lame

Will you share your favorite and least favorite pic of you with me?

I ignore all the stop drop and selfie requests and unfollow those who only do those....I want to see fun stuff not just them. But I'm old and easily annoyed. But ya your point it's getting a little out of hand

I confess that I'm in a huge funk about turning 40 in a couple of weeks and as such, dinner tonight was a bottle of wine.
    40 really starts feeling gooooodddd...
You really start embracing the "who gives a f...lying monkey wearing a tutu"! I'm digging it, even though I was petrified...
Don't get me wrong, it's also a bit like a switch gets turned on, a switch for the maintenance repair person to show up, because a few days after turning 40, the eye sight started going, the grey hair started popping, the funny wrinkly thigh skin started showing.... hahaha but it's aaaallll good, because really, you start "not giving a f....risky pesky damn about it!"... in a good way...

IC that I'm so afraid of failure it stops me from pursuing what i think would make me happy. To the point that I no longer know what that should be!
I just got accepted to grad school and I'm scared to pieces, it's been 14 years, a marriage and 2 kids since I've been to school, and I don't know if I can do this!

I'm really annoyed at the lies I'm telling myself and how effective they are

There is a nice quote I like:

I lie to myself all the time. But I never believe me.

I confess, overly opinionated people anger me @merrysailor88 you're a beautiful, smart, funny person (from what I've seen here, trust me I lurk a lot lol). If people could literally walk a day in others shoes they would never say *kitten* like they do. Keep rockin mfp, your ability to commit to yr health is A1, keep nursing and do it for you're patients not your co workers (who'll always think they no best and do it for the money rather than being passionate this from my experience as a nurse). I bet your children/child are super proud of you and think you're better than anyone else's mum, they are all that matter xxx

I need to put this out there. I don't want pity or excuses. Because there aren't any. It just needs put out of my head.

I'm having a really hard time getting past some things that have been said to me by those that mean a lot to me.

I'll just throw them out here

    "You're a failure as a wife,mother, nurse etc. "
"People at the gym talk about you. And not in a good way"
"Suck in your stomach. Why do you wear tight clothes?"
"Why is it taking you so long to lose the weight?"
    "You're stupid/dumb/ignorant for thinking XYZ..."

Make no mistake, I'm not blind to how I gained weight or why I am where I am. Nor am I sitting here not doing anything about it. I work 50+ hours a week as a nurse, I'm a parent and I run a household. I do what I can do.

    But *kitten* em.

    End Rant.

so sorry. i know that some people are just *kitten*, but i have sympathy for some judgemental folks. i believe some of them are just dealing with their own self loathing/self confidence/jealousy/etc and don't deal with it correctly, they react by taking it out on others. it sounds like you have the right attitude, but that doesn't mean it won't hurt sometimes.

I confess that I haven't logged a bite of food in weeks. I basically eat the same thing every day, so why bother.
In other news, the scale has stopped moving.

It is possible that these two things are related.

Yeah because despite consuming the same items if, you don't weigh them you might be consuming more than; you believe & by not logging plausibly, you've forgotten that; you had consumed somethings!

Oh, I haven't forgotten. Just ignored. And not cared. Tired and bored of the same monotonous food. Suffering from diet burnout. Loss of motivation. Sick of food prep and planning. Done with counting every bite that goes in my mouth. Just over the whole thing.

Don't worry, none of us are registered chaplains/priests/etc., so it's probably usable in court.
