My dog had been acting like a little *kitten* head lately, I always groom him myself and all the sudden he just started hating it. He currently had half his body trimmed
Of course he acts like a little *kitten*.. if I remember correctly you bit his nose.0 -

that why i maintain my cheat meals once a week so my body can still know how to maintain the bad foods (;
Lol perfect idea.
I also had popcorn on Saturday night because we saw Black Panther. I made room for half of the bag and you better believe I shoveled all of that into my mouth and I 100% do not regret it.Soul_Radiation wrote: »Soul_Radiation wrote: »I ate popcorn at the movies last night...and I regret it. It's really weird srs! I'm a carb fiend!
Now, I feel like I need to eat all kinds of bad food so I don't lose my love for popcorn
there is no way i am wanting to feel sick from eating my beloved bad foods, like fries, popcorn, doritos, pizza,etc.
i generally eat 2-3 cheat meals once a week ( meals, not days ) and as long as the rest of the week im eating generally healthy, it impacts very little
just as long as u know how to balance it out, your body will regulate the bad foods and ull be fine
how was black panther?? tickets are sold out for weeks i g uess i can actually wait for my black panther shirt to arrive from *possibly* china so i can wear it to fan boy once the hype is over
I do this as well, I allow 15% of my food for the week to be "cheats". Which gives me 4 cheats/week. It works very well for me.1 -

100%. it saddens me whenever i read peoples post about beating themselves up because they fell off the wagon, when in reality they only had a donut. it doesnt ruin ur diet if you have a few cheat meals here and there
this is a post i made a few weeks back:
"Just wanted to share my thoughts since i know people have some bad days, and they end up feeling horrible, and i read some ridiculous comments, so i just wanted to give you my take on it. We eat roughly 5 meals a day ( including snacks) so lets say 35 meals a week. Even if you have 1 bad meal a day, for the whole week, which is 7 meals, you are still eating clean 80% of the week. That is sustainable, and that is still being healthy. So next time you indulge into your kryptonite, eat it with no regrets and enjoy, because you EARNED it. I know i do whenever i dive into a bag of doritos cool ranch, or when i dunk into some rocky road ice cream, because i know the next day i will be back in the game. And i know you all will too."
and i stand by everything i say.

I tried for years to lose weight. The day I stopped being so tough on myself and stopped feeling guilt about some of the things I ate and started thinking the same way as you was the day I started to succeed. 3 years I've kept it off and all because I stopped feeling guilty.

Clever_User_Name wrote: »I confess I had a mild panic attack earlier tonight. I was at the church (not ours) for a Fish Fry and the only person I knew there was my youngest. All of a sudden, for some reason, the thought popped into my head, "what if someone asks you how many kids you have? How do I answer that?" Immediately it felt like all the blood left my head. I couldn't feel my jaws move while I was eating. It totally caught me off guard and freaked me the *kitten* out.
I have absolutely no personal experience in dealing with sometting as difficult as this. However I have a good friend who lost his son to cancer when his boy was 4 yrs old. This was 18 yrs ago. He has another child, a daughter. To this day he still says he has 2 children. Anyone who presses it further like asking how old they are, or something like that, he tells his daughters current age and says his son passed away when he was 4. He makes no apology nor gives any explanation why he says what he does about having 2 kids. Nor should he. And I think anyone that questions that is not really worth talking with anyway.
I'm late to this conversation and I'm sorry so many here (and everywhere) have suffered the loss of a child.
I take the matter-of-fact answer when asked how many kids I have: "Two. My youngest son is 26 and my oldest son would be 28, but he passed away". I refuse to ignore his existence and no one ever says much after that other than express condolences.
At first I grappled with not mentioning him, but I decided acknowledging and remembering my son was more important than possibly making other people uncomfortable with my answer. Hugs to all who have suffered this great loss.5 -

@Mr_L33
agreed. being hard on yourself does not help. fitness and health is not just physical, its mental as well. thats why when i eat bad, i smile and enjoy. no need to eat with regret, it makes things a lot worst![/quote]
For years I tried to "diet" perfectly, Id pick a diet and follow it to the letter, even if often it meant eating foods I didn't like. Id struggle after a week or two and the minute I ate a chocolate bar, the guilt of failure, that I'd ruined my diet would send me spiralling out of control.
I still am amazed that simply allowing myself to add the foods I like to my diet without guilt helped me to get where I am.
You really do have to make whatever you follow sustainable for you. That meant adding lollies, pizza, and chips for me3 -

Never happens, but that's my secret desire.. especially since I know a new one will pop up if it gets shut down.
My inner Grinch cackles every time, lol.
Me too
But IC i am also afraid there will be a riot and mfp will burn if we perma shut it down
It must be hard for you moderators to have to deal with that thread all the time. Most of the people are cool, but I see every once in awhile a tiny snit fit happens or someone posts something inappropriate. Mostly, it seems like people get their feelings stepped on in that thread if they aren't perceived by the masses to be "it".
I mostly just can't stand the SC filters. No idea why, but they drive me batty.
As I have stated before it gets a little awkward when I mod it on my lunch break and things got strange in there. Pictures are alot harder to hide than text. And picture havy threads anger my phone so its challenging all around.
Sometimes the supportiveness in there is awesome. But when it goes bad it seems to really go bad.2 -

My cat has decided she likes my husband better, for some unknown reason. Note my cat because he did not want her. He gave her a bath one time, and I dried her off, and somehow I came out the evil one. Go figure....1 -

Same, apparently I am quite cringeworthy1 -
I confess I often reply to threads in my head but forget to actually type it out. I am actually a lot more involved in here than it seems4
