Of course, right in this very thread. Don't forget that three digit code on the back of the card...

ARE YOU INSANE MAN!!!? Oh my, it's almost as bad as seeing that wolf spider yesterday!
I'm going to have to reconsider you sir.
I too, am skeptical. For future reference, appropriate interventions include:
Completing smothering said spider under ones shoe
Suffocating said spider in ones freezer, sealed
Flushing said spider down the toilet. Always flush at least three times.
Who am I kidding? I'd get out the flame thrower.
I like setting the cat upon them. Assuming non-venomous brand.
It is my understanding that cats are immune to some of the types of venom. I think it's the necrotic type, like hobos (well, their venom is under debate) and such.
I started out college as a biology major, and one of the few things I remember from that (lol) was learning that most spiders operate their legs via hydraulics rather than musculature and that they use the same fluid for said hydraulics and circulatory system. So if you make them run enough, their poor little hearts don't get enough "blood" and they die of a heart attack.

Having needed three days of one hour treatments of intravenous antibiotics after a brown recluse spider bite did not respond to oral antibiotics, should I ever see one of those again, he's not being saved for the birds.
Pro tip - don't google image "brown recluse spider bite progression" while eating.

Wolf spiders are not venomous.
As to them being poisonous I assume you don't intend to eat one.1 -
Brown recluse spider bite, crook of left arm, ate through flesh, barely missing that vein they draw blood from. Doctor was scared. Me? I realized I had come up with

Are we talking about different spiders? Because everything I'm reading says they're venemous.

Wolf spider won. Killed him and then started eating him, before I gave up. Think of how much popcorn you have eaten with this!1 -

In the US the species we have are really not an issue. You really have to provoke them to get them to bite, if they do bite they don't always inject, and if they do inject it's about like a bad mosquito bite. They aren't going to kill you and they won't cause flesh to die in the way a brown recluse bite does.
You just let Mr. Wolf Spider go do his hunting. He's your buddy and he won't hurt you.0 -

Let's put it this way. If I have a Boy Scout in my troop bitten by a wolf spider we put some anti itching cream on it and go on. If I have a scout with a brown recluse or black widow bite we head to the hospital. They aren't likely to die from the bite but they're going to have problems.0

So, what I've learned from this thread is I just shouldn't take my chances and I should torch them all. Got it.0 -
Doesn't anyone else just put a glass over the spider and leave it for their husband to deal with?
