I'm so happy to see this support discussion! This has always been my biggest challenge to overcome. I've done in the past but I'm needing motivation right now; especially this time of year

My routine is to have a small sweet after dinner within my calorie count for the day. This counts as a win.
Sneaking cookies, chocolate chips, etc. before going to bed counts as a LNS win.
The "sneaking" of LNS was pretty much cured when I started logging food on MFP but lately I've been slipping. And I rarely log these snacks on MFP.
So I am committing once again to logging EVERYTHING that I eat.

    Hi All!

I'm in. LNS's are the end (and ruin) to many great eating days for me. I think this is a good start to this next phase of my life. Hello to everyone. I really like the earlier post about flossing .... and I am going to double my brushing time ... !. Encouragement to all.

Might have to throw a curveball in here. I think LNSing isn't necessarily a bad thing. Particularly if like me you work out late and your body might be saying, "Hey! Recovery fuel please!" "The important thing is in what you snack on. Nutritionists say keep it low fat, under 300 calories, and at least an hour before bedtime.

My sister this morning told me sometimes she needs to eat a little something before she goes to bed to help her sleep, some type of food that has tryptophan or melatonin. Everybody is different, and I completely understand what you are saying. If it works for you, then, by all means, continue doing what you're doing. This challenge is for people who have difficulty controlling late night snacking.
