    20?!

    You sir have balls

haha thanks @SideSteel I'm doing a 6 week 20 rep program...today was halfway through and if I can see it all the way through, I'll hit 275-280 for 20 in another 3 weeks.

That is a lot of weight to jump in 6 weeks. Impressive
You take your 5 rep max- subtract 90 pounds from that- start there.
lifting 3 times a week adding 5 pounds each lift.
    First workout is 5 RPM Max - 90 lbs. X#'s x 20 reps.
    Add 5 on next time.

The idea is to help build your base of strength up- also- excellent program "cleansor" between training rotations and a real gut check as a lifter.

It is @musclegood_fatbad ,but what you're doing is taking your 5 rep max, subtract 90lbs and then do it for 20. So by the end you're doing your previous 5rm for 20 reps. It's an established program and looks like it's yielded great results for most ppl...it's just an excruciating few weeks LOL. Especially the last two. I'm chronicling my workouts here if you want to read up or follow.

Now that I am happily unemployed, I've been visiting other gyms.

    2016-05-27-11-47-39.jpg?w=900

I trained at Animal House gym on Thursday and Friday - Milwaukee's original hardcore bodybuilding gym. I haven't been here since 1993 before I moved to Chicago and back. Everyone was really nice there, most of the regulars (I assume) gave me a head nod or hi. Totally made me feel at home.

    275x4x8 (M) Squat - 056C. Top set.

Hope 275 looks as smooth when I get there in a few weeks...I'm guessing it won't though lol.

Congrats on being unemployed?!?!? I guess...Lol

    lol
    Thanks
I started wearing my belt like that so the tag end didn't get in the way during deadlifts, now it's habit whenever I put it on.

Thanks @McCloud33, I needed to get out of there and it's given me the push I needed to pursue a different career path and I'll get to spend more time with my daughter this summer.

I'm going back to that gym today. Today I go for 285 lbs. Last week for this micro-cycle and then I start focusing for my next meet on July 16.

Best of luck on the new career path @nakedraygun ! It's amazing how no matter how much everyone benches/squats/DLs/etc. pull-ups seem to be the great equalizer. I did 3x5 with 40lbs this morning and then finished off with 10 chin-up grip and 7 neutral grip BW.

And here's my squat from this morning...end of week 4...250 lbs! The next two weeks are going to be hell :s

@JoRocka - niiiiice. I had the same thing happen on every single bench set on Friday. So frustrated by the end.

Had bench triples at 77.5kg today, probable opener for Saturday. Decent speed considering I spent all day yesterday spotting and loading for the men's flights at a local meet.

Nice lifts both of you @jorocka @willbenchforcupcakes

I usually luck out on not having people cut in front of my videos...that sucks.

    225. Heaviest load I've been under since my 200 rep set. I'm pleased with how comfortable this felt quite frankly. I wish my back would fix itself but if I keep on as I am it probably never willwil#stupidisasstupiddoes. But never the less 225 could have been had beltless and no need for a spot. So I'm quite happy. #a

Nice. Both this and the 210 looked easy.

I never post here because I feel like I'm a baby with my numbers. But I at least have a set I'm proud of. For months, literally since I switched to sumo deads last fall, my hips have been rising first. This week with the help of SideSteel I pretty much...fixed it. It wasn't even that hard. And I hit 200 5x5 pretty easily.

First of all great job with the corrections. Second, the part that's so awesome here is that you destroyed this set. I suspect big gains are in your future =)

That looked super easy. Nice job. Your hips stayed in pretty much the same spot for all reps.

Hell yes to all three of you @arditarose @jorocka @deadliftsanddonuts

ariditarose, that looked super smooth and fast and looked like you could have easily done 225x5 or more.

Jo, as always, you're a rockstar

and deadlifts, wow...that some serious strength and grip strength.

I have more videos as always LOL, but I'll refrain from taking up more real estate...I have them posted over in my 20 rep squat thread. Next week is my last of that program.

Did 200lbs for 3x5 today. I haven't repped out 200 or more yet soo this was a first for me. I figured it's just over 80% of my max so why not? Here is the last set. Not the prettiest but I did it.
