I think moderation in all things is the best policy. I do think carbs are important for a healthy diet because they provide energy and vitamins and minerals. But they need to be unprocessed carbs. It is the processed carbs that give us trouble because they turn to sugar easily. Unprocessed carbs take longer to digest and the sugars are released into the system slowly.0

So, I have a question. If everyone in the world was vegan, what would happen to all the milk and eggs? Would we just throw them in the ocean?
(This is in no way knocking the choice to be vegan, I don't care what people eat. Personal choice and all that jazz. I am just genuinely curious.)0 -

If everyone in the world was vegan, I imagine we would stop breeding so many chickens and cows to produce eggs and dairy for profit. The milk that was produced would feed calves. And the eggs that were laid would turn into chickens.
It's not like we're overwhelmed with the milk produced by non-domesticated species or the eggs laid by non-domesticated birds.0 -

Please explain to me why life expectancy of vegetarians is shorter than people that eat a healthy diet including meat? (I am talking a well balanced diet here not those eating crap) Also please explain to me why the instance of depression is higher in vegetarians?
Lack of bacon.

haha ummm well the animals wouldn't be milked by humans... thus no milk except for feeding their offspring.. lol... And the eggs would probably be fertilized to make more chickens, or eaten by wolfs/foxs/coyotes ect.0 -

So ... are you going to explain how my vegetarian, high in fruits and veggies diet led to my high cholesterol and an autoimmune disorder or are you just going to ignore that?
You said "vegetarian", what else were you eating besides fruits and veggies?
Your original post specified vegan or vegetarian. I was vegetarian. Please explain. I ate no meat (including fish). I was a true vegetarian.
What else did you eat besides fruit and veggies?
Are you under the impression that vegans eat nothing but fruits and vegetables?
And broccoli grains
This right here had me tearing up!!! Oh, those broccoli grains.
Wait.... Is that a GMO?

If we were all vegan than chickens would no longer be subjected to the horrible conditions of factory farming to get their eggs....and the same with cows and milk. Do you think all the milk, cheese and eggs that the world consumes happens naturally???? Just curious.
yea that seriously couldnt have been a serious question. mind blown0 -

I would think that the animals that provided them would be put down. They were bred to make a profit. No profit in feeding them and paying the vets bills if they aren't going to make money back from them.
