If there's a cycling challenge for April, I'll join then.0
-
I've just started outdoor cycling although I'm still building up my confidence
Been out twice now, first time I did 35 miles and second time I did around 20
My other half is evil and takes me to countryside parks with hilly terrain. It feels like a hardcore workout!0 -
Just getting back on the bike after major illness and I'm going to bike for utilitarian purposes for a few weeks before I start pushing myself. I've been for two rides this week.UmmSqueaky wrote: »Thousands of miles later, this weekend I finally clipped in. Holy cow, it's amazing. I picked up a pair of giro mtb shoes clearance at REI last year but couldn't quite convince myself to try it out for fear of falling. Took a spin around the south part of the city today, didn't tip over. Here's hoping I keep that upright streak alive!
If you haven't already, adjust your pedals so they're holding your cleats loosely. So when you find yourself having to stop very suddenly, then panic when you realize your feet are stuck, it'll be much easier to get out before you fall over. I think that's how I've managed to not fall over yet. I also generally don't clip in while riding in city traffic.0 -
sorry I don't know why I keep posting under the wrong thread.0

Just 3 more rides to/from spring training ballgames, including a rain cancelled one today. Sadly it stopped raining once I arrived, but by then they called the game, so I just turned around and headed home.

I probably won't get 30 days of biking in ... it is already starting to be wintery here and the useable daylight hours will be really short come early April when the time change happens. But I hope to get 30 days of movement ... walking, stairs or cycling.
