Just got in a few more miles on both my Tuesday easy group ride (including a side trip to/from the dentist's office for my cleaning while the group had lunch), and a ride to/from today's Jays vs. Mets game. I should knock off my monthly target en route to/from tomorrow's Jays vs. Tigers game, but might get suckered into riding a Grand Fondo Century on Saturday with some of my tri team. Given I'm a bit above my target weight for my upcoming 70.3, a century might be in order, as I'll just need to get ride of my yankees vs. jays ticket for that day. Still, I'm falling behind on my running goal, and may need to save my legs for the 70 running miles I need to put in this week to hit that number.

Got in my remaining monthly target miles on Friday to/from the Jays game, but ended up joining my tri team for a gran fondo 100 mile course ride today. Pulled domestique duty, as the race wasn't timed end to end, but had some time trial portions. Ended up pulling a bit too hard on the first one, but figured out how hard to push by the time we wrapped up the 4th time trial segment. Definitely enjoyed the experience, as I hadn't done a formal century with a team before.

I signed up for an August triathlon back in February. Sprint-ish length (500 yards/15.5 miles/5k), my first. And thus far I've avoided any attempt at running. Decided to quit avoiding it, rip the band aid off and pounded out a 5k yesterday and my legs today are letting me know they're not pleased. But, because I'm a masochist, I decided to go out and do a hill workout this morning. Yup, legs are definitely not happy with me now. Hopefully I'll have enough in me tomorrow to swim and then do a long(er) ride.

Kinda slowed down a bit to let my knee heal. I bruised it in a balancing act trying to hold my bicycle and take a photo. When the bicycle fell, it hit the bottom part of my ITB rather sharply.

30 Days of Biking starts on Friday! Lots of group rides organized for the twin cities (although you don't have to be in the twin cities to pledge and participate) - I'm looking forward to the Saturday pastry rides I'm not a very social cyclist (or a social person in general). 99% of my rides are solo, so I'll be stepping outside my comfort zone with these rides, but I'm hoping to meet new people and maybe make new friends. And eat pastries. Mmmm pastries.

Been a while since I have checked in. Still trying to make an effort to get on the bike regularly and had a nice few rides over March.
For anyone that hasn't heard of it 30 days of biking starts in April.
30 days of biking is pretty straight forward -- you can sign up here - http://30daysofbiking.com/ (free) to make a commitment to bike all 30 days of the month -- no distances too far or short, no repercussions if you don't.
The coolest part is that for every 2 people that commit to 30 Days of Biking they will donate $1 to World Bicycle Relief.
Its a good cause and always a great way to have a daily reminder to get on a bike.

Just got in 14 easy miles yesterday with my Tuesday morning ride with neighbors, and took today as a rest day, as I had 27.5 miles left to wrap up to hit my running target and was able to knock out 15 of them. Might do a short ride tomorrow once I knock out my remaining running miles, but if not, happy with my total.
