@phil2795. I think we all use a different app. I use Map My Ride. I think others use Strava. Read the first post for general guidelines of how the group works. And post your rides, and have fun.

Kinda slowed down a bit to let my knee heal. I bruised it in a balancing act trying to hold my bicycle and take a photo. When the bicycle fell, it hit the bottom part of my ITB rather sharply.
Mar 9 - 10.8 km (35 min) cycling in the dark + lots of Mexican food. Happy Birthday to me!

Made some quick derailleur adjustments at the shop, and my bike is now reliably hitting all gears. Very modest improvement in shift speed/crispness between my old 105 derailleur/tiagra cassette/sunrace chain setup vs. the dura-ace derailleurs/ultegra chain/ultegra cassette combo (both used same dura-ace bar end shifters), but glad I did the upgrade.
Still, the chain stretching combos I'm supposed to avoid (big/big and little/little) seem slightly happier and things are getting pretty crisp and reliable with my bar end shifters. Just wanted to get everything in place a month before my next race (Ironman 70.3 Florida).

@phil2795 - I just keep two distance counters on my bike computer - current ride, and a total I reset monthly (and luckily can easily swap the wireless computer between my tri bike and road bike). Still, once I head up north for the summer and use a 3rd bike up there, I'll just log manually.
@ssflbelle2012 - You'll find your progress will ramp up pretty fast once you start committing the time, as even with 10% increases in total mileage weekly, you'll be doubling your distance every 2 months! Started my journey at 260lb, I encounter a reasonable number of 230lb+ folks on century (100+ mile) rides, and I ran my first 10 mile road race at 240lb, so as you take off weight, you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish. Being 160lb now makes climbing much easier, but my wattage output (and flat land speed) isn't too far from where I was at 200lb.

Yesterday's ride was unbelievable fun on the slickrock, ledges, walls, rocks (I'm worn out from the workout, but grinning from ear to ear)...
I love it when people post pictures of their rides More pictures, more pictures!
re: tracking, I use map my ride, since it syncs with the health and wellness app my work uses for their fitness program.
My tailbone continues to plague me after my slip and fall on ice this weekend - it doesn't hurt while riding, but it's still sore throughout the day and requires advil to not be too much of a distraction. I don't think not riding would speed the healing process, but I probably should consult the nurses hotline. Then, it's really a question of what do I need more - the mental health I get from biking or perhaps slightly faster physical healing?

Thanks Ohhim for that info. I can't imagine going on 100 mile rides at my weight. Someday when I am at goal I might.
