Does the fact that there are hundreds of animals, insects, reptiles, etc. that can kill you ever get boring or are you pretty much always on your toes?

Who has time to be bored when thousands of critters are trying to eat our faces off every second of every day? You gotta be tough to live here! AND on your toes!

well since big aussie bloke has deactivated, I am happy to take over as resident random Aussie guy

    Ah, he hasn't, has he?

Where do you buy your meat then, Chris.

Qld has just gone bonkers, reclassifying free range from 1500 per hectare to 10,000 per hectare. Good for farmers, bad for chooks!

Where do you buy your eggs and chickens?

This makes me sooooooooo mad!!!! People have no freaking idea what the poor chooks go thru in order to supply their breakfast!

I buy only certified free range, from local farmers, and my son is a butcher, so I know the meat we get is clean and ethical kill. Having said that I would love to know how to become a vegetarian and stop the slaughter full stop.

I would love to go to Australia someday it seems like a beautiful country! If I ever get the chance what are your must see destinations?

The Daintree, the hinterlands of both the Sunshine and Gold Coasts, The NSW coast, All of Tassie, the Adelaide Hills, the Swan River in Perth and the Botanic Gardens over there. The Great Barrier Reef, the Great Ocean Road, and for something a little different, the drive from Adelaide back to Brisbane via Broken Hill to give you some idea of the vastness of our country. Never been to the NT so can't recommend anything there, but I'm sure it's amazing.

Pretty much nothing .... Not many Aussies use the word yobbo anymore "Bogan" has taken over as the term.

More like 15 -18 hours depending where you are in the USA.

As a fellow Aussie, the ignorance and curiosity on this feed cracks me up. We could turn it around and make generalisations about other nations, but let's not, eh?

Was all meant to be a bit of fun...nothing more :)

For reference, WA is 12 hours ahead of EST (east coast US time). Pretty much the easiest time zone converaion in the world.
