- Beware of who you exchange naughty messages with. People will screenshot your message and put you on blast. TRUST NO ONE!
- Not everyone recognizes your sarcasm or sense of humor. They will hate you and possibly wish diarrhea upon you.
- Don’t get butthurt if your thread doesn’t make it far. Just go fish for compliments in one of the "person above you" threads.
What have you learned ladies and gents?

Many of the men on here are married and looking for a "good time". They will pretend to be single um nope not fooling me.
If you don't kik most lose interest pretty quickly.
Never ever ever send nudes. Duh!
There are some catty people on here that will
Report a post for the tiniest bit of cleavage but are probably posting much worse themselves
This place is a blast but some folks take it waaaay too seriously. I've made a handful of really good friends and I cherish their friendship24 -

Girls get way better messages than guys.17

the replies to my messages are rarely as fun as I hope they'll be....4

Lag might cause you to accidentally crush, kiss or be handcuffed to the person above you. Then you get the creepy messages as a result, when you were really referring to 3 posters up. #notyouloser27

I'm convinced the mods purposely sit out a thread and get a good laugh before they shut it down.7

That women are just as dirty as men....who am I kidding, I already knew that. No such thing as good girls12

this place is full to the brim of folks needing validation and attention39

1) MFP friendships are very shallow. People want your support, attention, etc until they find someone else to give it to them the next week. Then you're yesterday's news.
2) Newbies who gather 150 friends in their first week won't last more than 3 months here before deactivating.
3) The hot ladies who have been on here for less than a month and have one profile pic? Catfish. They are dudes (or one in particular), wanting to exchange nude progress pics with other MFP women. There are websites full of profile/selfie/nude pics of individuals that can keep a catfish going for months. Ladies beware.
4) The "blah blah person above you" threads are a total beating.
I've met a few legit, genuine people on here. But you have to be super careful who you open up to. Not everyone is your "friend". And for heaven's sake people....don't exchange noodz! I've heard legend of secret Kik clubs where the pics are shared for other's amusement.5 -
MFP is an ego booster for sure. I know nothing onljne is safe or secure so thanks for the careful reminders. But I will say that I have made a core group of good friends so it's also been a blessing.8

Kik isn't that secure.....not sure why people use it. Third parties have access....it's not like whatsapp or other chatting apps2

MFP really stands for Married Flirting People.20

The forum is a place for mutual emotional masterbation. We stroke each others' egos. And that is what we all need sometimes. Nothing really wrong with that unless we lie about it. Some of the friendships that do develop are genuine and real...while about 80 % seems to be really shallow...start quick and end quickly...personally I have learned that like real life, social media can be a place where someone is a friend (or even cyber-lover...I suppose that is the right term) one minute, and stab you in the back the next. Like anywhere a group of people are put together, personalities come out. Some people change their personalities online and are totally different than IRL. It is a very interesting arena to watch interactions....I have learned a lot (this being my first experience with social media interaction...)
NOTE...I had to misspell a word in the first sentence...

No one reads the stickies. Many people come in wanting to be spoonfed and thinking that the existing community owes them a service.3

Be careful what you share-people WILL stalk you. Some people actually do come here looking for romance-hey it doesn't work for me but to each his own I guess.
If you have a thick skin and no expectations, this can be a really fun place, just don't be surprised if your online BFF suddenly disappears. Don't get attached and you'll be fine
There are some genuinely amazing, funny, cool
people here but much like in real life you have to weed through the bs to get to the good ones.
P.S. I still don't kik...or flirt with married men. Kthanksbye.6 -

Or... I dunno..DON'T exchange naughty messages with people you don't really know? But, hey...maybe I'm just crazy...2 -
Well I'm the exception I guess. Not looking for romance & have been Married for 27 years & been with my wife since we were 15 years young. I would be a complete idiot to ruin what we have together...
MFP help me to hit my goal & I found some good fitness tips along the way... win win14 -

That's awesome to hear that there are still good guys out there that think that way!2 -
Some people use this site as their only source of entertainment and frankly it's kind of sad. I've noticed the same people posting over and over and I just can't help but wonder if they have nothing else to do. Sure the forums are fun, but when you've only been here for a few short weeks or months and you have posted 20k times, it may be time to step away.
There are serious cliques here. People get within their little circles and unleash at times. It's slightly concerning that adults behave this way.
