This is a quick check in. Packing up to get to the airport to fly back to NYC. It's been a great visit with DH.
Big hugs to all of you. I could only glance over the many posts.

Speaking of walking dogs...I don't actually walk mine. We have a fenced yard and live on the Hwy... ugh.. so, I would have to load up in car and go to park. Which, I keep telling myself I will start. Last night, we got home and all the snow that had been hanging off the roof, had fallen at the bottom of the stairs. So, I picked up our old girl, while the other 2 ran to do their business. The trip going down was fine. Not sure what happened when I got to bottom and set pup down, but I spun around and fell. Then, when I picked her up to bring in, I fell right on the pile of snow and she slid down one step. I think, I had her cushioned enough, she wasn't injured. She didn't whimper, seldom does. Hubby saw the 2nd fall (didn't tell him about first) he ran out and made sure I was ok. I was more worried about pup. She was worried about getting a treat. I immediately took a hot shower. Definitely sore today. But, i'm ok. Leave it to me to fall. At least I didn't hurt my pup.2

Yesterday was stressful day, second day in a row at satellite office and mandatory meetings so no time for walking breaks.
Mindless eating got me last night. Made a pumpkin/chicken/3 bean chili last night along with a big cast iron skillet of from-scratch cornbread. I took small piece of cornbread with bowl of chili; took dirty dishes back to sink and grabbed another small piece of cornbread; then next trip into kitchen, grabbed another small piece; then when refilling water glass, got another small piece..... and so on.... Ate WAY over my calories/carbs. I was cleaning/updating DS laptop and was so focused on that, did not realize I had eaten so much cornbread until I saw how much was gone from the skillet! (in my defense, DH & DS did say it was some of the best cornbread I have made) Went to bed so mad at myself!!
Woke this morning feeling like I have been hit by a truck. There is a bug going around the office and I am scared that it may have got me. Tried walking laps around hallway and feel like I am going to pass out. Not sure I am going to get my walking in today.

I've exercised 3 times this week at the gym doing rowing and lateral ski, I am sore as all get out. We aren't hiking this weekend due to a friend from out of town visiting but I think we are still going to drag her on a walk to get breakfast to make up for it. We are looking to hit the Cross Greenway where it intersects Ocala and do some exploring some time in the future.
Grabbed a kinda crappy lunch but oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯3 -
Holy smokes - Dawn and Kathryn take care of yourselves! I hope your bodies feel better soon!
Megan - great job on the rowing. I bet my arms would die if I did that!
Happy weekend. Work here is almost done!3 -
2 servings of chocolate wow is that nice! Guess that was my break.

Looonnnnggg day and week. So glad for the weekend. I’ve fallen behind in reading posts but in catching up, marvel at the creative ways folks here have to get in exercise and healthy eating. Inspiring!
Cheers,

SATURDAY
Good morning,
Dog is in the 'dog house' for getting me up in the middle of the night. I hope she will let me sleep again soon.
Normal errands plus one. Soccer teams playing today are both ones I cheer for so as they are playing each other I dont know who to cheer for.....

@Snowflake1968 what types of crafts do you do. I make jewelry and sometimes the grandkids make bracelets and necklaces while I have them. I work more with wire and beads, prefer making rings and earrings the most, then bracelets and necklaces.

Hello All~~
Checking in. I'm home in NYC. The trip went very well, but I am tired.
I did well with food when I could (breakfast & lunch & snacks), but did not do well with dinners or on the two flying days. Just is that way. So up two pounds.

Between errands waiting for lunch hour to pass. Sun is out so shades are open.
Errand, nap with dog, then who knows? Oh yes thousands of steps before nap.
Glad you are home Lana- flying used to be so much fun.... but it gets tiring.

Hi All!
Today has been spent on my couch riding out Winter Storm Harper. Still coming down pretty good out there, very thankful for a warm home and that my family is home safe with me, and that I know all of my friends are also home safe. Been enjoying some TV and cooking today. Attached is my dinner of cheeseburger with sharp cheddar on homemade ciabatta roll, browned yams and berries and grapes. Was delicious!
Hope everyone has a great rest of their day!

Gettingmeback - that looks very good. Glad you are able to stay inside.
My latest link will be made again, but I will fry the sweet potatoes a little more and add more kale.
Not done with walking yet, have some things to send to trash.

Meant to go to the gym today but ended up
talking to a friend too long. Ah well - sometimes the human contact is important balm for the soul. Will try again tomorrow.
Welcome home, Lana!
Gettingmeback, stay safe! Dinner looks delicious.
Waves to Sara and all,

I paint, the old tole painting method is my preferred style, but I do some paint night type things and go to people’s homes to lead them. My husband wood burns and we make Christmas ornaments from wood slices that he burns and I paint. I have scrapbooked for close to 10 years now, but currently I am learning and playing with the Cricut I received for Christmas. I have been making decorations for my Granddaughter’s third Birthday party next week. I figure the 3 year old won’t judge my imperfections too harshly
My eldest daughter makes jewelry as well. She doesn’t do a lot but enjoys it when she does it.

Welcome home Lana!
So last night night my husband decided to join my at the gym and then for a salad for dinner. Could have knocked me over with a feather, but it was great working out with a partner. Today was Memphis basketball and we decided to hit our favorite BBQ spot before the game - ended up heating pretty healthy and got the smoked Cornish game hens. We ran all over town today and I got my 10K steps and 10 Floors in for the first time since I tore the knee up. Feels pretty good! Will hit the gym early tomorrow before the football games, then I'm curling up in front of the fire and not moving till they are done!1 -
SUNDAY
Good morning,
Groceries then home. Rain today so a good day to stay inside anyway.
Got a larger humidifier - has a screw on for the water container so it wont hurt my hand/wrist like the other one and it holds more water so not as often and if I want I can turn up higher and wont run out of water. Floor model and not a bad price.
Was nice to walk in the sun yesterday, but sun on forecast starting tomorrow. Nothing wrong with a quiet day.

Good Sunday morning! Woke up to some more fluffy snow on top of the large amount of fluffy snow that fell yesterday LOL finally had our first snow plow go down our street this morning so it looks like the digging out will begin. My husband generally works on the road as he is an over-the-road driver, but luckily he is home this weekend so he can dig us out so I don't have to hahaha I think I'll enjoy another day at home and work on my YouTube drawing class. :-)2

Bought powered peanut butter to put in my oatmeal again - trying to pack more wallop in my meals so the snacks dont get so tempting.
Got a free car wash while at grocery store.
Bought 2 jumbo cookies to celebrate someone I know getting engaged. I get to eat one - better than buying and eating both.

The Capitals are doing pretty well, Sara, thanks for asking! They are second in their division, just one point behind the NY Islanders so they are definitely in a good position with over 2 months left in the regular season.
The temps are dropping rapidly here, with high winds. Hope our trees stay up! A good day to stay in and stay warm.
Cheers,

Happy Sunday All~~
I let my friend talk me into going out to dinner yesterday, eating part of his horrible appetizer--a breaded macaroni and cheese ball before having my over-priced hamburger. We drank tap water, and my half of the bill was $33 dollars. So much salt in some restaurant food too.
Scale is up over 2 pounds from yesterday. Wallet is empty now. Dang.
Veggies and clean protein at home for me for a long while. Period. Oh, and exercise - out walking in the cold!
