Saw the RN today and she gave me the side eye most of the time, sorry lovely RN lady I know I’m a terrible patient but this is the year I intend to end the “ignore it till it goes away” mentality. But we are doing a trial run with a prescription acid reducer and if that doesn’t help by the end of the month we’ll look into referring me to a GI specialist.
ABSOLUTELY - you should never give up and ignore it. especially acid reflux. Be kind to your esophogas (: good luck!

    total steps 9718

Ran into coworker at work - seems their entry level person left and they are short staffed. I know a temp looking to stay so I asked my coworker if I could forward a resume - you never know.

Look for another drawer to dejunk or cuddle with dog. Hmmmmm

    Wishing all a good night.

13k steps today and I was in a major calorie deficit most of the day until my aunts birthday dinner rolled around. I cooked dinner and drank wine while cooking and then drank wine while eating. I love a good bottle of wine with good company.

It was some butter-licious shrimp scampi too. Oh well I have good and healthy food to munch on for the rest of the week ( ˘ ³˘)♡

Tracey - It is quite common for (common) people in Manhattan to eat out because few apartments are large enough to have company! :open_mouth:

I have a cafe table (full of paperwork) in my kitchen, and then there's the bedroom. It's a tiny studio, so no living room. *sob*

I didn't realize you were in Manhatten, that makes a lot of sense!

    THURSDAY

    Good morning,

PB2 with a little oil in my oatmeal and no sugar on top. Small steps.

Seems closet is my next thing to tackle (luckily I only have one - but like many it is the place to throw things). I ended up not dejunking last night what a surprise.

Marsel - coworker has an apt for her own heartburn before it becomes worse. Is alcohol one of your "better to avoid" items? That list can vary from person to person and dr to dr. Wow great step count. Good for you.

Okay time to get back to my routine. Lurking from work.

    Wave to all who follow.

Morning all! Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and successful day. Have to hit the grocery this morning en route to the office. Cupboard is getting pretty bare, and that is when I get in trouble.

My office is in the middle of the city in a deep cul-de-sac that isn't in walking distance of any restaurants, and we only have a small vending area. The food trucks discovered this and there are days that the cove looks like an episode of Food Truck Roundup! Usually yummy, but hard on the pocket book and the waistline so I try to keep frozen meals on hand. My latest obsession is Healthy Choice Korean Beef Power Bowls. SPICY!!
24 (brrrrrr!!) degrees this morning with a wind chill in the teens. This southern girl does not like the cold! Come oooooon summer!

Oh it definitely has been one of the major triggers but last night I was surprisingly okay, didn't sleep well but not due to any heartburn related symptoms, just from over indulgence (-_-;) this is one of many reasons I'd like to kick weekday drinks.

I see people talking about frozen meals! Have any of you guys tried the Wildscapes frozen meals? I'm not big on the usual range of frozen meals (usually because between 3 girls I don't have freezer space) but these have intrigued me as a good back up to keep at the office.

4700 steps Woefully short of any goal. Spent day in satellite office and it was roasting hot. They went from no heat at all to bake-at-350 heat there. Was really uncomfortable. Did not eat much there because heat killed appetite but, unfortunately, when I got home and resumed a normal temp, the appetite returned and I was in the red. :(

Will have to see if I can get any extra steps in today. The office gym has been pretty busy lately with all the cold weather and the machines have been full.

Luckily (maybe) both of my offices are far from fast food. One is about 15+ minutes away from a few places, the other is pretty isolated with only a little mom & pop convenience store about 30+ minutes one way. So I don't have the time or ability to just run out ad grab fast food or grocery. That forces me to make my own meals.

marsellilove - i havent really ventured out into other parts of the forum. how are they negative? guess i am spoiled by being here because I thought they were all supposed to be positive & supportive like this one!

I saw a thread that had a considerable amount of people calling hypothyroidism a "trendy disease" that and that made me pretty angry. Other threads just aggressively shooting down innocent steps towards a healthier lifestyle. Basically everything I was afraid of coming in contact on the forum before I found this wonderful community.

Serial starters... the name makes me giggle. I am for sure one of those. Working MFP for motivation and accountabilty.

My mid morning snack is yelling at me, oranges and computers aren't friends.

Welcome! These are wonderful people to stay accountable with!

frozen dinners - healthy choice (mildly spicy) are my go to lately, but I am finding recipes online to make myself to lower the sodium content.

waiting for help at work - have to retrieve a claim that I made irretrievable - not willing to confess to person I should go to, she has already insulted me once today.

Marsel- I have seen what is possible from other boards so I dont wander too far- glad we can keep you on the right path without too much negative energy

marsel- I went online and checked wildscapes frozen and if they would specify what "spices" are it would please me more. I am allergic to coriander/cilantro (seed/plant) and many of the new fangled food embrace this spice which is fine- I just cant eat it. Will take a closer look at the store, my store supposedly carries it........

on mental break from work - thats the toilet flush you just heard - sick sense of humor.
