    Good evening,

Went to first church outdoor sermon. Masks, temps 6 feet and all.

Went back after lunch and worked on the food pantry drop off. Did less than last month -but I cannot be doing this on a regular basis. I need to speak up before next month. Got 6500 steps in, but I would rather have help.

Monday is tomorrow - joy of joys. Lets hope things go okay.

Right now I am watching cooking shows, not too many brain cells needed.

    Wishing all a good night.

Maureen - when do you move to Charlotte?

Sara - good for you for getting so many steps in yesterday! Cheering you on! Take your Happy Spray with you today.

Where is that handsome young man with the pot of half-car?

    Good morning.
Welcome Jsricos! Good group to be in.
Sara - a bit behind, but the day those pics were taken the chicks were 2 days old :) Enjoyed playing with them this weekend.
I have come down with a bum knee. Did end up going to Dr. hoping to just get a PT referral. Did xrays and found fluid and a bone spur. Waiting on calls back to hear next step Most steps hurt :( Hard to get exercise this way.
One day at a time I guess.
Waves to Lana, Maureen (congrats on closing) Runa, Dawn, Tracy, Missy and all others who stop in.

Lana, I'm not familiar with any of those terms, but they are delightfully expressive. And I plan to arrive in Charlotte around June 30, with July 1 being my move-in date.

I've been working today and walking Skye for a bit of a break from the screen. In person tomorrow and hoping someone shows up. It's so boring without students. I have plenty of paperwork, but I miss "my" kids. This has all been so hard on them and they are so out of the habit of getting up and out for school.

I have been hungry lately--too much eating at maintenance or even slightly above, although I don't think I've gained much weight. I have the scale in the car and just need to bring it into my hotel room. And do some shopping to make sure I have what I want in my room. I am just craving salads daily and I've been buying them, but I need more veggies on them to help with the hunger. And probably more protein.

But, it's been a lovely day today and Skye is doing so well with the change and the casual training I do with her. All in all, a good day.

    Good evening,

First thing when I got home was email the Food Pantry and said from now on I will work in the kitchen. Let someone with muscles do the other stuff.

Got my steps in. Another day done.

Bone spurs are not fun things to play with, glad you are being proactive.

Wishing all a good night. Stay safe and sane out there.

Thank you for the welcomes, my name is Sue, (easier to type) I got cancer, yay go me! Throat cancer aka, cancer of a million papercuts.
35 rads, 3 chemos, fun fact - did you know chemo boosts your metabolism to about 3500 cals a day? So with a stomach the size of a grape, and a papercut throat (NOOOO to applesauce omg) Boost became my best friend.
I lost 100 pounds really fast - 3 months or so. Hence the flabby bits. Got yelled at by my doctors a fair bit too - and threatened with a feeding tube... yuck

So I ate high calorie to get them to stop yelling, and to stop passing out, (along with throat cancer, I have an incinerated Thyroid, and Baroreceptor dysfunction.) We all have baroreceptors, they live on our carotids, they are what tells your body to pump blood to your head when you stand etc.. without it, you kinda fall down, go boom.. a lot.

So that's my 100 pound weight loss in a nutshell, I've gained some, now I need to lose, but slower this time, so my skin can keep up :)

Wow Sue - that is quite the journey. I am glad you are here to talk about it. Inspiring fight!
Lana - thank you for the smile. I have no idea what the plan is yet. I am limping around in quite a bit of knee pain. MRI next week then I suppose an Ortho dr. and then maybe finally answers.
Maureen - I am glad Skye is adapting. Dogs are resilient.
    Have a great day!

Sue, sorry to hear about your struggles. I hope you have an excellent prognosis after all that. My sister has had breast cancer twice now, after weight loss surgery, so she hasn't been well in quite a while. I think she is finally turning a corner, though. So I have tremendous sympathy for you, with weight issues and cancer and all the complications that can cause. Did you ever think you'd be grateful you had a lot of weight to lose? I'm just thinking how awful this would have been if you hadn't had at least some to spare (not saying you needed to lose that 100).

Lynn, what did I miss, re: your knee pain? Is that bone spur-related, or is that someone else? I'm confused.

Greetings to all who stop by. Have a good day.

    Good morning!
Lana - will be interested in plumbers crack stories. LOL not really.
Maureen - yes my knee went from being an annoyance to some pretty signifcant pain. So I went in hoping to go to PT. Instead I got diagnosed with a bone spur on my knee. Haven't honestly really talked to anyone about it yet. Just got referred to get an MRI. Then probably to orthopedic dr. and then maybe some answers. Frustrating, but yes...there are way worse things. I will keep on keeping on!
    Waves to all!

    Good morning peeps! 🐥

Sara - that is smart of you to clear your weekends for yourself 👍🏻

    Lynn - 🤣 plumbers cracks!
When I was in my twenties, I worked at a stage lighting rental shop. There was a guy there, Mike, and well..... a lot of the crew would often tell him that he should be a plumber, not an electrician! It was not a pretty sight.
The young lad who showed up yesterday was not afflicted with this condition, but he was a little too weird to be roped into becoming a Cabana Boy. Dang.

    Good evening,

Monthly Monster meeting went okay as she didnt have a lot to complain about except my # needed to be higher (my goal for the month I only have 5 days left in ..... lovely isnt it) and to make my phone calls shorter. I could not wait to get out of that office.

One more day to the weekend. Hang in there.

    Wishing all a good night.

    Happy Friday and TGIF

Monster got a bee her bonnet and was a sheer terror to coworkers today. Although I was not a direct target its hard to work in situations like that. I figured it was her bee and her problem.

Rain clouds passing overhead so mountains will get the rain - not the 90's of recently- and for that I am grateful.

Lana- that scale ## is coming down..... good for you. Mine is as well, when I start hitting memorable numbers I will let you know.

    Wishing all a good night.

    Good morning all~~

Sara - I'm glad that you were not in the line of fire yesterday. One thing about Monster--she is soaking in her own unhappiness. It must be awful to be her.
I hope that you have a good weekend and have some fun things to do - crafts, knitting, visiting, and relaxing.

My choice to have the entire package of yummy fettuccini alfredo yesterday was enough to send that scale upwards again. White carbs make me retain water.

This afternoon there is a meet and greet in my neighborhood. I am looking forward to it~~

    How is everyone else doing?

    Good morning,

Slept in because tomorrow with church I cant as much. Sorted out one corner of my yarn mess. One area at a time.

Lana sounds like it might be good to meet your neighborhood. Hope you enjoy it.

After lunch I have a facial - have not had one in a long time. So inside the rest of the day as I will be highly susceptible to sunburn on my face. As I have nothing planned it will be interesting to see what I do.

Temps here are more normal for our season which is wonderful

Wishing all a great day. Stay safe and sane out there.

    Happy Sunday ☀️

Boy, I went off the food rails yesterday with sushi (soy sauce) followed later in the day with two brownies. As usual, Mr. Scale tracked for me, with a vengeance! Dang.

    Back on program today.

    Good morning,

Lana scale loves to tell me about my sodium intake too, so I made sure today to get more water in.

Harder to be on plan if you are on a weekend schedule. Work keeps temptation of the freezer and the grocery store away. We will get there, just keep trying.

Wishing all a good night. Stay safe and sane out there.

    Good morning!
Was a busy garden planting weekend for me. Didn't finish, but I guess got enough done for now  Trying not to put undue pressure on myself when it really is not that big of a deal.
This week - Wednesday is MRI on knee, although won't get results until June 3rd - yes June 3rd! Every step of this seems to take a week. In the end it will be a month since I first called dr. Thank goodness I can walk. Not well, but I can get from place to place! Our great health care!
Have a great Monday! Waves to all!

    Good morning!

No major plans this week. That's nice for a change.

Having a leisurely sushi lunch with my Moose sisters in a couple of hours and we have a meeting Thursday night to plan our golf tournament for August.

Three day weekend coming up and I am looking forward to it!

    Good evening,

AZ - go and walk or run more today so that you have earned for calories for your day.

Eye apt this afternoon meant I only had to deal with work for a half day - good news the eye dr says my eye pressure is good.

I bypassed the ice cream store, but biscuit/cookie store and came home and still ate junk food. Just less of it. I also got my 5k in walking.

Wishing all a good night. Stay safe and sane out there.

    Good morning ☀️

    Welcome to AZrising 👋🏻

Lynn - glad that you can get around and get things done with your knee the way it is. Do be careful though. So sorry to hear that everything goes so slowly. Do you have an appointment booked to see doctor once they have results of MRI? Because it's "bone", will you have to have surgery to remove it?

Sara - great news from your eye doctor! 👍🏻

Tracy - thank you for mentioning the 3-day weekend! Foggy me--I hadn't connected the dots. You've saved me from some banking and post office failure 😘

OK, I've got to hit it hard on The Project today. 🔨
