Wow- enjoyed the photos = if you saw my refridge you would know why I am excited for you. Nice looking rings as well.

Dog visit was okay - they now want me to bring her in weekly?? I asked if could speak to her regular doctor and hope to hear from her tomorrow? (day off) - dog is now eating senior food - I just bought a bag and mixed it with what she has. Doesnt sound good though. She may have to have surgery sooner than later.....but we shall see.

Making oatmeal and putting roasted vegetables in. I am in a foul mood (dog) to cook so what is easy and comforts is best.

Missy - beautiful rings! I love the idea of a small wedding...I would love to just go outta town and it just be us... we'll see if that day comes... no hurry here... love the fridge, too!

Lana - I hate tracking, too...I really can't say that it has helped one bit...

Sara - it's definitely not a senior thing at all...i do that often, myself... for some reason, I keep making everyone around me including myself, a year older... can't figure that one out at all....

Still no more ice... but, not supposed to start till 10:00... which is scary since boss wants us in, tomorrow

Dawn - Hard when all I have is hope at the moment but at least for now we are acting proactively.

Oatmeal for dinner and Hot chocolate will be had after awhile.

Missy I know of so many people who wished in their heart of hearts that there "monster" size wedding could have been smaller. Have a large party afterwards for those people you know to celebrate.

Will break in my hot water bottle sweater tonight with dog on recliner.

Sara - good thoughts for pup... sounds like you are doing what's best for her...

Missy - that sounds like a great plan... Colorado would be a beautiful place for a wedding...

Lana- hope trip is good and you make it safe..

Weather is still staying clear... if we get this 2nd round of storms, it will be really bad and lose power... keeping fingers crossed it misses us...

Dawn and Missy, hope you dont get too bad of a storm. If so be careful out on the roads.

Missy - I agree with Dawn, sounds like a good well thought out plan.

Tomorrow I tackle the freezer - throw out old, stock up a little on what I actually use. Clean out bottom of fridge. Water/vinegar helps with the plastic smell.

Off to get some zzz's. Wishing all a good evening.

    SUNDAY

Good morning. Dog up and fed. Water boiling for hot water bottle. My knitted "sweater" for hot water bottle keeps water hot twice as long.

Groceries, clean fridge/freezer and bake potatoes - will need more sleep stayed up late watching dvd. With any luck I can talk to Dr about game plan for Miss T.

Will stop by later - need more ZZZ.

Sara - Sending good vibes out your way for you and Miss Tillie. It must be very stressful for you. Hugs.

Missy - Congratulations on wonderful new fridge, and the rings are beautiful.

Dawn - I hope your power stays on and the storms are not too bad for you.

I made it down to NC just fine.
Looking forward to daily meditation, doing some oil painting, and getting in daily exercise/walking!

Hey all - I need some help.

I can't find how to get to the MFP place where you tell it how many pounds per week you want to lose, what your stats are now, and then it figures out how many calories you get for the day. I've been to that place before, but I want to change my daily calories for 2 pounds per week.

How do I get there? On laptop or phone - I can do either, but I am so foggy, I can't find it by myself.

    Thank you~~

Missy - thank you I had no clue how to help Lana. Glad you got safely to NC.

Bought Ricotta cheese at store, figured it was probably a better snack than some of the things I eat after dinner.

Ignoring the almonds until after weigh in tomorrow.

Tea kettle for tea and hot water bottle, will snuggle with dog for awhile, still early and not in a hurry.

Okay - dog will be taking a probiotic for awhile and I will go back Sunday for another anal expression just to see if there are changes.

Seems my credit card and electricity bill did not get paid although it shows up as delivered in my bank payment system..... set up another payment and emailed bank to find out what happened. Electronic payment is easier, but sometimes I wonder. I have done everything that I can today to fix the "hot spots" in my life, now time to relax and let go.

One of my dogs favorite dogs is moving out today, I will take her on a walk soon. I do not set up meals well on weekend so I may just eat one of my work lunches.

Breathing deeply in the knowledge that I have done all I can for right now.

    Sunday evening.....

I managed a walk to and from the grocery store today. Jeez was I overdressed. I'm wearing a winter coat - it's 55 degrees, and everybody else is out in long-sleeved shirts only. The phone said I walked 2.5 miles today. It was NOT easy. The bottoms of my feet were all weirded out by it.

Also I managed to log all of my food onto MFP today. :open_mouth:
I'm within calories, but it's only 6:15PM: we are entering the evening time, when I can get into all sorts of trouble if I lose it.....

Time to read or watch TV.

Sara - hope the probiotic helps Miss Tillie... always so rough when pups aren't feeling well...

Lana- so glad you made it and figured out how to change your weight/ calories...Congrats on the 2.5lb walk!

Missy - glad the snow didn't last long...I finally ventured out, today... made it to work... roads weren't bad at all... probably could have got out, yesterday... oh well... made up some hours... thankfully

Made very poor food choices, today... completely my fault...I put things in my mouth, without even stopping to think about what I had already eaten.... lots of carbs.. on the plus side...I moved more today than I have in the last 2 days...

So, over the last couple weeks I have started eating a bowl of oatmeal for an evening snack... not every evening... depending on what we have for dinner and when we eat...I dunno what made me start this habit...I used to eat a piece of bread with pb... I do know, however, it keeps me from eating an entire row of Chips Deluxe Triple Chocolate cookies, that I am trying so hard to avoid...

Dawn - Pats on back for the good evening oatmeal. Can't go wrong--oatmeal is good for you.

I have the plumber coming to the house this morning to install a new kitchen sink faucet. My plumber is a good plumber and the bonus is that he is nice to look at.
See photo below, which is fuzzy and I have no idea what size it will come out to be.

    Monday morning

Well, I'm sounding like a broken record as I say I'm re-starting for the new year again today. But I really am. Trying to keep the mindset that food is fuel. I will plan and eat things that I like, but I do not need (or want) the sweets/pop/bread, etc. DH's b-day is behind us now, so no excuses. I know diet is 80% of the battle and since my back is preventing me from exercising, I must track and stay within my goals on MFP.

We made extra chicken last night so I have leftovers to eat with salad for lunch each day this week. Plan looks something like this (breakfast, lunch, snacks the same each day):

Breakfast - 2 eggs, 2 cups coffee w/sugar-free cream (2 Tbsp per cup)
    Snacks - 1 light string cheese, 1/2 c. to 1 c. sliced cucumber
Lunch - chicken, asian chopped salad (no wonton sticks, very small amount of dressing)
Snacks - 1 light string cheese, 3 sweet peppers
Supper - Tonight is homemade beef stew, tomorrow is leftover beef stew, Wednesday is a turkey sandwich and baby carrots (eating on the run), and Thursday is tater tot hotdish. Not serving any breads/buns as side dishes. Will make the kids a piece of toast or buttered bread if they need it.

This puts me at 670 calories, 47 carbs, 57 protein, 23 sugars. So, I need more calories and proteins but want to keep the carbs/sugars low. I did buy a couple of low-sugar protein bars in case I need something "sweet". So I could eat one of those along the way, or space it out through the day.

    Now, to work this plan!

    Annie

Annie - sounds like you're on the right track! I still haven't got to the planning mode...I am just trying to consciously make better choices, eat smaller portions... can't say it's working... but, at least (for the most part) I stop to think, before I eat 5 cookies, instead of the 2 that are the serving... or, eat the oatmeal, instead of even 1 cookie... good for you not wanting sweets and soda... that will be a huge help for you!

    Good luck! You got this

Annie - dairy?? Good place for protein - try ricotta cheese/ yogurt/ milk - you list cheese which is good. Fabulous plan.

Sara - Yes! I keep forgetting that I want to add a cup of milk with supper! Pre-tracking it now...

    Good evening,

Running away from work. Will have eggs/ sausage/potato for dinner, # is in red.

May call it an early evening.

    Off to make dinner

Taking dog on walk. I may be the "dingbat" who may not have completed the transaction, we shall see what bank will say - I wonder if they get that a lot.

    TUESDAY

    Good morning,

Slept well last night - which is appreciated.

Coworker came back after almost a year - breast cancer. She went on a diet and lost 60 pounds. I told her she just got the 240 pound old man off her knees (60 pounds lost is 240 pounds of pressure off knees). I am glad she is losing weight - and that she has done so well.

Waiting for oatmeal will put kettle on to get a little more sleep before dog walk/ work. Will be at Lana's Palm Tree tonight.

    Wave to all who follow.

Good morning Sara! Waves to all who follow.
Sara - it's good to hear that you slept well last night.

My report: I fully tracked everything on MFP Sunday and Monday, including the out-of-control eating of TWO bowls of junky pumpkin cereal that a past houseguest brought into the NC house.
Both days were in the red, but only yesterday was significantly so. The cereal is going outside into the garbage this morning.

QOTD: Will you be able to clock some exercise today?
