    Good morning all~~

I told my cousin (coming from upstate New York) that I was having a hard time finding someplace to stay for our 2-night trip to the NC beaches, and she said she'd be interested in going to Asheville instead. Whew~ That will be a lot easier to plan, so I am very much relieved.

Maureen, I would still appreciate any beach info that you'd like to share.

I need to up my protein intake. I have not been getting enough. That means I need to shop and cook more chicken and fish and not be lazy about it.

Wishing everyone a good day today 🌼

    Good evening,

Lana my pap smear came back "normal". I am having symptoms that are abnormal. Ultrasound needs to get scheduled. Otherwise it is quiet in medical-land

I have been busting my ascot to get production the last week or so. I caught the little vermin who has been going into my file and inflating her production with cases that have more than one procedure. A patient goes to hosp has 10 things done (think xrays and lab) but there is an issue with their insurance. I only have to check the patient's insurance once but get credit for taking 10 mistakes off the workfile.
I was beginning to wonder and then this naughty chick coworker made a couple of mistakes - any claim over $10k is noticeable in a world of $50 charges and are ones that I must attend to immediately. Seems she got the whole 7 cases for this patient incorrect as well as another patients 2 cases. I am working a week behind dates she plucked from my workfile.
Sent email to Sup and Sups boss asking if anyone was assigned to assist me and if not i had proof they were in my workfile. I was emailed by Sup this should not happen again by that little terd kitten.
Its yearly eval soon, what a dumb dumb. I also for June have an alibi why my ##s may not be as high .

Sorry for the rant, moral of the story, dont cut your coworker off at the knees and expect to get away with it. OR - dont get an over 50 old woman angry.

Temps are coming down here. Went out for dinner with neighbor. Found out later the small macaroni and cheese had between 1200 and 2100 grams of sodium (website not cooperative). Reason why I dont like to eat out.

Phew, thank you for still reading this.

Wish everyone a good night. Stay safe and sane out there.

    Good morning all~~

Whoa! Sara - that is some staggering story from work! What a little 💩 your co-worker is.
Good for you for figuring out all of her thievery and then getting word of it to your bosses. Jeez.

Bummer about that mac 'n cheese. Unfortunately any food that we don't make for ourselves will have way too much salt in it, which is how they get it to taste so good. Dang.

Now I'm thinking about mac 'n cheese..... 😋

    Hi all!
Got back from my trip to the cape. Was a fun few days walking around, shopping, pool time, sunbathing (with sunscreen), and eating really good food. Back to work tomorrow but WFH and only doing a half day. Will need some rest from vacation and doggies need some time to decompress from not having me home.

Sara- sucks about coworker. Hopefully they will learn from this experience.

Lana- have fun in NC. I’m also thinking about Mac and cheese now too.

Off to bed for me. Have a great night.

    Good evening,

Flying by on the way to sleeping.

That little terd from work has nerve to ask me questions about how to do her job. I could not see all that she was looking at and sent her up another ladder ring for consultation.

There are macaroni and cheese recipes that are lower in salt, so enjoy all you want.

Tomorrow is Friday - and you know what that means!!!! --- Free drinks at the cabana club and dance lessons that will burn twice as many calories. Things with toothpicks and colored fringe on the toothpicks as well - going all out for Friday. I may take one of the classes, but I will probably sit on the couch Lana and Missy.

Wishing all a good night. Stay safe and sane out there.

Returned from beach—great time. Lana, we were on Topsail beach. Lots of empty units and not at all crowded.

I ate well til today. Oh well.

Now I’m tired and cranky and in need of a good night’s sleep, but it’s only 4:23 pm.

I fly to WI tomorrow for a short visit. Should be fun.

Sara, I hope all smooths out for you. What a eeek.

‼️Maureen - Please tell me where you stayed! ‼️

Were you there for less than a week? I am looking for someplace that would let me book only 2 nights.

Lana, we only stayed 3 nights. It was a place called the Drunken Parrot, 7400 9th street in North Topsail Beach. Not ocean front, but ocean view from one spot on the deck and a short walk up the road to the beach.

I came to this site and wrote a self-pitying post bc might weight was the highest in 3 years this morning. But my son, the dogs, and I went to our secret forest and I got in 4 miles of walking and jogging and feel better, so I deleted the draft I had saved. Everything seems better after a jog and fresh air and time with family.

Missy, did you have fun? Was it a party or a night on the town?

    Have a good day, all.

I had fun, my family (grandma, and uncles) went to Provincetown for 4 days, 3 nights. Went to a different restaurant each night. I hadn’t gone in a few years but went this year as who knows if my almost 91 year old grandma will be able to make that trip again she’s got dementia and fading fast. So trying to spend as much time with her.

    Hey y'all~~

What a morning this is: the plumber is here to snake out my kitchen sink drain. This poor guy is overweight and not in good health. He is huffing and puffing just from being! He's not having a good time with this project. I hope that he survives it and doesn't collapse in my kitchen.

Needless to say, I look at him and see how important it is to me that I get my weight down.
I'm very much like him. It doesn't take much to get me out of breath and dripping with sweat.

After he leaves, I will be in the pool doing my water exercises.

    Wishing everyone a good Monday~

    XO

    Happy Tuesday,

Lana, there is a lady in church my age-ish - it took strokes and heart issues to get her to lose weight. Any small thing you can do today makes a difference. Keep adding to it.

Warm windy and smoky day - outside exercise is not healthy. Well there went my afternoon dream plans.

Cottage cheese and Wynn fruit (thought of you today Lana when I opened the box) is dinner. Good protein, fruit and easy on a day where my brain is fried.

Seems my online etiquette got me in hot water Friday at work. My neighbor says less is more,
so I will not assist anyone unless they ask for it. I can focus on work. Too much smelly crap at work.

Apple crisp made this past weekend and I have frozen peaches so guess what??? Yes, I want coffee cake and this is my compromise.

    Didnt expect an essay-

Wishing all a good night. Stay safe and sane out there.

    Good morning everyone~

Sara - all of your food ideas sound good! Yes, I have to keep plugging along with my efforts to stay on the beam as best I can with mental health and attitude, food planning and shopping, and whatever exercise I can get in every day.
For me, it starts with the mental health.

I am sad to hear that the fires/air quality are dominating your area once again. Dang.

My cousin from NY State is arriving (by car) sometime on Friday. She has never been here to my house in NC. The guest room is all set, but I still have a lot to do around the rest of the house and yard to make the place more presentable. There will be lots of steps!! 👍🏻

Waving to Maureen and Missy and anyone else who stops by today!

Hi, all. I managed to catch an exhausting cold on my 2nd leg of summer travel—so tired Tues-today and traveled for 10 hours yesterday.

But the good news is I got my tattoo and I love it.

Sara, I hope you are safe from all that. Sounds awful.

Everyone else, I enjoy reading of the summer plans. Missy, sorry about your grandma’s decline. It’s hard.

Lana, did you take a place in the beach for your cousin’s visit?

I have a follow up with oral surgeon later today. Hope to be back to “normal” with mouth soon—and will jump back in with implants in another few months. Maybe I can have oral surgery while they work on my other knee. Ha. They won’t want to risk infection so I’m sure I can’t.

Looking forward to feeling the energy to get up and out with the dogs again in the cooler but still ever so humid morning air tomorrow.

Back at it again after a long hiatus due to injury. Not too many active MFP friends left and looking for people to share motivation and support with. Got my exercise back to being a part of my regular routine, now I'm trying to do the same with my diet. Have a pretty good knowledge of kinesiology and nutrition. Feel free to add me.

Missy, it’s 90 here but not so humid. Son and I did a “strenuous” hike today and I had to stop multiple times. I did it without stopping 30 lbs ago. I also need to use a steroidal inhaler bc my lungs are inflamed fro 2+ years of allergies out-of-control, but can’t until after surgery. My legs felt good although my knees had a hard time with the steep down hill sections.

I’m settled in for the next 3 weeks, then a 3 day hiking trip with a sister, then surgery (knee replacement). Summer feels gone already.

    Stay cool, all.

    Good morning all~

I've been enjoying having my cousin here to visit. Tomorrow we will be going to Asheville for a couple of days, then back home, and then she'll leave on Thursday.

Maureen - We won't be going to the beach on this visit, but I am glad to have that info you gave me~

I had horrible dreams last night, and woke up way too early. I am very sleepy.
Should I try to go back to sleep?

A nice, warm weekend. Got my 5 miles in for the past 4 days. I’m tired from climbing Crowder mtn on Thur though. It was awful how winded I was compared to 2 years ago—I really need that steroid for my lungs but will need to wait for most healing to be done in both legs I think.

Got some healthy meals in and had a couple smoothies that are so cool and refreshing. I eat them with a spoon so they last longer.

Hoping everyone is safe from heat and storms and fires.

    Hello,its Tuesday

Someone at work wrote how angry she was when she thought it was Wednesday only to find it was Tuesday -end of our fiscal year is just so much fun.

Made a macaroni and cheese baked, that was lightyears better than anything else I tried. Key was adding cream cheese.

Lana glad you are having a good time with your cousin. Sightseeing is great for steps.

Hot temps at night has also given me some really bizarre dreams. I am hoping the cool down will help.

Wishing all a good night. Stay safe and sane out there.

    Good Day All~~

I'm so tired. At long last my house guest/cousin is on her way, and my other obligations have been moved to next week.

I am exhausted, and I will be having several days doing very little. I love her, but she talks nonstop, which is so very much draining.

While Barbara was here my steps were doubled!! This was without intentional walking.

We are coming up on the weekend...... What do you all have on your agendas???

It is our fiscal year end and I am so happy to be done.

Why is some of my best thinking done in the bathroom? I thought of a commercial for my company. I told my manager as I am not in Marketing (who knows who she knows?) and wrote it all down.

HOT as fire next week the lowest temps I have seen on websites is 105 for great part of next week and as high as 110. Just shake my head.

It is Friday. Time to celebrate not using my alarm clock for 2 days. Hair color and pedicure and maybe a facial as well tomorrow.

Wishing all a good night. Stay safe and sane out there.

Sara - I too am shaking my head at the temps you'll be having. Will you be turning on your music and dancing at home to get in your steps/activity? 💃🏼 👍🏻

It has been very dry here in NC. Some of the smaller neighborhood trees are drooping.
I've been keeping the back yard water dish filled for the birds and little critters.

    Trying again.

Currently at 230lbs. Many years ago, I got myself from 260 to 195. I know I can do it again. I've started this journey many times since. Just need to commit.
