@gemwolf110 Did you get any exercise in today yet? I can see all your doggies different personalities. One looks grumpy, one looks like a selfie star, one looks sad, and one looks like the person that always make a funny face in every picture. lol

No I unfortunately I didn’t. I was so wiped out still from the reaction to that shot. I ended up missing two more days of work bc the reaction was c-19 like. Which after rapid and pcr testing it wasn’t c-19. Thank goodness. It was either a reaction to the shot or I had picked up a cold. Haha yes they all have different personalities.

@trooworld Yaaaay, you are channeling me. Good choices you made. Didn't go for the choc chips, meditated and worked out. Yaaay on no stress eating. Just keep staying in bounds and you will see your WHOOSH. Thanks for sharing the article.

@teresaw1020 I love not having to be in the plus size section anymore. How are you feeling after the shot? If you have cbabie as a long lost sister, then you get me as a bonus gift. :D Yes, you will turn it around. It's so easy to get detoured. So shopping led to the shake/fries. Maybe one or of the other? Ideally, none but..... Then did the stop tracking come first or the stop fasting?

@cbabie Yaaay for saying No to fast food. Luckily I only had to do gymnastics in school one year. I hated the balance beam. I don't have good balance. Even back then. My knee is better today.

@retiredandlovingit I'm so glad you were able to go to OK and had a good time. So sorry to hear about your sil. I hope his time will be easy and brief.

    Exercise- 35 mins physical therapy

I had PT yesterday. I told her she has to switch from hip to knee exercises now. lol She said the osteoarthritis is minimal so I should keep doing the RICE method until this injury goes away. (and not to re-injure by stepping up too high) I'm learning to use the other leg. We did new exercises and 10 min on the bike which I said this is not a bike but a seated elliptical. lol Had I known, I would have brought my earphones. So next time. Then some leg extensions and all. She was thrilled that I could name and show all the exercises by memory of the 4 pgs she gave me last month. I guess most people don't do them once they are home. I didn't do them everyday I told her but 4-5 times a week. I need my body back in working condition.

A funny story happened while I was there. She called my name and I stood up walking towards her at the same time a woman in a wheelchair was raising her hand saying Yes, that's me. I looked at her saying I'm X. She said no I'm X. I said well my appt is for 10:40. She said my appt is for 10:40. By this time everyone in the waiting area was watching so the therapist confirmed with reception that it was ME that was her patient. The other lady had a different therapist. My therapist laughed as we walked into her cubicle and said, I was looking at the lady in the wheelchair thinking you didn't look like that before but maybe my memory is getting bad. I said, I've never had that happen to me before either. What are the odds?

Morning all, I can't believe it. I had a Post typed and I thought I had sent it. I was on my phone...but I did not. I am so sorry. I have been tracking and really haven't walked, but for some reason I have been cleaning. Today I am tired, so I am not sure how much I will get done. LOL

@trooworld I think you should relax today you have had a stressful week with your pup.

@RetiredAndLovingIt I am sorry to hear about your sil I pray he recoups quickly. You will get your routine back, I am sure of it.

@TeresaW1020 You will get back in the groove. I think part of our life style has to include those days of indulging, but also the days of getting back on track. But I could be wrong. I am sure you will get it back on track.

@gemwolf110 I am sorry you feel this way, but I pray that you make a decision that is good for you! It took me a long time to heal from being let go and I left with a bad taste and it wasn't good for my health or relationships. There is a person that I know that is REALLY smart and could probably do anything they set their mind to, but this person hates being with people and drove a semi for a long time and ENJOYED it...then something in his life changed and he had to give that up. I remember one time that someone said something about his smarts and he could do anything...he hated people telling him that...BUT HE LOVED BEING ALONE with his dog in the cab...so moral of this story is do what is good for you!!!

@theslightedgeforever glad your knee is better and of course you would know all the exercises..I can hear you and dad having this PT conversation in my head. LOL

@trooworld So what good choices did you make today? I got 50% I keep forgetting to tell you. Now you got me singing Louie Louie Louie..... What good books did you get?

@cbabie Tracking is good. It is becoming a habit for you. Soon you will have the habit of movement. Indulging for a day. I think of it like "On the 7th day God rested". Now we know he didn't really need to rest. I think he was setting a behavior standard for us. So there is indulge but don't go crazy into gluttony. Well you know dad wouldn't do any of his PT. I just really want to get better. Now I wish the same exuberance would transfer over to food.

Hi all...I need to go down & walk on the treadmill (been raining all day), but thought I would get on here first.

@cbabie I hate it when I lose my post!! Good job with the cleaning..want to come to my house? lol. Keep tracking.

@theslightedgeforever Sounds like you are doing well with the PT. After I broke my leg, I did PT for quite awhile, but have gotten away from the exercises. I probably should still be doing them some. That's crazy with the names!

@trooworld Glad the drops are helping your doggie. Our pets are definitely like kids! Hope you have a relaxing day & get to read a little.

@gemwolf Sorry to hear you had such a bad reaction to the shot. I didn't, so hope it is still doing its job, lol.

@TeresaW1020 Good luck getting back with it. I am having the same problem since our little trip. Since we were all vaccinated, we ate in a restaurant a few times. It seemed so normal, lol!! But I relaxed a little too much on my food & didn't log, so the scale has not been my friend since.

Well, not much else for news here. SIL still having a mild case of Covid, thank goodness. Since dd has still been teaching, I have been texting him each morning to check up on him. (& nagging him about checking his O2 level, lol) I guess the other day he texted gd & asked for a granola bar. So she opened the stair door & threw it down to him! (not going to get close, lol) The gkids could go back to school Monday if they have a negative test, or Thursday without a test as long as no symptoms. I think they are going to do the Thursday. Gs was sad because he would miss some baseball games (he's 11), but the games got rescheduled because they didn't have enough for a team....he's in quarantine, one teammate broke his finger, and another was hurt. I'm kinda glad because it has been raining & they play regardless. Not fun to watch in the rain!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

@trooworld Yeah, as I told you in the other group, I’m sure the Easter chocolate bunny triggered the binge. I’ve been listening to a podcast about food addiction and how it hijacks the brain. I’ve got all the classic symptoms which sucks but I also understand what’s happening and working on prevention is going to be the key to success. :/ I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

@theslightedgeforever I feel fine after the shot. My arm hurt a bit and I had a headache the next morning. I’m just really hoping the second shot goes as easily as the first one. Yeah, no shake and fries would have been a better choice or at least just one…and NOT the large size! Tracking stopped when I went off plan and because I went off plan and overate sugar and carbs I get extra hungry which affects my fasting times. It’s all a vicious circle and an epic fail! :# That is great that your PT is going so well. What a funny story with the other patient and you all having the same name. Ohhh and I’ll take you for a sister as well. We need to have a family reunion! :D

@cbabie I agree that part of our lifestyle should have days of indulgences. I don’t think it’s good to do any one thing all the time, but it’s not good for me to go off plan four times in one week. :s

Good morning! Well, I’m happy to say that I’ve been back on track the last couple of days and the scale is slowly moving back down. It’s so crazy how fast the scale will jump up and how long it takes to go back down. This is why maintenance must be so very hard for people once they reach goal. But since never giving up is my motto, I will keep on getting back up and moving forward. I have church this morning and then this afternoon, I plan to work on the puzzle that has been driving me crazy for a way too long now. It needs to get done and get out of my life! :/

@retiredandlovingit So now that you are home, back to the basics that you know work for you to get back in the good graces with your scale. I had the same thought as you about cbabie and cleaning. lol I'm chuckling about you nagging about the 02 levels. I sent my kids a pulse oximeter so they could check theirs if needed. You make me miss baseball season. That was a part of our life for so long.

@trooworld Woohoo on your good choices. That book series sounds good. I'm sorry your doggy is having such problems. It can be tiring.

@teresaw1020 I too am working on downsizing and reducing portion sizes of foods that would be better that I did not indulge in very often. So how about work on tracking no matter what you are eating. It can help with awareness of just how many carbs and sugar grams that we can put away if we aren't careful. I think maintenance would be easy for me if I could ever reach goal. lol I can bing bong back and forth around the same range. It's just not at my ideal range.

    Hey all

I hope everyone is doing well! Been thinking of you lately. I'm ok. Things are still not normal here though- gyms closed. Will be a yr now since I've been able to see my trainer regularly.

I'm still focused on maintaining and doing OK with that.

My bike is getting a tune up at end of April and then I can start biking again. I had a couple falls last yr so will be more careful this yr.

The good news is I bought a condo and am moving in 6 weeks. That was a big goal for me. It was stressful but I'm happy now. It is right near a good path for biking and walking so I am happy with that. I can't jog anymore but I can walk about an hour.

I am busy packing to move and also busy at work but will try to pop by once everything is settled.

I hope you all had a good Easter! Take care.

@its_cleo Hi, it’s great to see you pop in! That is great that you bought the condo. I remember you talking about it. It sounds like it’s going to be a good move for you. Have fun with the move and use your packing as a time to purge all the things that don’t spark you joy. :)

@theslightedgeforever I agree that tracking no matter what is a better idea than sticking my head in the sand singing, lalalalalala! The scale sure doesn’t hide anything, does it? I have no idea what maintenance is going to be like, but I sure do want to find out!

@trooworld I hope you got some better sleep last night. Yeah, I would totally take my car in for someone to wax it. Mine needs a good bath something fierce but we are waiting for the yellow pollen to subside. :/

Good morning! Yesterday, instead of staying home after church, DH and I went and ran some errands and then went to Chicos to look at clothes. This was the first time I’ve ever gone in. The sales lady was so great and after she found out that I had lost 80 lbs. she kept bringing me clothes to try on so that I could figure out what my new style is. I tried on a pair of size 12 jeans but they were too big in the waist, so I got a size 10. What!!!! I also bought a really cute top that was on sale. Their prices are higher than I’m used to paying for clothes but once I reach my goal, I will love splurging on some nicer pieces that I will keep for years. Today, I have my eye appointment to talk about getting contacts. I’m excited to find out if they will work for me and ditch having to wear glasses all the time. B)

@its_cleo So good to hear from you. I wondered how things were in Canada but I see not much has changed. Maybe this is all to teach us patience. That's great that you aren't gaining weight. How exciting for your new condo. Congrats.

@teresaw1020 You have been doing so well, maintenance will be here before you know it. Every time you post the word wax I say wax on wax off. lol I love Chicos. It's one of my favorite stores. Always go for the sales. If you have an outlet mall near you, there is a Chicos Outlet too.

@trooworld 50% I have had an uncharged Fitbit on my arm for 3 days now. I need to charge it. Everytime I think about it I get interrupted. So I'll go do that when I'm done. I'm ready to amp up the exercise since my knee is getting better everyday now.

Afternoon all, I am so sorry, I am overwhelmed and just wanted to pause and check in. Weight was up .6 and I have continually tracked. So far today I am emotionally eating. Not sure what is going on but this has to stop now...not going to keep it up all day. I have goals, don't my emotions know that? LOL

@trooworld Ugghhh, I know you hate when you stress eat. But dang you have been going through so much with your poor dog. I think it’s a win that you stopped at half the chocolate bar. But you should track it and then move on. :/

@theslightedgeforever We do have an outlet mall that is only 40 minutes away. They have a Chico's outlet and other great stores like Talbots and the Loft. Next time, I’m wanting new clothes we will drive out there for sure! I have to shop for the sales! Paying full price for clothes offends my need to get a bargain. :D

@cbabie I’m so sorry that you are going through another rough time. You have to look after yourself and the goals you want to achieve. There really isn’t any satisfaction in emotional eating but it sure is hard for us to not do it. Hang in there! <3

Good morning! Yesterday I went to my eye appointment and came out wearing one contact in my right eye. The doctor says my eyes look great and that my nearsightedness even slightly improved. Thank you IF! I’m not sure if I will like the mono-vision but they say it can take a week or two for my brain to adjust. I go back next week to see the contact specialist. I might have to switch to multi-focal contacts. I really want them to work! I started my new workout called Morning Meltdown 100 and it looks like it will be fun and challenging. Food is on point, but the scale is still moving super slowly back to where it was before Easter. I’m going to fast longer today and see if I can shake things up.

Morning all, Yesterday I didn't do like I always do, I had SOME self control. LOL I was over calories about 215, so not too bad. I am in a better place in my mind today. I am grateful for what I have. My dear sister is trying to get me to eat more fresh veggies. I don't like raw veggies. My mom wasn't a cook and I never really used to cook, more like BAKE..LOL or candies...So now I have to learn a new skill of cooking. LOL

@TeresaW1020 I did that one time with a contact...my eyes just don't do contacts well they are too dry and I live in AZ. I would like to try them again. My baby girl AGAIN smashed my glasses into my face and I thought I was going to have a bruise on my cheekbone. Glad you are getting back on track!!

@trooworld I am sorry you had a day like mine and teresaW1020 is right...it's okay and move on. Just think about LIFE..what if we couldn't recoup and move on from lets say a parent passing in their old age..it's something in life that happens, yet if you don't move on your life stops...I am learning a whole new perspective on eating and making myself fell bad and stopping.. I want LIFE and to enjoy it, not beating myself up everyday because I didn't do it perfect. LOL So that is why I got up this morning and TRACKED all that I ate yesterday and moved on..

@its_cleo SO glad to see you!!!! yea on your condo.. So happy for you

@cbabie Think of your goals as the parent and your emotions as the little bratty child throwing a tantrum. If you keep giving in to the child, the child becomes stronger and harder to control. It's okay to feel the emotions but not healthy for you to eat them. We all have days like this. Once we realize what we are doing, we can stop and head the other direction. It's good you took a pause and checked in with us for a recharge of your batteries. Listen to your wise sister. If she can start eating and cooking veggies, then you can. Slip veggies into an omelet if you like that. Salads are so easy. I don't like raw veggies except for carrots and sliced butternut squash. I will now eat cucumbers in a salad with carrots on a bed of spinach or spring mix in the bag. But I need dressing. Now for cooked veggies, there is a lot I like. Roasted veggies in the oven has to be one of the easiest things to make. You have a food processor, so easy to prep things that way. Plus teach that baby girl She can help in the kitchen by pushing the buttons or washing the veggies. Make veggies fun. (are you done rolling your eyes?)

@trooworld 50%. Fitbit. No :( Ask me again tomorrow. I think it's great that you only ate half the bar. That shows progress from when I first met you.

@teresaw1020 You will get back to pre-Easter weight. You are tenacious. I love the Loft but can't get myself to buy from Talbots because that is where my grandma used to shop when I was young. I can't wear Grandma clothes. ;)

@cbabie I LOVE roasting veggies! High heat, a little oil, seasonings, and roast until brown and yummy. My mom’s idea of veggies when I was growing up was opening a can. Yikes, I’ve had littles smash my glasses into my face before so I know that pain well. :#

@theslightedgeforever I am tenacious! Thanks for noticing. :D Maybe I need to look a little closer at Talbots clothes. I don’t want to look like a grandma either! :o

@trooworld I hope your network issues at work get sorted out. That is soooo frustrating! Fingers crossed that the new medication would help with your sleep. I woke up at 4 am so wide awake that I went and took another 5 mg. of melatonin. It helped me fall back to sleep until 7 am. Do you sleep in silence or use a fan? If I had to sleep in silence, I would never sleep. :)

Good morning! So, last evening I get a text from my hairstylist that her grandma is dying and can’t do my hair today and set me up for next week. I feel awful for her…and my poor hair that is now soooo overdue for some color on my grey roots. I am liking my new workout program. They are less than 30 minutes long so yesterday I did a double workout for upper body and core. I’m about to go in now and do one and then walk on the treadmill. I have some General Hospital to get caught up on. :)

@trooword I got 75% I'm getting better. No on the Fitbit but it's on the charger right now. Self-sabotage is the worst but it can be overcome. Just think about all the situations in which you sabotage yourself and then tackle them one at a time. I hope you get some good sleep. I have a hard time making good choices when I'm tired. Although I probably tell my brain that and so I act on that. I need to change my messaging.

@teresaw1020 It's always a good thing when you like your workout program. I did a good one today. I think moms of our generation only knew how to open a can for veggies. Probably the same veggies too. lol Grandmas of today are sexier I think than my Gramma was. Let me go check the current Talbots website. Some I would wear. Some I wouldn't. I like silence when I sleep. My hubby can have the TV blaring next to him. If I shut it off, he wakes up. But I like a fan and he doesn't. I tell him if he was menopausal, then he would want the fan. Sad about your hairdresser's grandma. Thinking about General Hospital makes me think of my granny. If you visited when her "stories" were on, you weren't allowed to talk. Good thing she used to watch same as me. ABC soaps. Afterwards she and I would talk about the character storylines and my mom would say, you act like they are real. Granny said they are real, I see them everyday. :D

@trooworld I got 100% Fitbit is on my wrist. I guess babysteps as you say. Yesterday I did a YouTube cardio workout and even though I modified it in certain places, I don't think I'm ready yet for that kind of workout. My leg ached all night long and knee was hurting again. So I guess I will just take the rest of the week and just walk. Then try again next week and do the workout and see how I feel. I'm glad you got some good sleep. Yes you will do better.

@theslightedgeforever It was my grandma that got me hooked on ABC soaps when I was 13 years old and living with her at the time. And yes, they were her “stories.” I totally think grandmas today are sexier than our grandmas were. One of my grandmas lived in shirtwaist dresses and an apron and my other grandma only wore jeans, chain-smoked, and cussed like a sailor. One guess who my favorite granny was! :D

@trooworld So far, my back is doing great with the new workouts. I have learned a lot about what not to do to protect both my back and knees. I just have to remember! I’m right there with you needing to do better with my eating. I started out great and then fizzled by the end of the week.

Good morning! Well, I managed to lose half a pound but I’m still up from my lowest weigh-in. My staff meeting went extra long yesterday and then the pastor wanted us all to go eat lunch together. So, I had more chips and cheese dip than I should have had. I didn’t eat dinner when I came home and that is the only thing that helped me with the scale this morning. I’m about to leave to go clean the church and then tomorrow morning I’m meeting another church friend to clean out some storage rooms. The pastor ordered a huge dumpster when we had to clean out from under the stairs and we are taking advantage and purging all we can purge!

Afternoon all, Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I have been out of my routine and get doing something and then sidetracked. I am still tracking and haven't really exercised this week. It's been windy and cloudy. I have made some better choice, but need to go to the store. (PS I only eat veggies out of the can). Yes the same ones...need to up my game. Baby girl loves veggies out of the can. She eats all my veggies out of my rice bowls. I need to learn out to make them and not buy the frozen ones. I have been letting go of the PB...only when I just can't shake it after trying to find something else...as I know I will eat until I finally eat the PB...so learning.

@TeresaW1020 Glad you like your new workouts. Don't you love decluttering!!! how refreshing! Hope you get better sleep tonight.

@trooworld I hate poor technology. I remember when we had to use our work computers because of security and when they were slow I just wanted to throw it..took me twice as long to do something. They finally figured out what the problem was and it would work great.. isn't it fun when you think you will gain and you don't. LOL

@theslightedgeforever yes be patient with the knee. Mom always slept with the fan...I like QUIET...DH put earplugs in...LOL. I have to keep "listening" for baby girl. LOL

@gemwolf110 What good food choice did you make today?

@trooworld At least you didn't gain. Maybe you'll see a whoosh next week. 75% for me. Yes fitbit on the arm.

@teresaw1020 Yaaay on your half lb loss. When I was reading about your grandmas I thought ooh that last one sounds fun. Then read your comment. lol I wish I was able to spend more time with mine. I could have learned alot from them.

@cbabie Sounds like you are making progress on your eating habits. It's a process.

My son called and was going to bring home Subway and I said I'm not making that mistake again as you think it's healthier eating until you track it. lol He said you can get a salad you know. That's right. I forgot. So I did and was pleased with my choice. Every little bit counts.

@cbabie Have you tried just getting the peanut butter out of your house? As you know I had to finally do that because I just couldn’t moderate it. I think the only veggies I ever buy in a can are corn, but now I don’t even eat that. Cooking fresh is so better in my opinion. :)

@theslightedgeforever, I like Subway salads and now they have protein bowls that have twice the meat than salads and those are great for low carb eating! I also wish I would have had my grandma around longer than I did. :/

@trooworld That is so wonderful that you feel comfortable enough to go to a restaurant and eat outside. By the ocean and a lagoon sounds amazing! What will your order? I also hope your husband can relax about the variants. I consider those to be part of life. We take risks every single day in a zillion different ways. I mean you drive on the California highways!!

Good morning! Well, I’m sitting here with a freaking cold! I started feeling sick last evening and my throat started hurting. My night was pretty miserable, and I had to cancel the church clean-out for today and teaching the kids tomorrow at church. So, I’m on meds and plan to take it super easy this week and get over this stupid thing. I have such a busy week coming up with hair and eye appointments, new countertops being installed, and an anniversary dinner on Tuesday with my sweet DH. So, ugghhhhh!! :#

Morning all, I did terrible yesterday. I tracked and was over on calories...but I had PB and Ice cream. I haven't done that in a long time and it didn't even taste good...so I think I am over that! YES. I haven't exercised all week, due to some things going on in my life, but I am still tracking..so I feel like I am still going in the right direction.

@TeresaW1020 I am so sorry you are sick. I pray for a fast recovery and you get to enjoy that anniversary dinner with DH!!! I can't get the PB out, baby girls likes it by the spoon and she needs the fat and protein. LOL I have decided I have to look at it like bread..eat 1/2 serving and choose when it's worth it. LOL

@trooworld Your dinner place sounds so relaxing..I hope DH relaxes and enjoys.. Maybe someday I will be a good veggie cook..LOL. I grew up on canned veggies..MY mom was NOT a cook..

@theslightedgeforever glad he called and told you what he was doing and just didn't bring you a sandwich home. LOL. Glad you liked what you got, now you know you can still go out for "fast food" and they can eat what they like and you have good choices still you can make.

@trooworld 50% You can ask for any Subway sandwich to be turned into a salad. Enjoy your outing. Something we all took for granted before. How's the exercise?

@teresaw1020 I think the only veggie I eat in a can now is pumpkin. :D Of course that is for my baking. I do cook fresh pumpkin from time to time. Yes, the variants are scary but then you are right. We can get hit with anything. I hope you feel better. I'd like to get to the place where when someone says I've got a cold my mind doesn't immediately go to corona.

@cbabie Can you do some kind of movement for 10 min? Moving is a good way to get rid of the stress in your life. Sitting and stewing seems to have the opposite effect. Having said that, I only did 17 min yesterday but hey, it was 17 min. My legs were hurting something bad and I just felt yucky. I had said to myself, can I just go walk 15 min. That's all I need to do. Pretty much all I did too. Poor planning on my part today so no exercise for me. So my normal rest day on sunday will be filled with some movement. My mom wasn't a cook either but I'm learning to cook veggies. I admit it's not the first thing I reach for but cauliflower rice is becoming a staple. I like brocolli soup. About the only way I will eat broccoli. I'm trying to find a good recipe for brussel sprouts to make them taste good to me. My goal is to eat cruciferous veggies daily. I do like stuffed cabbage but hate the time it takes to roll those up.

Yellow- Went over by 5 ugh
    Exercise- 17 min walk

    Green Day- Stayed OP
    Exercise-Rest Day

I really need to start tracking again :/ Friday wasn’t a good food day for snacking. Finished up the Easter candy finally. Actually this week has been stress eating. Kiara my bichon started limping so brought her to vets. They have to do X-rays but she needs to be sedated to get the X-rays they need of her back legs and hips. Hoping it doesn’t require surgery she is going to be 11 next month. Then my husky, Nasha, I brought in for her tip of tail. She had this bump/scab thing at the end that they don’t know what it is. So same day as Kiaras X-ray she’s going in to to have the tip looked at closer. And then work is a whole other animal.
I did good for meals on Friday I had eggs in morning, chicken for lunch and dinner. Saturday was better. Today will do my best. It’s my mom’s wedding day. It’s very low key.

@cbabie Are you brand specifi for your PB? I only have a problem with Jiff so that is what was banished from the house. DH and the dog are perfectly happy with the cheapest brand on the shelf so they each have a jar for them and I just have no desire for it. Is that something that might work for you? If not then you do just need to treat it like other foods and make sure to track it all before you even eat it. :)

@theslightedgeforever You just reminded me that I have a can of pumpkin that I need to do something with. Maybe some pumpkin Chaffles! I agree that it would be nice to not immediately think of Covid. I kept paying real close attention to my tastebuds but so far those are in fine working order.

@trooworld I’m glad that your DH was able to relax and that you had a nice time. Bummer that the burgers weren’t better tasting. I LOVE fried calamari!! My first meal with DH was at a small Italian restaurant and he ordered calamari. I was so scared to try them but didn’t want to say anything to him. It was love at first bite!

Hello! So, I had a text this morning that my hairstylist’s grandma just passed away so I will not be getting my hair done today. With my lingering cold, it’s probably for the best. I’m sure going to get my money’s worth once I do get these grey roots of mine covered up! :# I had a super lazy weekend with cold meds pumping into my system and trying to finish this super hard puzzle. It should be finished today, and I can’t wait!! The new countertops are happening this Wednesday and Thursday, so I need to plan out our meals and get the kitchen ready. I’m super excited but nervous about my cabinets and backsplash getting damaged. Just hoping for the best!

Morning all, I will start by saying yesterday was terrible for my food, I ate way more than I should have. I didn't walk as planned, but the good news is I lost 2.4 lbs this past week. I just have to stay focused and keep tracking. It keeps me accountable to me.

@trooworld I am glad there is hope for me to learn to cook veggies. LOL. I am sorry your dinner wasn't the best, but glad you guys enjoyed being "out". What trips me up is all the drama in my life, but I am learning to do better with it...Let God..

@TeresaW1020 Yes JIF is my brand and I buy it at Sam's 2 huge containers...I was going through so much of it I had to order 4 each month...this last month I didn't order it at all and still have 2 unopened jars and 1 just opened..So I am doing way better. When I was a kid, my (BF now SIL) used to get the gov't food and the cans of PB were my favorite!!!! LOL I glad you took care of you this weekend, how fun for new countertops. I need them, but (NOT YET!!) as my baby girl says... I have OLD 90's laminate butcher block...LOL

@theslightedgeforever (you are moms child if you like cooked cabbage...) UGH. Yes I can learn too and yes I need to move. You know that was really not my issue. I love to walk on my treadmill, but making time is the issue and I need to work on that. Glad you moved, but make sure not to over do...legs need to heal.

@trooworld Good job on starting your morning with water and then going to coffee. I always drink two glasses of water first thing in the morning before leaving the bathroom. Then of course I get my coffee!

@cbabie Congrats on the 2.4 lb. loss this week! that is great even with you eating more than you had planned to. Yeah, I can’t have Jiff peanut butter in the house or I will eat it all. If you can moderate then that is great! I’m hoping that someday I will be able to bring it back into my life. :)

Hello everyone! I went to see the contact specialist this morning and she gave me multi-focus to try out. The good news is that I see great far away, but now I can’t read anything up close. I tried to read my Bible study book and had to go take them out. She said I could wear readers but why would I want to do that. She also said that we can try other options, so I will call her on Monday. My cold is much better and I was able to do a decent workout. My weight is down so I’m hoping for a good weigh-in on Friday. :)

Hi all..crazy spring weather here. We have had 70's and then snow the last few mornings. It hasn't stayed past noon, tho, so that is good!

@TeresaW1020 I'm glad your cold is better & congrats for getting a good workout in. Hope you have a good weigh-in on Friday, too. Good luck with the contacts..I have tried different strengths in each eye, didn't work, I wonder if they got my dominant eye mixed up. Then I tried the multi-focal & they were so thin that I could not get them in my eye. Finally gave up & wear my glasses. Of course, this was when I was working, so might be able to tolerate them better now. Dd (44) is upset that she needs glasses now. Yup, that is around the age I started needing them, lol.

@Trooworld Glad you enjoyed your evening out. We finally ate in a restaurant when we were in OK. Felt strange. Great job with the morning water. I am like Teresa, I drink 16oz pretty much as soon as I get up.

@cbabie Great loss! Just keep trying. Glad you are able to control the stress some. I have been more eating peanut butter lately, but only a weighed tbsp at a time on toast.

I started the elimination diet last week & I am starving. One of my things to watch is garlic & OMG it is in everything!! Thought this would be a good time to try plant based, but it is so frustrating avoiding so much, that I decided I didn't need any more stress. Trying to read labels & can't believe all the ingredients that you would never expect in things! Finally today, I think I can say my cough might be a little less, so hopefully I can figure something out.

My SIL went back to work on Monday. Still gets pretty worn out, good thing he has a desk job. No one else seemed to get it either, which was good.

Afternoon all, I went for a walk yesterday with baby girl, stayed within my goals yesterday and tracked all. I am not sure how today goes, but it's not over yet. LOL

@trooworld Good for you for fixing your computer. I can't hear the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man with out seeing/hearing Ghost busters...LOL. I am sure if you drink enough today with your challenge you will see a difference.

@TeresaW1020 Yea I had the same issue with my contacts...I tried for over a year to just deal...but glasses it is. I hope you find the right mix. Yea on getting back to your workouts.

@RetiredAndLovingIt I can't measure PB...I hate the mess. So I Guessimate. Hence I really now only eat it when the craving just wont stop. That has become less frequent for me. I have cut several things out of my life, but always let them come back in...but I am trying to learn sometimes I can't do moderation...only remove. Glad SIL is back at work.
