Day 47: 23 minutes of body resistance, 10 minutes of HIIT, and 30 minutes of yoga for 63 minutes total.
Aliem: keep on going to get those arms! Put some photos up, too!0 -
Becs Day 47
Weigh in was not what I wanted.. but technically I was FINALLY below 132...which I have been at or hovering above for 3 weeks. (131.8). The scale and I are at odds right now but I think I have turned the corner. Next weigh in is Thursday. Really hoping to be at 131 or below.
Today is rest day... eating really well until the evening. Football party dinner.. which is french dip sammies with sweet potato fries. I am going to work on my portions. Then meeting some friends for drinks. Max will be 2.
Rinde - Fantastic job yesterday. Your motivation is amazing!!!
Aliem - Way to up the weighs!!! Yeah I always HATED my arms... never went sleeveless which is hard because it is hot as hell down here 3/4 of the year!2 -
50 minutes of dancing cardio done! So sweaty. Time to relax!1
-
Good job, Aliem!1
-
Walked to some beach stairs and did a 20 minute stair workout. I am dying! I will try to to get a second workout in later, but we will see! Feeling great today. Lost some water weight today and I fit into an old tank top. Though the workout pants are totally squeezing in the fat and this is my skinny mirror (you know that mirror that looks like you have lost 5 pounds!)
1 -
You look fabulous!1
-
Thanks Rinde! Now I am trying to get swimsuit ready. It is hard to see in that picture, but I still have about 15 more pounds to go, before I focus on toning!0
-
Aliem---- you look amazing! Way to go! And stairs sound like an amazing workout. Fantastic.
Becs day 48 -
Slept in late..... Drinks with the girls was much later than I thought. Last night was my one cheat night/meal this week. Back at at.
Worked from home this morning, healthy breakfast, ran errands, just finished 45 mins on elliptical at gym..... Now groceries and back home!
Bring on a productive and healthy week!0 -
Aliem: Definitely don't see 15 lbs!
Becs: good job on the elliptical!
Rest day for me. Did Day 23 of 30 Day Fitness Challenge and 10 minutes of yoga for 17 minutes total. Went out to the movies this afternoon with best friend and on way home stopped at Sonic for a cheeseburger. Tasted good but now I feel bloated. Over my calories for the day, too.0 -
Decided to do 30 minutes of circuits, focusing on my abs. Tomorrow, I am going to be sooooo sore!1
-
Day 49: think I have bad heartburn from onions on burger...I'm really paying for that indulgence. Finished my workout for today: 30 minutes cardio, 15 minutes 30 Day Fitness Challenge, and 15 minutes yoga for 60 total. Almost forgot...weighed myself and I'm at 151.8 for 25.2 total with 16.8 to go. Can't believe I've lost that much weight and also that i had that much weight to lose!0
-
It's okay Rinde! I did 30 minutes of circuits, focusing on the core. My legs hurt sooooo much! Had to cut out squats and lunges from my circuits today. Will do something later this evening too. Food should be good, until Friday. Leaving for Seattle Thursday night! Hopefully I can stay reasonable and be active! I am up a little from last week. It is probably just water because of my tough workout yesterday, but hopefully it will come off soon. My waist is down from Thursday though, so that is encouraging! I hate the plateaus!
Great job Rinde! You are awesome and inspiring! I am sure the heartburn will pass. You have to treat yourself once in a while!0 -
Sometimes I have a real tenacious personality and just can't let go of things. I've been determined to run again since I first started exercising in July and refuse to cave no matter the obstacles. I started on an easy couch plan but my knees started to hurt right away and then I had the toe problem. Today, however, I realized I could jog inside so I downoaded a couch to 5 k app and ran in my living room and kitchen....in bare feet for 29 minutes. Crazy! But I did it! And no pain whatsoever!
Aliem: Is this the birthday trip? Yahoo on the waist and hope the legs feel better!0 -
Great job Rinde! I do that to get my steps in too, but I usually walk! Way to get it in! And yes, it is my bday trip! I am pretty excited!0
-
Thanks Rinde! Not until Thurday night though. Did 30 minutes of fitness blender videos. They were great. It was great for when I didn't want to think and could target (or in this case avoid my legs) certain areas. Will probably use them every once in a while!0
-
FitnessBlender is great!
Just finished my workout for the day. Started with 25 minutes of body resistance; took a short break; and then did 35 minutes of yoga. Had some lunch and decided to do my 10 minute HIIT for a little cardio. 70 minutes total.
I have plans to go get a new pair of running shoes either Fri or Sat. Hopefully they will do the trick and I won't have anymore knee pain. In the meantime I'm going to try running barefoot outside tomorrow on a soft path. If that doesn't work out, I'll be back to my jog/walk inside the house for Wed and Fri. I'm gonna make this happen!
And food still on track.1 -
Becs day 49 & 50
Sorry guys.. had some technically difficulties this week. Ha Yesterday ate well body pump. Today ate well and going to gym after I close up for 45 mins of elliptical.
So I played with the double workouts last week and couldn't make them work. I am working so many hours right now. 8 at the store and day and about 4-5 at home and I just cant make a morning workout I think without full burn out. SO the daily workout I get I am going to try to make it really count. Focus on doing ever rep to the best of my ability. The next 3 months of my life are insane with my store. I have to remain focused on that and make sure I also get the workouts in. I need to get the internet people at my house to fix mine and if I can do that.. I am going to get LES MILLS classes "on demand"... perhaps then I can pop in a few extra body combat and body flow in at home if possible.
ALIEM - You have been crushing your workouts. Seattle.. that sounds like so much fun. It is on my list of places to visit in the USA. Never been west of Texas. With work I don't do a lot of traveling. BTW after check out the picture again.. I agree with Rinde... I cant imagine you have 15 more lbs to go. You look fantastic.
RINDE - Your long workouts are so inspiring. I am really going to try to focus and try to atleast get a little more in! HOORAY for no more knee pain. I use BROOKS GHOST running shoes. I got them when I was training for my half marathon. They are my favorites. ANd congrats on the food.. That is most of my issues.1 -
Did my 30 minutes of circuits today. I think I am going to pass on a second workout even though my first one was short and in all honesty, did not give 100%. My legs hurt soooo much. I walked to my bank today and felt like I had painful jello legs. I think I just need a rest day. Plus I need to make a b-day card for my BF's niece. The rubber stamp literally just arrived and it's always fun to play with glitter. It also reminds me that holiday card making is just around the corner, need to figure out what I am doing this year! Food has been good. Still at a plateau. You guys will probably see me up a little at this week's weigh in and definitely up next week!
Rinde - Sounds great! You are doing a great job. We have this chain of stores called Road Runner. They custom fit you for shoes and insoles. Its pretty expensive to buy straight from them. But once you find a style that you like, I just buy them online for cheaper and swap out the insoles with the custom ones, since those last for a few pairs of shoes. I really like them. Especially since my foot is a little wide, have pretty high arches and don't walk properly. I have some Nike's that I love!
Becs - Way to kill it! No worries that the dual workouts were not working. Sounds like you are doing fine without. And thank you for the compliments. Once again, it's my skinny mirror and I am pretty lucky on how my fat falls on my stomach in a nice even layer and on my thighs and arms! I want to be that flat in real life/normal mirrors! I really love Seattle minus the whole rain and cold thing....0 -
Wonderful and detailed posts, ladies! Really enjoyed reading them tonight.0
-
Card is done! So much more fun than a work out. Still so sore! But this was relaxing. It's a little messy, but it's for a five year old so I'm not going to restamp
2 -
That's adorable! I make cards, too!0
-
Day 51: I think I'm finished my workout for the day...still considering another cardio for tonight though. I did Day 2 of the Couch to 5k again in my living room/ kitchen, but it felt pretty easy and not very taxing. So I may do a 2nd cardio to rev up my heart a tad more. I'll see how I feel tonight. After C25k I did 11 minutes of 30 Day Fitness Challenge followed by 20 minutes of yoga for 60 total. With all this movement and good food intake, I'm looking forward to being in the 140s shortly. Can't wait!
Aliem: Way to keep on schedule with your circuits. Hope those legs are feeling better today. Only a day to go before Seattle! You're gonna have such a great time! What day is your birthday? I love playing with paper like you do. In addition to cards, I make paper paintings. Instead of paint, I manipulate paper to create my picture. And thanks for the shoe advice. The closest running store to me does gait analysis and inserts so I'll let you know how it goes.
Becs: Yay for getting off that plateau! Down to 131 is fantastic. Only 2 lbs to go to the 120s. Seems like with all the hours you're putting into your shop that double workouts are an unnecessary stress for you heading into the holiday season. Videos at home sound like a great idea. Anyway, you know what they say, weight loss is 80% in the kitchen and only 20 from the gym. Tell me more about your store. Details, please!0 -
So I changed my mind. Today is my rest day! I was just not motivated to work out this morning. I still walked a few miles, but I think I need a day off from strength training. My legs are a lot better, but still a bit sore. Food is good. Maybe if I can muster it, I will work out tonight. I will for sure work out tomorrow morning. Very excited for the trip. Hopefully chasing around a five year old (or a fleet of them on Birthday party day) will be workout enough!
Rinde - My bday is on Monday. I get back from Seattle that day. I love scrapbooking and card making. I have just started getting into stamps. I love other crafts too, but I live in an apartment, so I don't really have room for too much craft stuff. I can fit paper into a few tubs and get it out of the way. I will have to try paper painting. I looked it up and it looks very cool. Plus, I really love baking (and cooking). So I have tons of tools for that already. I have a tradition each year where my brother and sister come over and we bake hundreds of Christmas cookies (and I cook something super unhealthy for dinner like pizza and mac and cheese, or a meal made of appetizers!) It has become my sister's favorite tradition. I have also been known to make some really great cakes and cupcakes. It is funny, because I really don't have a sweet tooth. Hopefully you find some great shoes!
Becs - Congrats on hitting 131. Hopefully I will not be far behind! Also, I second Rinde! More details about your store, since we are on the topic of crafting and you seem to do that for a living! Great job!0 -
ALiem - Rest days are a good thing. Looking forward to mine tomorrow! So glad your legs are feeling better. Have an absolutely blast on your trip and the birthday. yes.... running after 5 years olds definitely burns calories!!!
Rinde - You are killing it with workouts before I have even have had my first caffeine of the morning. I am in awe of you. Here;s to the 140's.
Becs day 51
YES YES YES.. finally lost something after 3 weeks of a plateau. I know that my body has been changing and I am thrilled with it but I also love to see those lbs come off. Because of that big plateau I am not sure I am going to reach my full goal for this challenge. But getting myself even more toned and back deep in my 120's (atleast 127) is my new goal. I will feel like I am on the right track!0 -
Day 52: First off, not even a consideration to do a 2nd cardio last night. Felt really tired and went to bed at 9. Woke up feeling sluggish and took me a bit to get in gear. Finally did my hour: 25 minutes of body resistance, 15 minutes of Zumba, and 20 minutes of yoga.
Don't think I told you both that I am a full-time caregiver to my mom who is on hospice. I was working as a hospice Social Worker before all this happened in April. I mention it to explain why my schedule is flexible on the one hand so I can get in an hour of exercise per day and on the other hand why I do all my workouts in my house. Also why I can't just run out to get a pair of running shoes; I have to arrange a sitter to do so. That being said, I'm really excited(it doesn't take much these days) because my best friend and I are going Sat to neighboring town to buy the shoes, do some other shopping, and go out to eat. Yippee!
Aliem: Did you leave yet for Seattle?
Becs: Congrats again on your loss and your soon to be 127!0 -
I do not know what it wrong with me. Got 10 minutes into my circuits and just couldn't do it anymore. I'm not exhausted or anything. I just was not feeling it again today. Hopefully I'll be motivated when I get back. Good news though! I'm at 133.8 this morning, that's down 1.6 pounds from last week. Hopefully I don't gain too much weight over the next few days. I know it will be skewed because I'll be entering my heaviest week/week and a half of the month when I get back so hopefully it will come off quickly, but it's more likely it will take a few weeks, which will be frustrating. Trying to concentrate on the progress. Measurements were great too!
Rinde - great job! I am so sorry about your mother. My grandfather is 95 and is getting really close to needing a full time nurse. Alzheimer's and just general loss of functions is so sad to watch. It must be very hard on you and your family. Glad you are getting out of the house this weekend!
Becs- Greats work on your progress! You are definitely well on your way to 127! I am probably not going to hit my goal too. 10 pounds in a littler over a month is a stretch, especially because those last 7 or so will be really hard! I'll have to check out your store! I'm on my phone, so I will have to do it another time. However, it seems really cool!0 -
Becs day 52
Will post longer tomorrow. Worked all day, then dinner at the folks.... But I think I might be coming down with a cold. I'm exhausted and have a scratchy throat. To bed I go.... Hopefully some solid sleep will help.
So much I was to respond to yalls post. Promise I will in the morning.0 -
Day 53: another hour this morning. Did Day 3 of C25k for 29 minutes, 9 minutes of 30 Day Fitness Challenge, and 22 minutes of yoga. Had a weigh-in for my 55+ group. 151.2 lbs for 1.4 lb loss since last Friday. Food on track.
I really hope I can find a pair of shoes tomorrow and can run without knee pain. No problems inside on wood floors, so I'm thinking I just need good shoes and to run on a forgiving surface. If I can make it happen, I want to run a 5k again. Haven't run one in 25 years! My personal best in my 30s was 20 minutes. Not that I can repeat that time, but it sure would be great to run races once more! Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
Aliem: congrats again on your weight loss and good measurements. Sorry to hear the workout fell flat. Maybe time off this weekend will be just what the doctor ordered. Hope you're having a blast!
Becs: Hope you were just wornout and exhausted rather than getting sick. Looking forward to hearing from you today. Only a week to go till the end of phase 2....Hope we both have good news to report. And about your store??0 -
Ok I'm Back....
Becs day 53
Yesterday was my official rest day for the week but I think I am going to take two rest days this week. I am just not feeling 100%. But back at it tomorrow am and Sunday am with bodycombat classes. Eating pretty well except for family dinner last night which was porkchop & rice casserole with a side of fried porkchops!
RINDE - WOW.. full time care giver is a very serious and taxing job. I commend you. I am also so proud of you for working so hard to take care of you too. I find a lot of people in your situation stop taking care of themselves because of all the stuff on their plate. YOU ARE A ROCK STAR.
ALIEM - YOU ARE KILLIN IT. Can't wait to hear all about your Seattle trip and the party and NO DOUBT you are gonna keep losing. You are on a roll.
