Just made/set up a new workout on my Garmin to try this week. calling it the Tempo Pyramid
    5 min z1
    10 min z2
    30 min z4 (threshold)
    10min z2
    5 min z1

Going to try it on my circuit around town and not worry about my distance, since I'll be going SLOW in those zi portions. This will be Tuesday, so I'll have something to report then.

@BeeerRunner - great that you were cleared to run. I am still catching up but hopefully it went well!
@Stoshew71 - awesome HM! Great pictures as well!

I ran Saturday but had no time to post, had to rush home right afterwards. Took students to a programming competition and it was all day. When they were competing I could have gone inside and graded and/or posted but I just needed a break. There was a Veteran's Day parade right outside the University (Stetson) and it was so relaxing just watching it. Lots of very old veterans, all the way up to young ones. There was also such an adorable group of dogs that are trained for veterans. They were so proud walking in the parade!

    Biking today - beautiful morning.

    11/1 - 4.3 miles
    11/2 - strength training
    11/3 - rest day
    11/4 - 4.5 miles + strength training
    11/5 - 34 miles biking
    11/6 - 9 miles
    11/7 - 3 miles
    11/8 - 4.1 miles
    11/9 - rest/mourning day
    11/10 - 5 miles
    11/11 - 4.1 miles
    11/12 - 4.1 miles
    11/13 - 51 miles biking

    Upcoming races
    11/30/16 - I/ITSEC 5K
    2/5/17 - Daytona Beach HM
2/26/17 - Disney Princess HM Orlando

    11/1: 3 miles
    11/2: rest
    11/3: 4 miles
    11/4: 3 miles
    11/5: 7 miles
    11/6: 5 miles
    11/7: 3.6 miles
    11/8: 4.4 miles
    11/9: rest
    11/10: 4 miles
    11/11: 5 miles
    11/12: 9 miles
    11/13: 4 miles

    TOTAL: 52/70

Easy 4 mile recovery run in 40:28 (10:07 pace) on the hilly neighborhood route. I'm starting to think that I set my November goal of 70 miles way too low seeing as I'm 74% to goal and we're not even halfway through the month yet. Oh well, I really wasn't sure what to set it at since it's my first monthly challenge and I wasn't sure what my weekly mileage was going to look like. I'm not sure if I'll hit 100 miles, but it would be nice.

@Orphia Wow, way to go running a HM in the rain!
@Stoshew71 Great race report. I wish I could eat pop tarts and a doughnut as my pre-race fuel lol! For the most part, I know what my stomach can handle pre-long run/race and sadly, I don't think it would be very happy with me haha ;)
    @davepete57 Congrats on a PR!

Finally a chance to look in here, after a really busy week.
A friend was in town for a conference, and since he had trouble finding a hotel at the last minute, I offered him to sleep on my couch. We hadn't met in person for almost a year, so we spent the evenings talking until late at night. Which was nice, but by the end of the week, we were both really sleep deprived... I still managed to sneak out for a few short runs (if you can call "back in an hour, here's the wifi password, have fun!" sneaking  ).

Other times I might have felt like those runs were too short. Not right now - the weather was horrible all week. Snow in the morning, and during the day the temperatures rose just enough (like ~2°C/35F) that it turned into freezing rain. And A LOT of rain!
Today it finally warmed up to 8C/45F, with just a faint drizzel during the first half of my run. The recovery plan I'm following only called for a "45-75 min run", but I was so excited about the improved weather, I went a little further.

    08.11.2016 6.0 km
    09.11.2016 6.4 km
    10.11.2016 4.8 km
    12.11.2016 7.0 km
    13.11.2016 14.0 km

So, I had a new frustration today, as my watch battery died en route :rage: Fortunately, I was on the way home by then and ran the same way home as I went, so it was easy to work out how far I had been. More annoyingly, by my calculations, I have only done 25 miles since the last charge, and although that's over 8 days and it is on to a certain degree the rest of the time, I have a horrible thought that it might not make it through my marathon next year, as I could be looking at a 4:30-5:00 time for that.
    [...]
Does anyone else have a tomtom watch, or are you all Garmin?
@louubelle16 Very late reply, but in case you are still worried: I have a Tomtom watch as well. This summer, I had the same concerns when it died after ~3:45, even after being fully charged before the run. I mailed the support, and they suggested switching to "airplane mode" (apparently, otherwise it occasionally checks for connected phones or sensors, even though I never paired it with a phone at any point). I did that, and haven't had a problem since. With airplane mode, the battery lasted for 4:39 + a bit :)

    (I am ticker impaired!)

7 miles on my favorite close-to-home trail in the late morning. Beautiful blue sky day, a little breezy, 50F or so. Good times. Got to get out and make the most of this extended autumn weather.

    11/11: 4.4 miles
    11/12: 10 miles
    11/13: 5.5 miles

Spent the morning doing run-related things but not running. A friend and I volunteered at a local Girls on the Run/Let Me Run 5k event and manned the one and only water table. And we only had one working spigot for the 5-gallon water jugs, so it was very stressful when we ran out of pre-filled cups. But I don't think the kids minded having to stop and wait in line for water (at least not a single one complained!) :D

After the race volunteering was over, same friend and I went to a local orchard to order Thanksgiving pies and have cider & cider donuts, so I pushed my run to about 2 pm to let the donut digest. Great run; a bit too fast which seems to be a consistent problem during afternoon taper runs. My legs are fresh and my body is all fueled up from the day, so even though I feel like I'm slogging, I'm going at or just below marathon pace. Oh boy.

Rest day here. Signed up for a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving. This will be my only race between now and possibly my Marathon. I'm Hoping that with it being a cutback week then, and the time I've put into really working on my running, I can PR, though, since I haven't done much speedwork since September, we'll have to see if my legs remember how to go fast!

5.4 miles today. Was aiming for around a five miler to get me back on track but as I haven't run much lately it was probably three miles further than it should've been!!

A bit of a grumble in the glute/hamstring i noticed in my walk warm up. Right leg this time. I get the feeling my new series of injuries after my shin splints event in Barcelona is going to keep popping up and work it's way up my body on either side. I am never dancing on a marble floor again.

Took it very slow, i mean seriously slow, but still not slow enough for zone 2. A great morning for it, with lots of people out running. Had to race the last distance back home as needed to get back, jump in the shower and head to a dance(shag) workshop. Didn't have time for lunch but had wisely already pulled out of the second session of the workshop, so spent the rest of the day lounging on the sofa, with a quick bit of housework.

Pleased to be back on track with the running, less pleased with this new injury thing. Am going to find my self somewhere for a sports massage and make that a regular thing I think.

My last 2 posts have been held for review - No answer from MFP as to why they were held. I suspect I have a date or run data that match's up to some spam bot address or the link to the Bling Report came up funky?????
So change my date format and here goes nothing.

I did post some congrats for PB's, race results and general Good Stuff friends. Will just Tip my hat to everyone.

November Running 140km Goal 160km Stretch
    Nov 01 –00.0 km – 0.0 – 140.0 km – YTD 1071.0 km
    N0v 02–9.5 km – 9.5 – 130.5 km – YTD 1080.5 km
    Nov 05–26.0 km –35.5 – 104.5 km – YTD 1105.5 km
    Nov 12–12.0 km –47.5 – 92.5 km – YTD 1117.5 km
    Nov 13- 5.0 km - 52.5 - 87.5 km - YTD 1122.5 km

November 5: 7 Peaks & 7 Pubs Challenge Run as posted in Weekend Bling Report. I completed 4 of 7 hills, approximately 26km, 3:06:16.

November 12: 12km through the rolling hills North of town along the top edge of the riverbank. North facing slopes were frozen, South slopes were dry, the top of the hills were muddy slogs :( about 1 km out from the end my legs said that's enough Tough Mudding and I had to walk it in. :/ Still a great day as it was just above freezing and we usually are snowed out of the trails by this time of year. One of my running club friends has a picture from 4 years ago Cross Country skiing in Knee Deep snow.

November 13: 5 km A slow slog - definitely should have declared it a rest day after yesterdays Tough Mudder.

So it works with no Ticker and no Monthly run data. Added the Ticker back

It works with the Ticker, added back the Weekend Bling Report link.

It must be something in my monthly Run Data that looks funky to the auto filters :(

@juliet3455 Did the blocked posts have the number "One Hundred Nineteen" in it? That's the one I remember causing trouble in the past.
In any case, sounds like you had some awesome challenging runs in the past couple days!
