    So sorry :(

    Sad times :(

After you told me I did a little bit of research and this is what I've read:

    1. Be honest about what's happening and that this is what's best for your dog.
    2. Explain the concept of dog years and how dogs don't live as long as people, so your dog being put down is a normal process.
    3. Don't be afraid to show that you're upset too.
    4. Give them lots of hugs and comfort.
    5. And this is my own advice which I said before: explain that your dog knows how much she loves him and that she helped give him the best life possible.

Thanks Meg, going to have to come up with something enjoyable for her to do on Sunday to distract her I think!

There is nothing I could add to make you feel better about the inevitable task of informing your daughter and you all losing a member of your family to "Doggy Heaven."

I was 9 when my dog died protecting our family home from thieves, and I remember crying for weeks. She was my baby. The one I told my inner most thoughts to. My first real BFF. I agree with Deadlifts ... Bite the bullet and tell her the truth in the gentlest possible way.

this is random but please stay in the room with the pup when they do it (if she cant it’s understandable but like someone the pup knows should be there with him). a vet told me that when u leave and it happens they can panic and look for you to comfort them but you are gone, and it was so sad that it stuck with me. :(

sorry for your loss too <3

    I'm going to remember this .. :'(

    @MANBEHINDTHEMASK

    So sorry ..

    I'm so sorry.
One thing I can say is if you are trying to explain this to a young child never say the animal is "going to sleep" or being "put to sleep". Apparently it can cause anxiety for some children, the thought of "sleep" associated with death.

The thought of not ever be able to talk or hear someone you grew up with all your life, because of the life and death circle. Stay Strong!

Thinking this tendonitis isn't going to heal and being ticked that the specialists didn't take the issue with my other ankle seriously despite it being the size of a baseball to a softball every day.

I was in a good mood for about 15 seconds and thought I might take advantage of it.

Those 15 seconds are now gone.

    I loved ever single second
