Guys I had some water and a snack and I can see this text is not a good idea. Like there's a part of my brain that's saying "Georgina quit being ridiculous" and it sounds kinda authorative so I think I should listen to it 🤷‍♀️

Ahh.. damn perspective .. takes the fun out of everything

I'm thinking that I've had too much wine and I should definitely not text that person but I kinda want to but also I kinda don't want to. Can someone please take my phone off me?

you're gonna do it anyhow might as well go all in. make sure you apologize tomorrow though.

Yeah I woulda 100% just texted it

I have, what's it called, tho?

Diarrhea of the mind? Something like that.

    What a thing to say.

it's easy for us guys though. all we gotta do is send a strategically timed "hey" or like a waving emoji or a meme or a song with the ol reliable "hey this reminded me of u" and then not respond for a few days

Why do guys do this, really?

I tend to ignore most texts because of crap like this unless it's work/volunteer related.

I know you didn't ask me but IMO guys get away with it because some girls (read some, not all) are so desperate for attention they allow it to happen and convince themselves it's normal.

Nah, anyone can answer that actually knows. This is something about texting "etiquette" that both fascinates and vexes me. I'm not texting you to pass time. I'm texting because I want to talk to you and care enough to frustrate myself with tiny phone keyboard that makes me want to throw my phone across the room.

Relationships with people are weird, man. Beginning to see why I have no friends IRL.

I'm convinced there's this giant book of unwritten rules about maintaining human relationships that I just was never privy to at a younger age and now am just flailing around nearing middle-ish age not knowing what the *kitten* I am doing.

Books and cats. Those are two things that can always be your friend and never let you down.

Not to be nosy (but also, very nosy) is this the same person whose family contacted you when he was in the hospital? You don't have to share if you don't want to.

Oh, no. Nothing to do with that. He is fine and recovered!

  • Does anyone else have like a set of “go-to” happy memories in their catalogue of thoughts to elicit a smile without it appearing synthetic?

I hate fake stuff so I smile if it’s deserving. People wear mask too much it’s part of the world I am totally detached from.

People hide in fear of honest criticism as they don’t want it in return.

I know what you mean. People get so offended when I give them honest criticisms such as "your wife is ugly" or "you look like a walrus, lose some weight already" and stuff like that. I just don't get it.

  • I think I need to have a PSA every where I go as people think being hard on yourself is like some bad thing. Like if your not living up to your standards like warm coddling aint doing ish to get you there. Like missing a workout unless some fine redhead boy is trying to date me or somehow I can get to do a Tedtalk I will be at the gym. Like being sorry isn't something to be ok with. I push beyond what I think and I may say Im frustrated or depressed but these have been a way of life for a long time so I have worked with them. I always hear sit with winners as the convo is much different. Now to locate those winner.

its weird how most people got a problem with giving their phone password to their partner but they dont care that federal agents can take their phone and demand their password to search it without a warrant

Up until now, most people probably didn't know that.

Also, don't go cuffin with the feds.
