    The Sack Fumble... 🤔

Is it a sack, or a fumble... Because by definition, it can not be both...

If it's a sack, there is no fumble because you are already down...

If it's a fumble, then it can't be a sack because you were never down

A sack is a tackle of the QB behind the line of scrimmage, a sack fumble is a tackle of the QB behind the line of scrimmage in which the QB loses possession of the ball. The term sack is used to indicate its involving a QB, and its behind the line of scrimmage. So it can be used alone or as a preface to another action. Now you dont have to think of that anymore......lol

    But here's where I'm perplexed...

Is a sack awarded to the defender in the case of a sack fumble...

I guess not because it's a "sack fumble" and not a "sack"

You are correct. With a sack fumble, the
word sack is just an adjective describing what type of fumble......behind the line of scrimmage by a QB

Hello there @sniper300_Rum. Great to see you back on the boards. Cold in your neck of the woods? Lol. Am guessing that's the reason behind your expression? Father Winter keeps everything frosty. Stay warm!

That's like reaching a phantasmagorical plateau, whilst being in a lucid state. Deep.
