Well that's a pretty varied geography. I didn't see a hill until I was almost 20 and still have yet to see an ocean. Should probably just bite the bullet and take a vacation out in the Maritimes.2 -

That's homemade high-gluten bread staled three days then soaked overnight in a custard base with vanilla rum in it, and cut an inch and a half thick. It has to be cooked very slowly but the interior is like bread pudding, with the exterior crunchy. And I put orange peel and cardamom in with the apples.1 -

My dad and stepmom are visiting (yay!), but dad pulled me aside to give me more info on my stepmom's cancer. Apparently, it's a quite malignant, aggressive cancer and the survivability rate even if they remove it all, is like.. 5 years before it comes back again. Of course, he Googled the damn thing and read all the BAD stuff about it, so he's scared out of his mind and really, really anxious.
Meanwhile, my stepmother is aware of this (maybe not all the ins and outs because she chose not to know) and is okay knowing she may have to fight this crap for the rest of her life. I admire her attitude, but of course.. I worry. And now I worry more because after next year, I'll be on another continent.
This year just sucks.6 -

It's not THAT bad. It gets that bad if you eat it every day instead of once in a while and insist on eating a full plate of bacon and eggs with it.
