It was awesome. 🤘
I bet that was a great show - do you like that venue?
I do!
The Criterion is a nice venue 😀
I’m excited to go in Dec ! Glad you had a good time1 -

Sorry for the unhappy thoughts, just needed to get that out.
Now I sleep...
Not everyday is rainbows and butterflies yo - feel your feels - gotta get that chit out sometimes - sleep well my friend1 -
Could one use “underlying” and “overarching” interchangeably?0

The visuals in the metaphors are different but I can’t think of a circumstance in which you couldn’t use either
I guess I think of underlying as being more of a cause and overarching being more of a theme but still…
Eta: this is why my boss needs to let me proof everything preferably before he sends it out1 -

I agree -- I think underlying is something that's simmering beneath the surface and maybe isn't a big deal - like maybe a small problem within a relationship that's there but not important enough to pay attention to ---- but an overarching problem would be one that encompasses that relationship, like what's his face from Try Guys with his infidelity problem 😋
Eta: Underlying gives me the image of a foundational premise or something that is built upon and therefore very important
Sorry, I’m not familiar with the example you cited though1 -

I googled and it says it's the basis for something else, so you're right, it could be a cause to a larger problem, but I think the term underlying doesn't necessarily mean that it's a big problem
Ok so underlying = cause
Do you think overarching means the entire effect observed after completion? That’s my impression

Underlying is implicit. Overarching is explicit. This was a fun discussion though!0

It’s OK I’m picturing you in a tweed jacket with leather elbow patches now so that more than makes up for it. Especially when you’re holding the ruler.0 -

Mostly contemplating how to participate in "Inktober" this year. There are a lot of different prompts from all sorts of different artists and I haven't decided which I want to utilize.5

Passed my exam yesterday. Not a great mark but it'll do and lesson learned to maybe take time to actually read the material not just skim through it cause you've set a tight deadline for getting it done cause of a move 🤣2

It would be pretty sweet if there was a thread dedicated to it tho2 -

i might try this, but it’s hard bc i’m not on social media enough to have any accountability to the masses. if u find good one let me know 💛0 -
I don’t have spooky dreams any more
From childhood until just a few years ago I had terrible nightmares
Id dream I could only save one of my parents from hell
Id dream I was being stalked by demons
Id dream that everyone had been raptured and I was all alone in the world.
It’s so good to be free of that. Now, as long as I’m careful about caffeine, my sleep is restful

I don't either. I have Instagram and other social media, but don't really have a following. I do it for me, so I can improve. I haven't done any large scale projects in a really long time, mostly because I haven't had an art desk to do them out and I'm too old/creaky to sit on the floor anymore and do it like I did in college, lol.1 -
