48 almost 49 and signed up for my first olympic lifting class at a crossfit box .... am I nuts ??

You should try it. I like lifting weights, but my old shoulders don't like those cleans and overhead presses that are a big part of crossfit workouts. Not for me.

morning all - I keep thinking it is Wednesday, which I guess it is for me since I am taking Friday off of work. Morning boot camp class done, kiddo returns from being away two weeks and boss is gone for a couple of days - should be a good day!

43 here, been on mfp a few years but never used it. Started today kinda Keto based. I also train....infact deadlift 110k but I’m planning on moving over to the dark side :) and upping my cardio. I’m getting fatter by the year so need to get my running shoes on (so my son keeps telling me, he’s in that industry)

Please add me....I’m kinda lonely down here :)

Hi i'm 59 years of age and back in Dec 2017 weighed in at in excess of 17 stone. I have since made a number of life changes by retiring early, downsizing and moving house. With that came a realisation I needed to start to look after myself. I engaged in a slimfast diet for an eight week period and lost 2.5 stone. I am now back on standard food and trying to maintain 14stone 8oz. I have also started on 10 week gym sessions. I am desperate to maintain my weight as I can see and feel the benefit. Any advice would be really helpful.
