Tell me about it! I've got a Blackberry running OS 10 which MFP didn't bother to make an app for, and the new BB smartphones run on ... Android. Doh!1 -

I started in 2010 at around 220 lbs (5' 10", 48.5 years old). I wanted to lose SOME weight before I turned the Big 5-0. I had very low expectations, I thought even 40 pounds would be a major success. Well, MFP was such an incredible tool that I ended up losing 70+ pounds over the course of a year. I've been maintaining since about 2011. What a ride!
The upper right image was taken on a 10-day rafting/hiking trip down Grand Canyon a year ago; there's no way I could've accomplished the hikes and seen the sights I did had I not lost the weight. Gosh, actually, that lower middle photo is a different hike down Grand Canyon (Havasu Falls)--another feat I would not have accomplished without this weightloss!33 -

November 2015, 220ish lbs, about 1 month into weightloss.
And this is from this morning, crushing my 5k PR yet again: 157lbs
Still slowly crawling along with the weightloss at a rate of 1-2lbs a month with a 5lb regain last month when I went on a cruise and ate and drank All The Things. I regret nothing.75 -
My high was 328 and this is pretty close to that.
This is today at 188.

Amazing!
What weightlifting program did you use if any?
Thank you!!
I started with BODY FOR LIFE and have used that program adding more weight over the years. I did this program even if it meant using machines instead of free weight. Body FOR LIFE is a progressive overload program designed to change your body.
I don't use this program any longer the volume is too much for my joints as I was diagnosed with arthritis this year. I'm not letting that stop me. My sports med doc has come up with a plan for me and it is effective at the stage. Hit everything with 3 sets of 10-15 moderate weight using tempo and time under tension. Its working.
I've been using BFL off and on for years. I don't do his meal plan stuff, but the lifting is easy for me to follow and has always worked really well for me as I've lost weight. Your the first person I've heard of using it since I joined MFP. It's nice to find another BFL'er!1 -

@ConleighS
Can you get the Photobucket app on your android?
If so, upload you're photos on that and then click on the image you want, then click on the 'i' symbol and it will come up with 4 codes
You want the one that starts with [ IMG

@Chadxx Thats one of the most inspiring transformations I have seen man keep it up. I hope to be built the way you are some day. I know it takes a lot of work.4

Thank you! It does take work but it is completely doable. All you have to do is you stick with it and you will get there before you know it. Just eat right and lift heavy. I still have a ways to go myself but progress is steadily being made.1 -
Long journey. I've been on the yo-yo train since after high school with TOPS down 70 then gained that back plus more, then on phen-phen and down 70 then taken off and gained it back plus more. Tried WW and Nutrisytem...lost on both then regained most. My HW around 2008 was 325 (that I know off). I started working on me again then my mom got sick and it was all about her. After she died at the end of '09 I regrouped and started again, I was on a roll then I got sick and now have chronic pancreatitis and T2 diabetes. Meds have helped and my CW is 233 (lowest since 1986 I think!). 8 more and I hit the BIG 100!!!!
