    1. Carbs 50-75g (limit 25g/meal)
    (B0, L7, D6, AS7, BBS114 = 134g)
    2. Fiber 30g (4g)
    ✔3. Track/complete entry daily
    4. Vegetables - big salad daily
    5. Exercise - log 30 Fitbit minutes (47m)
    6. No eating after 9pm.
    7. In bed by 12am
    8. Zone work - 15 minutes daily
    Lost my streak.

    • Food. DH grilled chicken and sausage and yellow squash and zucchini. Had it for lunch and supper. So very few carbs (besides the binge) and very little fiber. I slept in so late -I didn't attempt to hit my fiber and exercise goals.

    • Sleep. Bad night again. I tried prepping myself for sleep. Working out a new "bed time" routine. No evening caffeine. I took an antihistamine at 9:30pm - definitely felt a downshift. 10:30pm had my bath. Had a cup of warm Decaf Lemon Ginger tea with juice of 1/2 lemon. (Yummy!) 11:30pm - Got into my cool bed, bedside lamp on - and began reading a new book "The Chemist". Struggled with focusing on the story. Mind drifting to other things. Felt myself relax and get sleepy. Turned off my light. Legs became restless. I twitched and twitched until I couldn't stay still. Got out of bed - agitated... headed to kitchen and had a little binge. (Why? Somehow thought it would make me sleep.) Then - tried to go back to sleep. More twitching. Got back up and took a 2nd warm bath - watched a show on my iPad. Finally fell asleep sometime this morning with no CPAP. Woke at 10am. Cancelled my hair appt and went back to bed with my CPAP and a show on Kindle - Forensic Files. I've watched most of those before and the narrator's tone is relaxing to hear. Slept until 4:30pm. Thankfully DH is my partner. He picks up my slack in caring for my DM90.

I think the antihistamine (Phenergan - prescribed for oral surgery to help with nausea) triggered the restless legs. I remember feeling that connection once before. Lesson learned. I hope.

I believe creating a bedtime routine - to signal sleep - is the right thing to do.
    Bedtime: 12 midnight
    • 6pm Cut-off caffeine
    • 10:30 Switch off electronics
    • Dim lighting
    • Cool temp - lower thermostat
    • Warm (not hot) bath
    • Deep breathing exercise
    • Read book - paper
    • Cup of warm Sleepytime tea with my book on the sofa then ease into bed to read a little longer until sleepy.

Another thought. I might have a hormonal issue. Feeling hot at night. Long into menopause - but I know changes happen. I'll talk with my doc at my next appointment.

I'll keep working at it. Determined to stay on track.
    Onward.

My DH and I had a good day at the De Soto Rock Shop today. I like talking to Heidi who works there. They have some awesome quartz crystals and huge amethyst geodes for sale as well as many gem and mineral specimens. I didn't buy anything; I think I have a lot of crystals and minerals, so it's going to have to be a special piece.

We walked across the street to the Mountain Valley Water Co. too. I bought some local sparkling spring water with lime. Really good! I got a good walk in and it as neat to see all the tourists along Bath House Row downtown Hot Springs which is the only city in the US that is a National Park.

Then we ate! I bump up my calories to 1750 on Friday so I can go eat out and not feel so restricted. The rest of the week is 1400 calories.

Janet I pray that you sister improves day by day and I'm glad to hear she's out if ICU!

I'm going to catch up with y'all!!
    Good evening,

DJ - yes, I have resistance bands. Actually, I was planning to take those. I have a few DVD's that use resistance bands. But now it doesn't look like I'm going to be going to my cousin's. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience at BG. Have you ever gone there before? There were times when we went to lunch with Newcomers and the restaurant just couldn't handle large parties. Oh, they say they can, but the reality is that they can't. I remember one place that by the time the last people were served, the first people were finished and leaving.

Regarding hunger: I've found that if I have just a little bit of full fat cheese or for that matter anything that is full fat, I tend to stay full longer

PIp, that was some major weed whacking. And you didn't tell us how you two did!

Becca, I do use my credit card for almost every purchase that. Make. Charlie still likes cash on him. I think it's a man thing since he carries a lot of cash. When he is going out to Karaoke, he leaves it all on the dresser. I don't like going in there and seeing several hundreds of dollars sitting there. I have not has any temptation to use my card on the game but I still have plenty of games left from the previous purchase. I have she and that way I play the game thoug. It gives you the ability to play 5 games every hour. Now you still have to pay for them out of your present coin stash. But you don't have to wait the hour. You can pay extra at any point. From one hour down to 30 minutes, it is anywhere from 1200 coins to 3000. But at the 30 minute mark it is 1000. I have done that many, many times. So I have not done that. I don't understand though why I am in 3rd place though. I don't want to be. I don't want them to rely on me. I guess I will have to play less often than I am. Usually when I wake up in the morningnafter not playing for 10 hours or so, I am down in the ratings but not this week.

DJ, did the mamager not take anuthing off your bill? if he didnt i would ink that is pretty mucj the normal there. i hopemypumall didmt give a good tip. ome timemw gave a dime and a note.

Morning ladies, happy weekend. I am running to the airport to pick up my intrepid travelers early this morning. DH and DD are quite the wandering duo, think she had more fun than he did. Will spend the day cleaning up, clearing the decks, meal planning and perhaps a little gardening in between rain showers.

Beth you are in the zone and determined, I am inspired by you. I'm gonna make a plan to work on my strength training and find that determination you are modeling. I don't mind the treadmill and elliptical at my gym, I'm completely intimidated by the weight machines and the folks that workout with them.

    Good morning everyone!

NY KAREN - I stuck to my plan also. :D Thank you for being my "buddy". It was a great help. <3 There were temptations along the way, especially afterwards, but I did it! o:)

A few pics from the picnic. My friend Ros had bought pots from eBay with gingham tops and made layered salads for each of us. She also made individual cheesecakes in pots, but I didn't eat that. The gingham theme was because this weekend is in memorial for Jo Cox, the MP who was murdered last year by her constituent. Her husband has asked everyone to celebrate her memory and get together. It was a coincidence that it fell on the same day, but nice anyway. We all had stickers and everything was red gingham, including my friend's hairband! <3 Two Chemopals couldn't make it for the picnic.
    g4yn619r2uea.jpg

Here is me and Ros. Her chemopal Judy is also in the pic.
    j6c1ov8ezk2v.jpg

Then Ros gave us all a party loot bag. We each had the same. 4 lavender bags she made herself and the loveliest cup, saucer and plate. They were made by a company called Stanley (which is her surname) in Staffordshire and they have the "Rose"
pattern, which is her middle name. A wonderful thing to treasure in her memory in years to come.
    iyqynhag9apz.jpg

The journey home on the train was awful, with two trains cancelled, so ours had three train loads in it. I did have a seat, thank goodness. It only went to the airport, so DH had to come out of his way to pick me up, but altogether a great day. <3<3:D

DJ - How horribly annoying that restaurant experience was. When I have, very occasionally, been in that situation they either wipe the bill completely or give a big reduction. I review regularly on TripAdvisor, so you can imagine what I would have been saying. Twice I have been offered a free meal after a bad review. The difficulty always is when you are not the one in charge as you don't feel you can be the one complaining. I find that very difficult as I love a good complain - hence all my free tea towels.!

Ginger hope leg issue gets better. I have issues with leg cramps sometimes. I take an Epson salt bath and do stretching to help with this.

DJ It sounds like the restaurant was not prepared. I am surprised they didn't offer a free dessert or drink to make up for all the problems. Although a large group does present a challenge for them they should know how to handle one.

Dana thanks for sharing your pictures.

    Heather what a fun time!

Enjoying my summer routine. I have managed to get out to the lounge chair and sit and enjoy the backyard for a couple hours a day the past couple of days. AHHHH! Using AC at night so the room is 69 degrees. I also got so drapes that cut down on the noise and make the room darker. I think both are helping my sleep.

    Morning Ladies~
I awoke at 3:30 am and finally went back to sleep after awhile and just woke up..very late for me, and have a load of laundry in the wash.. today will be more clearing out.. so will check in..
My DSIL is a big woman,6 ft plus and im guessing close to 300 lbs..well she smokes, so she gets up has a smoke and didnt eat breakfast, just had some ice tea.. so thursday afternoon I get a call she had passed out in the kitchen, and so she hobbled to her bedroom and put her foot up, I went up and got ice pack for her.. my DB was up in New Hampshire and came home yesterday and took her to the ER. She broke her fibula... so in a boot until she can see the orthopedist.
So Tom just comes to me and says once we go through the divorce , we can stay in the house together for another year, I want the house in Florida(wink wink) and you can stay here, I can stay here and the boys(dogs) can stay here then sell it next spring... we shall see how this all goes. but I am not living under the same roof with him after this is all done..

Kim ~ Glad you have friendly neighbors. Is the man's hair the color of Pres. Trump's?

DJ ~ I have never been to the Bonefish Grill but have looked on line and it was very expensive. So sorry you and your Moose ladies had such a bad experience. How many of you were in the group?

Heather ~ What a wonderful gesture from your friend. You ladies looked like you were having a lovely time.

Michelle ~ Do you ever stop? You must have more energy than anyone I know.

Dana ~ The food picture looks delicious.

Becca ~ I am proud of you for helping Prudence, but, I think you know you have put yourself in a bad position. Hope her relatives do come and advise her.

We celebrated Father's Day with my son's family yesterday. Watched the kids swim and then had delicious smoked ribs, cold slaw, and corn on the cob. I drank too much wine and snacked on crackers, cheese, and chips. Up 3 lbs this AM so will have to be very careful for the next few days. Have my 6 mo prescription checkup on Tues and know the Dr. will fuss at me about my weight. Also, I have owned up to the fact that I drink too much wine and know she will ask me about that.

My brother-in-law was finally released from the hospital last night and my DH had to go get him. They have fitted him with some sort of vest that he must wear 24/7 except in the shower. This supposedly reacts is he stops breathing by shocking him. Never heard of such a thing. Would hate having to wear it.

Meeting 3 friends from college for dinner tonight! DH will have to be on his own which is very unusual in our household.

Michelle, do you have a resistance band? Not the kind that look like rubber bands, but the kind that looks like a bungee cord with handles on each end. This packs easily and you can do a complete workout with it. It's what I plan to take with me when I need to go to my daughter's to babysit in a couple of weeks.

MicheleNC, do you have any resistance bands? That is my go to when I’m traveling as they are easy to pack and lots you can do with them.

    Hi everyone!

KJ: I was unable to post for a few days because we had a bad electrical storm on Wednesday afternoon that fried the transformer that powers our area. We live in a small hamlet (named Pitegny) of about 100 houses that is part of the larger township of Gex. We had no electricity for the first 24 hours, until the power company brought in a temporary generator. That lasted about four hours before it broke and we were again without power until the next day. Without our fans, it was unbearably hot, which meant two sleepless nights. We had only had intermittant power on Friday, but by the evening the power finally came back on and stayed. We are fortunate not to be next to the temporary generator, which is diesel-powered. Our poor neighbors who live right beside it told me that the fumes and noise are awful. The experience made me realize how dependent we are on electricity - no recharging phones or ipads, no lights for reading, no television for the news, no cold for the fridge or freezer, even no vaccuming. Fortunately, we forgot to close the electric shutters the night before, so we at least had light during the day. I kept my food diary going, but decided not to read posts or comment in order to conserve my batteries. We lost some food and are hesitant to bring much in until they get the permanent transformer back up and running, hopefully next week.

I have skimmed to catch up, but have no doubt missed a lot.

Lanette: Yes, the stone floor helps keep the house stay cooler than it would be otherwise. When it is hot like it is now, we usually open all the windows wide very early in the morning to let in the cool air. We then close the windows and shutters part way for the rest of the day to keep out the heat. It works pretty well until the temperatures get above 30°C/ very high 80s or 90s °F. The main level with the stone floors stays reasonably cool even then, but at those temperatures the sleeping level gets very hot. Relatively few houses in France have air conditioning.

Sharon in Lethbridge: One of the best decisions we ever made was to switch our property taxes over to an instalment plan. I much prefer that to have a big bill all at once.

Louise in Vegas: Hope you feel better!

Beth: Congratulations on going to the gym!

Barbie: Your exercise stats are amazing!

Janetr: So sorry to hear about your sister! I hope she gets better soon!

Becca: Belated happy birthday! I hope you had a lovely day!

Felicia: Loved the photo of Mount Rainier. I saw it for the first time up close last summer; it is beautiful!

    Meg: Sending you virtual hugs!

Lisa: Love the kitty photo. She is beautiful!

My broken finger is in a cast that has a plastic inner layer and a covering of vet wrap. The vet wrap is getting pretty dirty and I plan to replace it after my riding lesson today. DH will help. She sent me home with enough vet wrap to redo the finger several times but no written instructions. Advice welcome & appreciated.

Heather I like the last group shot best! And accountability buddies are the awesome, I left a lot of food on my plate and thought I was carrying it home, ooops they gave me the wrong container, into the trash it went, woe is me!

Well both DD and DH are home sleeping in, they said the flight was so turbulent that it woke them both up as they were flying over the middle of the country (somewhere over Michigan) and couldn't fall back to sleep. I feel so happy knowing they are here with me, even if they aren't talking!

Really, really HOT here today. Yes, even in England! Around 85°F
We went to the Church Fete. I am not a churchgoer, but it is a big part of the local community and we always get the Parish Magazine to keep up with things. As usual we bought cakes for DH, plus a rosemary plant. Also bought a glass vase, a book about the planets with a star map for Max and some great toy racing cars. The grandchildren love our car racing games when they come to stay. I resisted the local beer, even when DH had a pint! o:)
Two of my yoga friends were serving in the cake tent and two W I friends in the bric-a-brac. They looked very hot and bothered.

I must be crazy, but I've got a Spanish style chorizo and lentil stew on the stove for dinner. I think we will eat it outside if it's quiet. Next door has a party for their 12 year old. 6 squeaking kids running about plus her younger sister. Last night they camped out in the garden and we're squeaking until gone 11 pm. :D What fun! I am jealous.

Can I join your group? I have 15lbs to go and I have been struggling for quite some time. I need help and support.
I am 63 years old, love to line dance (3-4 times a week), walk a bit (but not enough) and I am not very good at tracking.
Reading the posts here is giving me motivation to change my ways!
Goals for the rest of this month:
Track every day (even if it's not good)
Increase exercise by walking extra blocks home after my daily coffee with my gal pals.

Allie – Yes, I am going to be VERY vocal here, only because I have seen a LOT of things dealing with domestic cases. I agree with Beth, that a silent TomCat is not a safe TomCat. Sounds like he is getting desperate; and, desperate men do desperate things. Sometimes they get more abusive or start being physically abusive. We even had a client who, rather than lose things to his wife, did the most desperate thing you could ever imagine. Murder and Suicide - we never saw that coming because he was so calm otherwise; he just snapped!. Just be safe and if you have to ‘call 9-1-1’. If he talked to an attorney; he might have found out that what you are asking or demanding to get is what the court would probably award you under the circumstances. Be very strong in what you want, and, especially about the things you want to take from him. Believe in your attorney and her abilities to see through any ‘con’ that TomCat has tried to pull over your eyes. Especially, if TomCat has been overly ‘vocal’ in the past. I’d hide any guns in the house; or better yet, give them to your attorney for ‘safe keeping’. Then tell him, he’ll get them back when the Settlement Agreement and Decree have been agreed to and taken. Let the attorneys do the work, that’s what they are getting paid to do. Do NOT under any set of circumstances agree to use the same attorney – you cannot have the attorney be fair to you if you are not paying her, he will have the advance and if it gets really messy you might lose out on having the ‘best’ of attorneys. Tell him that he ‘must’ have his own. So what if it costs him. You can always ‘ask’ that your attorney’s fees be ‘paid’ or ‘reimbursed’ to you. BULL$#*T with him staying there – go for the FL home because that is what he wants most. Don’t keep the house up there, it will turn out to be a “Money Pit” with all the stuff that has to be done to keep a house up with the weather up there. Why in Heaven’s name would you allow him to ‘stay there once you are divorced’? Having him coming and going and knowing ‘where and why’ will only ‘eat at you’ and you will be miserable. Why give him the FL home without a good fight over it. Sounds like he will have a year of making you totally miserable as he is already doing. Get his sorry @$$ out of the house ASAP. Then make it so that he cannot keep the house in FL (which I think I remember you saying it was paid for). IF necessary demand that all assets be sold and all assets divided. Just IMHO. But, you are, I’m sure, going to do as you please, regardless of what any of us say.

I want to ‘kick him’ a little further up than the shins. He is going to press you into doing something that will NOT be in YOUR BEST interest. Do NOT sign anything that you have not taken to your attorney first; and, then make copies of it. He will wear you down in a lot more ways than one. He has already proven that. You can get ‘temporary things that would be set out in the complaint you have had him served with' … you can amend it to have him have to leave the house and make the payments on it. He'd be a 'fool' to NOT pay the mortgage, he would only cut his own throat and the payments on it thus far would be lost. In other words, he isn't going to let it go into 'foreclosure'. He has a girlfriend that he can go ‘stay with’. So it isn’t like he has to make a mortgage payment AND pay rent on an apartment. IF he asks you ‘why’ tell him it is because he has a ‘girlfriend he can go stay with, you are NOT going to continue to being ‘maid and cook’ or have to constantly have to listen to his verbal abuse. I’d say that I was ‘fearful’ of him, and you should be. I

Michele, DamitJanit, and DJ – I had resistant bands, and over-the-door pully; but, sent them to my DBnL after he got home from having his stroke in Miami to help with some exercises and told him to ask his PT and OT if he could use them.

Leigh – Our insurance on house is on an installment plan with our insurance company; but, we have to come up with the property taxes which run about $1700 on the house and 90+ acres.

We go to Bonefish Grill every time we get together in Daytona. Service and food has always been good; but, being a chain restaurant, I am sure that not all of them are always good. This last year we went to a ‘really’ fancy restaurant … two waiters, linen napkins, linen table cloth, and meals brought out one by one. We all ordered something different and passed our plates around for everybody else to have a bite or two; then, they came back to us. Coffee and dessert to ‘kill for’. Louis got sick before we left and by the time we got home he was somewhat better; but, refused to let the men take him to the ER. He now has a DVD that his Urologist has given him to watch. So far, he hasn’t. I’m going to watch it with him. I told him that his MD would NOT have given it to him if he thought that it might be something that would have to be done in case of an emergency. That might entail having them admit him into the hospital (mainly because of his age).

Pip and Becca – I also type very fast. Don’t have to ‘hunt and peck’. Can type without looking at my hands.

Carol – Glad your brother is out of the hospital. Are they going to have to do a surgical implant of a pacemaker?

Dana – When we are planning on eating out or grilling out (like today to celebrate DOS’ birthday … I only eat breakfast and my nightly ‘snack’. That way I don’t go over my daily intake of calories, at least not by much.

Joyce – I did sing in the choir in HS; not so much opportunity anywhere else. Sing it in Mass when we go. I don’t worry about it there. I just wish I could sing and hit the ‘high’ notes and hold them for a long time. I guess that is why we watch “The Voice” … so many great singers on it, so much talent … it has to be a close call on any of them.

Heather – What a beautiful gift she gave y’all. I agree, such a nice way to remember her for years. I have a funny story about kids screaming all around, maybe if I haven’t deleted it I will post a copy of it; if not I will try to recreate the gist of it.

It just started raining again, and Louis hasn't stopped mowing yet. Surely, he will soon.

Temperature is supposed to be 11 degrees today. Blast furnaces are more comfortable... But the art show is at 4 pm. The owner of the coffee shop has already today me she wants one of mine ... Flattering. Have six paintings in the show. Fingers crossed!

    Love y'all,

Oh my! Just had the most lovely and delicious Spanish stew outdoors in our beautiful garden, with red wine. Watched the horse mothers and their foals whickering to each other and the birds that are nesting in our nest boxes collecting seeds from our feeders. A perfect evening with the perfect company - my DH. <3 It is so rare that it is warm enough to eat outside in the evening. We often did in London, where the temperature is 5° higher, but in the countryside it's usually too cold once the sun has gone down. Not today. Perfect.
Living here gives us the perfect opportunity to observe animal life. I have amazed at and humbled by the wonderful mothering that the mares are giving their foals, right outside my windows. And I can watch the birds all day long. Plus a squirrel, a rabbit, a badger and a fox.
    Blessed.

Louis is going to 'grill out' sausage that he and DOS bought yesterday; cooking red beans and rice, and have some red potato salad. That should be enough and good, too. On weekends and sometimes during the week I only eat 2 meals and make them count. Usually eat my big meal of the day about 2:00pm. It rained early and will probably rain some later on.

I guess Trey and Jenn and the girls went over to some friends' house to celebrate Trey's birthday which was yesterday. I called him about 10 minutes before 5 and told him I was wishing him a Happy Birthday a little early; he did not come until 5:31pm ... he was happy to remain 40 for that bit of time. LOL!

Kim in N Cal, we had the nicest neighbors to the side of us. The rental house butted up to a bike trail, so we had no people looking down on us. So I would be out sunning, and dear Nadine would yell over the fence, "are ya nude"! I would answer as quietly as I could, " why yes Nadine I am". She grew great tomatoes so I did a lot of bargaining with her!
