    TIL an Australian broadcaster banned an episode of Peppa Pig that taught that "spiders can't hurt you" after complaints it was unsuitable for Australian audiences.

    which makes sense. the most dangerous spiders in the UK are described as redness or mild pain when they bite.

    but australian spider bites are describe more like fangs so long they can pierce toenails but antivenom in available so there hasnt been any deaths in 50 years.

    I would hope they wouldnt show that peppa pig episode, dont want a 5 year old playing with a funnel web spider

    Even the smaller spiders ..my 120kg, 6ft4 ex was totally dropped on his *kitten* for days after a little redback bite

    TIL that NES games like Battletoads were made so hard because Nintendo was losing money on video game rentals. If they took a long time to beat, people would have to buy the games instead.
