Was on my third set of glute bridges in 28 C degree heat, looking at my ceiling wondering what the hell I was thinking, when I remembered I have a ceiling fan I never use it b/c Mandy furchild freaked out when I tried in winter (to get fire heat circulating). Cats can suck it up.

I thought DOMS could've had something to do with it! The days that I was the most sore were the days I was the most hungry. Well everything kind of went up together because I started eating more calories, but looking at percentages, fat and protein both went up, carbs going down.
Yep, and that’s a pretty strong correlation regarding strength training in general. For most people, just getting back into or starting strength training, there’s a lot of reported increased appetite. Logically, it makes sense. Muscle damage requires protein and nutrients for repair and recovery.
DOMS is that process to a greater degree, which could explain the extra weight loss as well, since there actually is more damage done so inflammation and fluid shift dissipate as cells recover.3 -

Ha, I did most of my dance training in Auckland. In a studio with no air con just a few fans circulating warm air. Ever done what we called body conditioning (super intense cardio) in 30+ degree heat? It's a good time.2 -

I broke the rules of the 'how much water weight can I gain' sorry guys . Mass food processor/blender catastrophic disaster last night, and by the time I'd cleaned 800ml of shake off my floor and walls and appliances, I was just over it, so, deficit. I think yesterday would have been max with ovulation anyway.
Exercise for the day so far (before 6.30am): retrieving baby bunny from under bed and burying it. Just how many bunny funerals am I going to have to have???1 -

Yeah, I definitely still think it's worth wading through for new comers to the thread, which is why I encouraged it in the revision, but understandably daunting!! Basically people just need to have it open in a seperate browser window and chip away at it1 -

Every time I see a flurry of posts in here I get scerred that someone will try to post some woo and start an argument and get the whole thing nuked! I keep meaning to scroll through and copy/paste all the links into a doc so I don't lose them if that happens. Haha, I had that same fear early on when there was a mass flurry of activity overnight one time. I was all 'oh no, who broke my thread???!!!!'.

I will take it. Actually, I should caveat it with if I also get air con. I love the heat but prefer it a bit cooler in reality because of how hot it gets in my flat. And my flat is also my home gym so things get VERY sweaty.0 -

Yes, well, no air con unfortunately. And I live in a lovely solid pine house that has huge windows and holds the heat. I do have a ceiling fan that I'd forgotten about until yesterday though!! Oh, and right on queue, there goes my house doing massive creaks as the wood expands with the heat.
Also, air con dries my skin, so I'm screwed either way0 -
Oh, and try sweat combined with emollient cream for extra greasy grossness when you're working out!1

Whilst many are miffed at the gain of pounds, I am actually celebrating the upwards swing. It seems to be working. A whole 2 lbs up and steady for two days, six days into surplus. Have upped my carbs today, gone all mega shake as well and downed my fats a bit and nausea seems to be abating. Phew...bodyfat percentage down...7

I'm curious if I'd be okay doing a deliberate bulk now (not like right now). I've always said no freaking way, but I always gain a little in winter it seems, so I'm thinking next year I may as well put it to good use.1
