For any new posters on this thread -- we would love to have you join us on the "Just for Today" thread. I had started that one originally, and started this one thinking we all needed a fresh start. But ... the other thread is still very active, while this one is not as much. So .... we would love to have you join us! Here is the thread -- same principle, taking it one day at a time:

For your reference... Here is my legend for how I mark off of my goals have been completed or not:
✅ Goal accomplished.
❎Sooooo close it almost counts as accomplished.
❌No where near Goal. Complete failure.
So I caved fro some Halloween Candies... but I made sure to stay within my goals!!! I've lost another bit of weight and am now at 188.6! I've not seen that number in over a year!
I'm going to keep it simple for now:
Goals for Oct 27th:
- Stay within carb goal
- Drink LOTS of water
- Stay Zen
2 -
JFT - celebrate no wine all week - and enjoy wine tonight. Lol.
Gotta make this fun or I just won't last.

Spent the whole afternoon out with my family and we ate at a restaurant so I wasn't able to keep tommy carbs. (I did a pretty good job though considering... but was about 30 over anyway).
Goals for Oct 30th:
1. Sign new work agreement
2. Write resignation letter
3. Stay calm no matter what happens at work today
4. Keep carbs under goal
5. Go get blood work done (my worst fear/nightmare is needles so I've been putting it off for 6 weeks... even just writing it here gives me anxiety).
6. Stay positive

Jumping in here!
Just for today:
1. Eat slowly, mindfully, sitting down
2. Ask my kids to clear their own places and package leftovers so I’m not tempted to nibble
3. Pre-portion my nighttime snack (150 cal) when I make dinner3 -
Ok, so I've been doing REALLY poorly at coming back and reporting on my goals the day after. I promised myself I would stick to 1 thread so I've chosen this one.
Today is Nov 1st. The first of the month is always a good time to reinforce good habits.
JFT: Nov 1:
1: Stay below carb goal
2: Drink as much water as yesterday (or more)
3: Stay calm
4: Be positive
5: No Sugar!!!!
6: Bonus: Stay under calorie goal3 -

Great goals!! (We will miss you on the other thread though -- I'm going to have to keep posting here to follow your goals!). You can do it! You and I are both around the same weight - we're going to do this!1 -
Goals for November
1. stay in the 180s - goal is to be at 185 by the end of the month (current weight 188)
2. don't use food to control emotions. Around the holidays coming it is hard - write down feelings, and actually feel them. Don't try to mask with food
3. concentrate on 8+ glasses of water each day3 -

Yesterday was ok. A friend spontaneously took me out for lunch because I'm leaving (I'm expecting more of that to happen over the next two weeks... I have a lot of friends at work. They are all very sweet. It just makes counting carbs/calories difficult). I ate dinner at my parents place so I didn't quite make my carb goal. I only had a tiny bit of sugar - my willpower was pretty good. Today I'm hoping to have none at all and to be even better!
Thank you for your kind words @joan6630 ! I appreciate you posting in both places. I'm hoping I will be able to stick to following up on my posts here.2 -

@Bex953172 Thanks for letting me know! I'm still reading the old thread too and will post there every now and then. I just find it easier for me to find and focus on my goals here.
Right now my life online is relatively boring. I'm a little less stressed now that I've officially resigned but I'm going through to motions (and emotions) of leaving a place where I feel comfortable. Most people weren't expecting me to leave so it's a big adjustment and it feels weird still being there when I know I'm leaving soon. I don't get a lot of time to post and I am just trying to focus on my little (repetitive) weight goals and keep myself in a positive state of mind in preparation for the big adventure on the horizon.2 -
I totally missed getting on here last nite to post my goals. After having TWO bad days with eating sugar, I am finding how hard it is to get back motivated again. Those bad habits can come back SO quickly - but I'm not going to let them. I also forgot how Crappy I feel when I eat that junk. Why can't my brain remind me of this more often!
So my goals for tomorrow will be simple again .... to get back on track!
Friday, NOV 3
1. go to the gym - start the day out the right, positive way
2. log ALL food
3. stay away from anything with sugar in it. I have to detox the sugar out of my system
4. drink lots of water
5. be mindful of what I eat
6. get back on here tomorrow - be accountable.3 -
