Allow me to speak;
to clear up the air,
I’m a tall man with a chin and great hair.
Six feet, four inches do I proudly stand,
A friend to you all, a helping big hand.
I’m not here for diets or logging my food,
To joke and to laugh and not be a prude.
I’ve scars on my body, my heart and my soul,
I mask it with laughter, to fill in the hole.
My mind is a gutter, my posts often match,
Someone should offer to batten my hatch.
Cool socks and nice watches, I often do show,
My lyrical rhymes imply I have ‘flow’.
Long winded this is, and finish I must,
My story is yours, I hope and I trust.

all I see in the mirror
is this big fat disaster
every morning I wake
and think, "I can win"
I can do this, I can
I won't shove it all in."
yet somehow it reverses
I'm slave to the sweet
all day is a binge
I eat and I eat
The food is my master
stress makes me its *kitten*
my emotions are numb
turned off like a switch
I'm no longer human
not happy
not pretty
Don't even look at me
I only look *kitten*.

It's dark in that tunnel
Come back to the light
It's dark without hope
Without love it's a fight
A fight to be better
Perfection's a dream
Unattainable goals
Are not what they seem
Stop where you are
See the beauty that's there
Treat yourself as you treat others
It's only what's fair
You are wonderfully
Beautifully, awfully created
To all nature's wonders
We are somehow related
Don't be mean
Don't be cruel
Love the beautiful

As the voices crescendo
Adults fun gets blocked
Rules are no sexual innuendo
Then I think, I don't want to get fined

The day you showed up
I lost everything I had ever had
Tainted heart of yours
deleted feelings I had kept
I dipped my hand in regret
that day we met
Surreal, it sure felt
to be with someone that spent
every second of their day
trying to repaint
the old life with new paint
but brushes kept breaking
Distant from the canvas
Half-bent, two-faced heart raced,
Hand caressed its favorite place—
just above my knee, underneath black lace
You told me how you felt
that day we met
Some time has passed
I look back at vigorous pace
whilst trying to remember when it wouldn't stop raining
