I need to put on the damn tee shirt that we have. We have tee shirts don't we? What would they be, if we did?
I think we need the first t-shirt, plants eat sunshine and poop out air. lol That's a good one!
Sorry about you not being able to contact your son, but his time will be up pretty soon, if I recall correctly?

Evie we never did get down to the funeral home my dad and I, but he did give me some of his wishes...so bless his heart he was a deppresion baby so always trying to save money so we are having him cremated... and we are ordering a Boston Red Sox urn for him...gave them a 1500.00 deposit, and will have to pay up the 4400 bucks end of the week, where that comes from is anyones guess.. but wont worry about that tonight..
I have taken the week off from work.. and will somehow make up the money some somewhere

M - If you don't follow the recipe about jelly as shown on the pectin box it will not turn out like it should. You have to have the exact measurements of fruit juice, sugar, and pectin and put in the exact order as stated on the box, too. I know I tried putting one thing before the other and it set up really thick. You can't do it with less or more juice, sugar, or pectin. You cannot really double up either.

I love finding sayings! I have many that just show up on my Facebook feed. I had a Rosie the Riveter tee shirt once. It was a goal shirt! So I lost weight, but when I put it on my boobs made her forearm practically jump out at ya! I donated to one of my TOPS ladies that had no problems with Rosie's bulging arms... Lol!!!!
The son I'm not able to correspond with is my eldest son who's almost 30. He thought he was getting out in October 2018, but that's his rotation date not his getting out date. So he still has until 2020. In January he was to have talked with his detailer on his choice of next billet. He will most likely choose a squadron on Whidbey island where he is presently. Hugs!

Karen in Virginia, appreciate your nice sediments. He was an amazing guy, and made my Mom happy. The fact that he would come from the garden at 10 am most every Sat, and present my Mom a flower, shows how endearing he was. The time and day of their marriage. He tended to almost 100 Bonsai trees in an area in our back yard. He loved Asian things, and so when we were stationed in Japan for 7 years, I easily adapted to the lifestyle. He appreciated BBC humor, something I passed down to my sons. Having a son sing Blackadder's theme music at 5 yrs old is priceless! Watching historical shows with my step father helped me embrace our Renaissance Faire years. He also got me hooked on Luciano Pavarotti, and I can recall us both crying and watching his specials on Oregon Public Television. I have told him throughout the years how special he was, which I am glad he knew. The fact that my kids called him Grandpa Bob, even Owain, who never met my Mom. His obligations as a Grandpa still continued long after my Mom had passed. Even keeping the Highlight's magazine going, something my Mom always did for my sons. It was like getting a piece of my Mom every month.

(((Allie))), sorry to hear that you have lost your father. Wish I was there to give you a big hug. Alfie will just have to do it for me.
Janet, ((Hugs)) to you too as you grieve for your sister.
Becca, glad to see you back.
Welcome to the newbies.
Lousy eating today and down about it. Going to paint my nails then go to bed early and read .

The wind this morning didn't bother the dogs and we had a nice long walk. The power went out in our neighborhood about 7 AM but I had no chance to make use of any of my alternate plans for the day because the power came on about 8, just before I got home. Jake's response to the power outage was to go back to bed so he was asleep when I got home.
Becca, glad to see you back with us,
Rhonda, welcome. I hope you'll come back often and join the conversation.
tuliplor, I'm glad to see you again. It's never too late to make a fresh start.
At age 71, I feel healthier than I did through most of my life. I eat good food, exercise a lot, focus on what adds value to my life, sleep better, and am open to learning new things. So much of that, I've acquired as the direct result of having all of you in my life.

Hello, Haven't posted here in a long time. My dtr from San Jose Ca came to visit first week of Jan then the day she left on the 4th, I got really sick with like a very bad cold with respiratory problems. Went thru antibiotics & just had to stop working out & doing much till I got/get better. I'm better but not well yet. Haven't gained weight but the extra wt I have got redistributed, lol so I'm kinda flabby in the middle. Went to gym for a bit this morning. Karen from San Jose, I live in Fresno & go visit my dtr once in a while.Allie, I'm so very sorry about your father. I have a lot of posts to catch up on. Before I forget, melatonin really helps my dogs during fireworks.3

Thanks for the welcome. I look forward to support and being supportive.3 -
Heather - the arch supports you recommended came in while we were gone, and I think they're going to work wonders... in a shoe-free house, so something that doesn't need a shoe around it is quite useful. Think I'll be ordering another pair soon, so I can always find them! LOL....

Allison - I'm so so sorry (((HUGS)))))
Karen UK - 15 pounds in 18 months -- absolutely doable! We'll be there with you every step of the way
Went to Aldi. I tell you, Sun. morning is THE time to go around here. I got there at 9:45, spent over $60, and left at 10:30. Some church around here must have a 9:00 service because by the time I left, it was starting to get busier. Not as busy as it will probably be around 1. Then stopped at Kohl's. I had a $5 coupon plus another coupon for 30% off. Got an Instant Pot cookbook for Jess. Regularly $13, I got it for $5.
Penny, oh Penny, where are thou Penny?????
<I love this group and truly depend on it to keep me motivated and the knowledge that I can do this. I enjoy the diversity in eating, exercise and habits that each one brings to the group. I learn something new every day here. > Beautiful!
Made a mandarin orange cake for when Steven is here. Also made some lemon squares for him to have on the ride home. I know he likes those. Still need to ice the cake.
tuliplor and Rhonda and evamutt- welcome back!
Becca - She's BAAACCCCKKKK! So happy, now we get your words of wisdom, wonderful! You know something, I'm not a t-shirt person at all. I own some, but never wear them. I just don't like something around my neck. I prefer v-neck shirts. Sorry to hear about your stepdad. He sounds like an amazing man.
janetr - I'm sorry about your sister

Good evening Ladies!
I've been absent for awhile but you are all always in my heart. I have not caught up with the 1600+ posts but I am jumping back in.
I think the last you heard from me I had fallen and tore the ligaments in my left ankle. I am happy to report that I am about 90% better but unhappy to report that I have gained almost 13 lbs. since October. The last quarter of the year was particularly hard and I was not as diligent as I should have been. Time to get back on track.
I'll let you know what's been going on with me in a future posts. Gotta run, have work and exercise to do before it gets too late. Just wanted you all to know I was still around.
Love and hugs to all.

Allie ... so very sorry ... keeping you in my prayers.
Becca ... hello!
Heather .... I did check into some online Instant Pot sites ... yikes! A lot of info out there!
Have gotten very little done this weekend but did get some food prep done for the upcoming week. Very much want to get myself back on track. Not liking the way I feel right now and that's the extra weight that keeps creeping back on!
