Rye, & Lanette , I did the hardware jewelry a couple of years ago and sold some at a local craft show. No future plans to have a website for them as I’ve been concentrating on the chainmaille. I’m sure I have some left over and I will check and see. Anyone interested in seeing what I have left just [send a private message] and I’ll send you pictures of what I have left.
Shaving...The hair under my arms and on my legs don’t really grow since I had a hysterectomy. Maybe 2 leg hairs and I shave under my arms about every other month. Don’t miss it at all.
Had my MRI today and it went well. Only had to go into the machine up to my waist which was nice. I’ll get the results next Tuesday. I so hope I don’t have to have surgery. Went out to dinner before and had a very unsatisfactory meal. The place we went to used to be good but not any more. I was so disappointed as I saved most of my calories for the day for the meal.
We’ll I’m beat so heading to bed and book.

Penny, for most of my teaching career, I expected that I would keep teaching until I was so old that they forced me to retire, then one day when I was 58 years old, I realized that I'd had enough and made the decision to retire. I could have made more money if I had continued but there was a feeling that my quality of life would be improved if I weren't teaching any more. I have never regretted the decision.
The weather was beautiful today for the neighborhood cleanup day. There was a big dumpster and men and trucks to help gather yard waste. My walking friend and I hauled many loads of stuff from her yard and mine. It was quite interesting to watch the parade of women ages 70+ pushing wheelbarrows and hand carts full of debris to the collection. Jake stayed home to coordinate with the fence builder and wait for the rest of the fence to be delivered. He finally got a phone call to say that it would be delivered tomorrow before noon. The holes have all been dug. We went outside in the afternoon and sat on the patio for awhile, then I started pulling weeds and Jake got out the lawn mower. I think we'll both sleep well tonight after the fresh air and exercise.

Good evening!
Rye I had to laugh at insufficiently nasty! I thought: that must mean not nasty enough!!
I worked for an attorney in administration at TxDOT for 5 years. Very interesting; I would type and proof the Opinions for different employment cases where employees were fired and they were appealing their case. I don’t think they do that anymore. There were a lot of changes and I now think HR handles it. There may not be a chance to appeal. I went over to Audit later on. I got tired of that with the stress so I quit. I was going to retire but instead 5 months later I went to work at Texas Parks and Wildlife. That was a fun job. I worked in 14 budgets and did purchasing for he marketing dept.
Becca I shave my legs very rarely. When they itch; gotta shave. The pits-maybe 1x a month. I’m about ready to give it up too, but when I get a pedicure I think I better shave my legs. Who wants to give a leg massage to someone with long hair on their legs!!
My friends daughter was medi-vacced from Ft Bragg to Walter Reed Medical Ctr. in Bethesda, MA, today in a C-130 aircraft with a dozen nurses on board taking care of her. Sandy, her mother is physically and mentally exhausted for it all. It’s been 25 days now. I don’t remember if I mentioned it but she (Lisa) was in a terrible motorcycle accident and she lost one of her legs and broken bones. She’s had 4 surgeries just this past week and still in a coma.
She’s a career military NCO and recently returned from Afghanistan. Very crazy about her horses and pets.
Please say a prayer for Lisa and mom Sandy and their family!
Thanks,
Dana in Arkansas

Thanks Barbie and others who chimed in. I'm not actually retiring. Rather the opposite! Teaching these courses meant tootling off to Stockholm for a week at a time 3-4 times a year, which in turn meant I couldn't have a regular 9 to 5 job. I'm thinking a few years on a salary will put me in a better place for retirement.
The Scandinavian systems provide retirement benefits for all, but in Sweden, the amount is based on your lifetime earnings in Sweden. So for people like my husband and me, who worked half our lives in Sweden and half in Norway, the total doesn't promise party-party in our old age. The Norwegian system puts greater emphasis on what you earn during the last three years before you retire.
Terry - I loved the jewelry too! And Rye and Terry, you can count me among the hardware store enthusiasts. Maybe it comes from my grandfather. He had a marvelous cabinet out in his "shop" up at the cottage in New Hampshire. It was about 20 rows of long, narrow wooden drawers with 15 in each column. Each drawer had a white porcelain knob and tacked to the outside was a sample of what the drawer contained: screws, washers, erasers, rulers, ball-point pen springs, empty thread spools, sawblades, keys without locks, locks without keys... I could spend hours looking through those drawers.
Machka - I think of you often. Sending strength!

Good Wednesday!
My doggie alarm barked at 5 am. Emptied dishwasher, started work paperwork, caught up with ya'll, now to get ready for work.
Shaving- I am the one that tends to not shave all winter except before massages , but new shampoo has to stay in for 5 mins! What else to do for that time?
Terry- love the jewelry! Right up my alley!
Adding Lisa and her mom to prayers.
Ladies- keep smiling cause you are loved and make the best choices for you today!

No change on scale this week. Better than adding. Too little sleep, water and movement.

On shaving - daily on pits. I epilady my legs so less and less grows back as the years pass. I need to do it every 3-4 weeks.
I didn’t feel great last night and was asleep at 7. Unfortunately, that meant I was up at 1 AM. I have been up since then. I have done two loads of laundry, got my 5 1/2 miles in, and have been working for almost 3 hours now and have knocked out the hardest part of what I needed to do today for work. Now I’m taking a break to have some breakfast.
Hugs ladies!

Meg sounds like it might be the alternator. The battery is more than likely fine since it is new. I agree just park it in a spot that won't be a problem and leave it. You have other priorities. Sorry you have this to deal with too.4
