We just got news a few minutes ago that we will be great-grand parents again. This is our Navy grandson who is currently out to sea on an air craft carrier. October 20th is due date given, and we continue to grow

Hello Everyone! I have been on a thread for almost two years and over time it has evolved from a chatty group like this to mostly just posting weight loss challenges and the accompanying numbers. That does not motivate me very much and since I'm an introverted extrovert, I do better with friendships at a distance, so this group seems great!
I'm 69, retired, divorced for many years. Mother of three, grandmother of 7, and great grand of 1and 3/4! In the photo I'm the one in the dark shirt. The other one is my best friend of many years. We were on our way last year to Disneyworld, with her daughter and family and they had crafted Mickey and Minnie ears for all of us. We obviously enjoy being silly with our grands!
I live in Nashville, TN mostly, although I have a place in Chattanooga as well. I travel a lot from time to time. My granddaughter is a flight attendant and I have flight privileges from her, so sometimes I fly, but I love road trips best of all. I also love camping and all sorts of outdoor activities. The beach is my favorite place to rest and restore, so I go there as often as possible!
I started working at weight loss after a serious health problem, which came to light when I couldn't seem to recover from a near fatal episode of pneumonia. I started at 307 and lost about 50, then this past fall I had a serious bout of depression and gained about 20 pounds and then maintained that through the winter and now I'm back on the road again to a healthier and happier me. My first goal is to get rid of the 20 lbs and I'm happy to say I'm down 5!
Looking forward to traveling along with you guys! Holly13 -
Congrats JanetR, great news
Pip - The wooden bike is spectacular. Does Kirby ride it? I would be afraid something would happen it it.
Rebecca - actually, we rode in a golf cart so didn’t get that much exercise but did swing a lot! Also as part of the tournament, we had a huge hamburger lunch. I brought half home and had it for dinner. Yesterday was 85 degrees today 50’s and windy. So, I will go to the Y this afternoon and do machines and elliptical. I
I was in a 6 year research study at UTSouthWesternMedical Center to determine the correct formula for the AREDS II vitamins for macular degeneration. There was a part of the research done by Duke Univ on the affects the different vitamins had on mental capacity. Today was my exit interview and after 6 years of vitamins and 6 years of follow-up the study is ending. So glad I was a part of the research done and hope it is helpful to others with Macular Degeneration.
Have a happy day.9 -

Naughtiness I was the brain behind the pranks. We were discussing all the bomb scares in schools at the time and my brother took it on himself to call one in for fun. I got blamed, taken to the local police department where the fear of God was put in me. I was banned from Prom and the Junior Senior dinner. In reality it wasn’t that bad of a punishment for me as I wasn’t really big on social gatherings. Still not.
Karla thanks for the yoga info.
Rebecca I have started going longer and longer between leg shaves. I have dark hair below my knees so I may still shave. No hair under arms though.
Terry Hardwearables are cool! Something I would buy!
Heather living your book. About halfway through. Bringing back locks of good and bad memories.
Lanette both my grandmothers lived to over 90 and were “stout”. My mother is ‘82’ and also is ‘stout’. Seems we all have been on diets all our lives!

Felicia, I had 2 co-workers who went temorarily blind, or had visual disturbances similar to yours. One woke up blind like you did, had his wife take him immediately to the ER and it turned out to be the first manifestation of severe diabetes. The other had an episode mid-day, went to ophthalmologist, who found nothing. Her vision returned and she went on with her life. Two days later she had a massive stroke. Turns out her episode of blindness was a TIA. So not to alarm, but please get thoroughly checked out.

MISERY LOVES COMPANY!!!! I just read and commented on 10 frigging pages of this thread and then made a tiny little mistake and lost the whole thing. I am now licking my wounds and glad Katla is miserable with me. Although I am sorry you lost your post, Katla.
Welcome, Holly. We will chat your ears off.

Hi all!
So sorry Dana.Such a vibrant young woman.
Thanks Rita!
I'm exhausted so this will be short.
There might be a chance that our buyers could proceed without selling and rent out their place instead. Waiting to hear their final decision.
The antibiotics don't seem to be getting a grip on the cystitis. Still not good. Usually they act quickly.
I've been looking after the grandchildren all day, but they have been really good. Bea's talking is really coming on. Still tiring though, even though they are delightful. I keep worrying about the cystitis. Let's hope it starts to subside.
Much love to all, thanks again to all the readersand don't forget to write a review!
Lots of love, Heather UK xxxxxxx9 -

Hi ladies,
Dana, I’m sending good thoughts Lisa’s way. I totally understand why her mom is worried. And to have returned from Afghanistan and then have something happen here. Life is so confusing sometimes.
NYKaren, thinking of your too.
Janet, Yeah! More baby pictures. Congratulations.
Campfireque, Welcome and congrats on the 5 lbs. You are on your way.
Heather, fingers crossed for you and the buyers coming through for you. Glad the antibiotics are helping.
Rainy and colder today (53f – 12c).
Hugs, Terry4 -

It's Hump Day!! This week husband and I are walking around the neighborhood instead of the gym. Husband still gets pains where his surgery was. Probably the inner stitches that are trying to heal. Any pronounced movement that really uses his abdominal muscles. He's hoping that this week of rest will help him.
I'm feeling better today. Up .8 lbs, but it was the pizza I had last week. I have my bracelet on my vanity, and when I get to 244.2 I will put it back on. Even sitting there it's a motivator. Wearing my bracelet is something I need to earn.
Haven't heard from Nuke son in about 4 weeks. He has a phone, and I have left messages. He has posted on Facebook, so I know he's not in some danger or something. That kid frustrates the heck out of me! I have told him I'm trying to let him be, but a message here and there saying I'm fine is all I need. The fact of the matter is he doesn't need me, he's 19 and a man. Booboo! My little Owain can't grow up!!!
Owain home at Christmas time! We are making coffee and chatting!
Well, my whining is over, time to be productive!!
