Two fairies and a Fairy Grandmother.6

(((Machka & Husband)))
Heather ~ Cute picture of the fairies. Glad to hear your son is doing well. My son is a restaurant manager and says that it doesn't bother him to be around drinking there but would be bothered if he were at my house as that is a trigger (). Guess because of all the family occasions where drinking was a large part.
To all who are losing....Cheers and Well Wishes for You!
To all who are suffering physically, mentally, or situationally....Prayers and Good Thoughts.
I am proud to say that I was knocked off center yesterday regarding a long time family dispute but prayed and it is not bothering me a bit.

Machka (((hugs))) and praying the infection clears yesterday. How tantalizing yet frustrating the words and short phrases must be. I'd be tempted to wish him angry just to hear him talk, but that's selfish me. Brava for exhausting yourself
pip way cool! Kirby is back on the bike? WOW! Nearly choked on my tea when I saw the tiara and mardi gras beads. Thanks for the belly laugh!
Kay "in honor of you all..." LOL!
Barbie Brava for teaching the intermediate class. When our teacher has us call as we dance my synapses shortcircut and I loose either speech or feet. ;} Wish I could be there, know you're a gifted teacher!
Trishathe domino pups!
Rebecca your steak salad looks so delicious, will copycat you but with arugula instead.
Lanette, sprouts already! You must sing them right out of the soil!
Rori, Well do I remember the drive along Royal Gorge. Back in the fifties the road was narrow, winding and the precipices terrified poor acrophobic Mama. She spent most of the drive face down on our Rambler's reclined seat with me patting her shoulder and telling her when it was ok to look up. That link recalls the feeling Mama must have had. I'm mostly ok with natural heights but would never walk that bridge. Man made heights can bring me to my knees. Enjoy the SkyCoaster [shudder].
Katla surprised that NW Oregon could be dry enough to need drip irrigation, thanks for explaining. Great Rachel Edwards quote, kinda wish I'd have "gotten it" during my working years...
KJ "...we don't tell him no" Really? How can they keep him safe? From touching hot stoves or swallowing rocks or darting into traffic or poking strange dogs or or or??? NO wonder he's a whirlwind of naughtiness! Safe travels and lots of Joaquin pics please!
Heather how did your son's beer tasting go? Precious fairies and (ditto Rye and Katla) beautiful fairy grandmother!
Carol "...prayed and it is not bothering me..." Well done!
Welcome Holly, Kris from CA!
Welcome Locked In, let us know your name and general location so we can remember you next time.
Learned AGAIN that even when I think I've blown it, logging can help me recover. Succumbed to McDonald's breakfast (first in months) and while it gobbled up more than half my allotment, was able to finish the day with tons of veggies and still come in under (thanks to activity). Never too bad to log. Never too late to recover or restart. Amazingly .4 lbs closer to last check in weight..... and now to progress!
Time to meditate, dress in layers of grubbies (it's cool and overcast again) and tackle the rest of that raised bed.
Enjoy the day!Barbara, the Southern Oregon Coastie AHMOD.

Hi Ladies,
March has been a rough month and April hasn't been much better. Haven't been able to lose a pound or an inch. Trying to add more protien to my diet to see if that helps. Also have zero energy. It's been so cold and rainy that I haven't felt like doing anything. Hopefully, we'll get some sun and warm weather soon. Have a great day.

Machka ((HUGS)) Thank you for taking us along on your journey through your DH's recovery. Glad you are able to get out and do things for you.
Barbara AHMOD - seems like it's either raining or a drought in our part of the PNW. I think it stays wetter closer to the ocean so you should be in better shape, tho plants in pots will probably need help. Way to go getting back with the logging, sometimes McD's draw is just too strong to resist!
Wendy - yes, the smartphone is the next best thing to the teleporter, lol. Moving van is supposed to show up today but haven't seen anything yet.
Rori - I think I could walk on the bridge if it's not swaying. Looks like a fabulous get-away! Another state for my bucket list. Up to three buckets now!
Heather - adorable photo of all the fairies!Glad to hear your DS is having success with the help of AA.
Carol - amazing what prayer can do!
I came across a little poster on FB - each time I read it, I get a different message it seems. But the "letting go" part is what appeals to me. When my DH gets on my nerves - he's going through a rough time with his arthritis right now and his dream of quitting smoking is taking longer than he thought and he's grouchy. There's a new "noise" in the neighborhood like a squeaky piece of equipment that is driving him nuts and making him angry. It's a block or two away. At the age of 72 he's cursed with good hearing.Thank you for letting me vent!
Doing my best to let go.
Have a good day ladies!

Ok I did a silly! I'm on the phone in the kitchen, with my old doctor trying to get an old claim paid. Started this deal way back in 3-11 when I got the lab bill, and my insurance didn't cover a portion. Back then I called our military insurance and was told it was a covered procedure, but the wrong code was out on it, so my military insurance kicked it out. Called my old doctor and they would put it thru correctly. Later in the month I called my military insurance to check if it had been processed and nothing there. They said it was a diagnostics code that was wrong! So let the doctors office know that. This month recd past due bill from lab, and called them stating that it's being dealt with so keep yer pants on! Called doctors office and left voice mail to the person I had been dealing with about that. Today I called the military insurance again and was told that the PVP for high risk types ,( that's what the lab has listed as the unpaid part), was NOT covered. Why would my doctor give me a shot, or lab test, knowing my insurance doesn't cover it??? This was part of my yearly appointment, so I had a PAP done, and she asked if I'd ever had a cervical cancer test done. I don't quite remember if I got a shot, or just blood drawn.... But anyway I'm not paying the 129.24! Well the silly thing I did was when I told the old doctors office about the issue, she said she would give this matter to their manager and she would call me back. I'm looking at all my info, and my new phone number isn't listed anywhere, and it's not in my brain yet, so I told her to hold. Then ran upstairs! It was right on the phone! Duh!!

I got my first photography royalty!
$2.00
In 1983 dollars ( when I was a college student) that was two happy hour priced margaritas! Today ... hmm, maybe one serving of protein powder?
LOL
Rye (at her day job, in Texas) who is not planning to retire on her royalty checks anytime soon.10 -

It "removes flesh"???? Yikes. I think there was a Dr. Who episode dealing with that.

Thank you Lanette Loved the quote and printed it off to get me through this busy time. I am bone tired and a 3 week high season is stretching in front of me, somehow I will find my way back to living a healthier, more caring life.
Perhaps it just starts with letting go.

Rori- we visited Royal Gorge many times because when family visited they all wanted to go there. Enjoy your trip.
Machka- thinking of you. Just wondering if your husband has a sense of smell. Do you have a favorite perfume that he likes.
Heather- lovely picture.
Woke up this morning with fire alarm chirping. Put me in a bad mood. So I went to yoga and worked it all out. Lol

Just had the electrician here, and in all his 30 years, had never seen switched like ours! Two of the kitchen switches were dimmer switches, but not a knob but a switch like on and off. Asked him about the older plates on the electrical sockets, my vacuum's plug won't stay in them. He stated I needed to call the management company and schedule him out again. None of that, since you're here take a look at it kind of deal. Another way to nickel and dime the owner I suppose.
Made my list out for shopping tomorrow. You know when you eat healthy you have to shop more often. I am out of spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, salad kit, cottage cheese, tuna, fish, hearty bread, coffee, orange juice, yogurt, some hearty cereal and some dark chocolate!!
And that's all just for me! Let's wishes are ham slice, steak, a pork chop, a baking potato, poptarts, stuff for French Dips, and a lot other stuff!
Tonight's delight is steak again, and wild rice mixture. Yummy!
Hugs to each of yas! Thinking of those of you struggling. Wrap your arms about you. That's me!!

Too much going on, not enough words. Things are good, so don't worry. DH is doing much better and we're both happier. Gluten intolerance is manageable. Yay!!
