On the comment of shaving - after 9 major surgeries in 9 months, my right side no longer grows any hair, (legs, pits) however my left side still continues and needs saving every 3 to 4 weeks. The body reacts in different ways.
Holly - Welcome, it is easy to get lost in the chatter, but you need to stick your hand up> yesterday I cam e on and we had 130 posts since the previous day (whew - lots of reading)
Up today, sheets in the wash, stuff picked up cause the cleaner is coming, dishwasher on (the one drawer that works). About to take dogs out when cleaner arrives
Trish from OZ7 -
Karen in VA - are you back from the land of citrus and Phoenix?
Janetr - congrats on the new little one on the way! You and Marcelyn both have quite lovely broods! Love to see the big family photos!
Sharon - sending hugs. Glad spring has arrived (hope it stays!)
Heather - I'm crossing fingers your house deal goes through... sounds like there's a possibility things will get back on track
Rebecca - I am not surprised your DH gets pains from the surgery incision area. He's a tough fella if he can get over it fairly quickly. I was a weenie and needed a month (or more) from laparoscopic gallbladder surgery. And my belly button still hurts from time to time. And it was four years ago!
Kylia - hope your migraine is on the run. Sinus migraines are the worst - I hate taking anti-histamines because they dry me out too much. Vicks up the nose seems to work for me.
Barbie - love your white fence, it should last and stay in great shape for a long time. When we moved in here there was a huge white picket fence.... needed painting and the posts were starting to rot. So we got a black chain link put up. Kind of invisible out here in the boonies.
The bachelor buttons I planted a couple days have sprouted! Marigolds too! I think I see some of the phlox peeking up as well. Time to move them onto another heat mat and off the kitchen counter.
Our new neighbors should be moving in any day - coming up from Tustin, CA. Last Sunday I had Rosie out in the yard and a younger fellow (40's) was out walking in the pasture. Rosie started up with her yapping so I went over to meet him and apologize. He said he was taking his mom on a "tour" of her new place with his smartphone from her recliner in CA, so I got to talk to her a couple minutes. She said she has a couple Pomeranians so they'll fit right in. We have plenty of trees and bushes separating the lots here in our subdivision so normally our dogs can do their thing and not see other 4 legged furry beasts.
Hope everyone is having a good day--
Lanette

Hi y’all!
It’s raining again... I have been so sleepy today. Took a nap this morning and now, after dinner, I’m ready for another nap!
To just to let you know, I shaved the legs and pits today! Woo hoo!!
I’m down 5 pounds since last week! I know some is waterweight but I’ll take it!
So far so good! Keep on going and practice eating right, exercise and plenty of water.
Thanks for wishing Lisa the best and offering up prayers for her. Thank you.
Love,
Dana in Arkansas

We have beautiful weather today. The rest of the materials for the vinyl fence arrived and the fence builder has been busy. I worked in the yard a bit and got rid of a lot of weeds.
The woman who teaches the intermediate line dance class on Thursday has the flu so she asked me to teach the class. It took awhile to assemble the materials I needed for the class and practice some of the dances. It's a lot easier to dance in the back row than it is to be in front, provide instruction, and know that everyone is watching you and expecting that you won't make many mistakes.
Stats for today:
*19,000 steps
*189 minutes walking Bessie and Sasha
*84 minutes riding the exercise bike
*plank--one minute 30 seconds
*an hour working in the yard
*some dance practice
*shopping at Costco to buy only what was on the list and eating no free samples9 -

Some of you asked where in Oak Harbor I was, so this map shows generally the area. I live somewhere around that yellow dot!
Here was my dinner tonight. Spinach, walnuts, ceasear dressing, cucumbers, and steak grilled. It was yummy, but I have spinach metallic taste in my mouth!
Everyone group hugs!

DH and I just decided to take an inpromptu trip to a part of the state we have not seen before. Anyone been to the Royal Gorge near Canon City, Colorado? royalgorgebridge.com/plan-your-adventure/ We'll leave tomorrow after breakfast and be back Friday evening. Weather is supposed to be in the 60's. Yes, I'll definitely walk over the bridge, and the World’s Scariest Skycoaster has me intrigued.
Stay well, friends. We can do this.

Hi all! Weigh in this morning, up .6...... grrrr. My own fault, some water retention, but not watching what I was eating properly last week either. Trying to smarten up this week, have done well the past few days, just really need to do it one day at a time.
Had WAY too much catching up to do to make any comments!
The topic seems to be shaving, I did my pits last night, only do them every couple of weeks or so, my legs hardly have any hair on them anymore, so sparse that I'm getting my electrologist to give a few hairs a zap every now and again when I go get my face done. Yes, my leg hair seems to have migrated to my face..... I was at a friends one time, she was having a jewelery party (5th Avenue, if memory serves) anyway, there were a couple of older women there and one had such long hairs on her face they were curly! Kinda grossed me out (my problem, not hers) so I decided that I would NEVER let that happen! I have found a lovely lady who does great work and doesn't charge huge amounts of money, so glad I found her!
The weather here has been just absolutely beautiful the past few days! I got out and did a bit outside on Tuesday and on Monday I went to Butchart Gardens. Absolutely stunning out there, I tried taking a few photos, but they didn't turn out very well, kind of disappointed, but I will go again. They do a promo thing with our local paper, cut out the template, cut out the daily photo, when it's all filled out, you get a free admission. The whole promo time is about 2 weeks and then you have about 10 days to actually go. Hubby didn't want to go, so I went by myself and I have to say, while the admission was free, the gift shop was not!! lol I bought a lovely tea mug for myself and soon to be dil, we are both July babies, so that's what I got, plus got her some tea. Got hubby some slipper/socks that come halfway up his calf. He's been complaining that his feet have been cold, these things will solve that issue!
Dana, keeping your friend and her daughter in my thoughts. Machka, ditto for you and hubby.
Also thinking good thoughts for everyone else. Welcome to the newbies, hugs for those who need them and congrats to those celebrating!

Lanette, that's a high tech way to meet your new neighbors. Soon you can just teleport yourself next door and you might have a new walking buddy. LOL Wendy6

Oh yes, many times and I love it. It's breathtakingly spectacular no matter how many times you've seen it. You can feel the bridge sway a bit when you walk over if it's very windy.
Enjoy!!!

Karen: At least neither of us is alone in losing a post. :ohwell:
Heather: I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your health & for the sale of your home. :flowerforyou:
Barbie: It was a beautiful day here, too. Congratulations on the progress on your fence and the prep for your dance class.
Rori: We went on a railroad ride in that area several years ago, but ours was a kiddy ride compared to the photos you shared. I'll bet you and your DH will have a great time. Your photo is gorgeous. :flowerforyou:
We set up our drip watering system and turned it on for the season. We also set plants into the places we think they should be. There are a few that may be shuffled a bit tomorrow. All of my tropical fuchsias survived the winter tucked under shrubs outside. Some of them will likely be replaced with new fuchsias. It is really quite a surprise that tropical plants like they are have survived two winters here.
I think I've mentioned that DH has had some digestive trouble and his doctor put him on the FODMAP diet. The diet is helping! We had lunch at a Chinese restaurant here in town that has a reputation for being "Foddy Friendly." Our lunches were delicious and DH had no bad effects afterwards. WIN!
