A new fresh start this Spring!
It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve tried before... just brush yourself off and refocus with me.
We’re going to log what we eat, count the good bad and ugly, move more and lose weight! No food restrictions... just counting everything.
We can change our lifestyles together!

This is what I need to focus on. I lost 25lbs between Aug and Dec last year and then totally lost my focus and have put a good chunk of it back on. Back at it again as of last week!18 -
Welcome Tiff!
You can do this... and keep it off. We know what we can do, so let’s do it!

I like the title for this post
All the best everyone speaking from experience and at almost 5th year of being at maintenance, counting cals and moving more works a treat26 -
Thank you! You are such a great inspiration!3

Today went well. I’m under my calories, but unfortunately I only did 8 minutes if active exercise. Can’t complain!6

You did good and today is a new day4

Down a pound from yesterday... it’s always great to see a loss at the very beginning.
This morning I walked Roxie for 14 minutes of active exercise...felt great for both of us!4 -
It sure is lovely to see losses like that at the beginning, knowing they will settle down but it give great incentive all the same4

I am also working hard on not feeling guilty with food. Today for lunch I was CRAVING Chinese food, so I opted for a small Wonton soup. I logged it, and it fits into my plan!
I work so much better when no foods are off limits. Just control the portions. My craving is satisfied... no guilty feelings... and happiness all around.

I like how you think this plan will get you results8 -
Livingtheleandream,
What did you do to get where you’re at today?
What pointers do you have?2 -
2 days below my daily calories... feeling fine2

I started off wanting to lose just 20lbs, after years of yo yo dieting/gaining and losing the same pounds I knew this time things had to be different. I found MFP, started tracking my calories and moving a bit more. And it worked, slowly and surely the weight came off. It took me the best part of a year but that was ok, that was in 2013 and I haven't regained it, in fact I went on to lose another 10lbs and got to my dream goal weight of 123-125lbs.
I cut out no food groups, but watch my portion sizes, use a food scale and stay consistently within my calories. The odd day over my intake happens but in the big scheme of things those days don't set us back.
I also got into the habit of working out, and I still workout every week day morning - walk/cycle/lift weights.

Thank you so much for sharing, Ruth. You’ve really shown me that a healthy consistent lifestyle works.❤️. I’m so glad that you’re here, inspiring us all!5

Everyday I go home for lunch... so today I decided to have a 10 minute dance party. Talk about awesome stress relief! I think I can fit this in everyday... it’s so much fun to dance when no one is watching!12

I'm loving your posts you're having fun and that'll keep you at it1

Aw, you’re so sweet! Life is to short not to have fun!3

So wiped out tonight. I raked the lawn after dinner for about an hour. I have 86 minutes of exercise and 13,000 steps. I went over in calories from veggin in front of the tv afterward.
Snacking at night is tough for me. I’m usually cleaning up the kitchen and making lunches for the kids, so snacking is too convenient. I need to make lunches while I’m cooking dinner so I can be out of the kitchen quicker and be away from temptation.
All in all a good day.5 -
You had a really active day so you use tracker? Did you log your exercise? It's highly likely you still had a calorie deficit yesterday, that's the beauty of moving more.
This morning I'm up with the lark , have my strength training done and about to get on my bike - if i don't work out before work, it wouldn't happen at all.
Happy Thursday4 -
I love how you get your exercise done in the morning. I get in a half mile walk with my dog, Roxie. She never says no to exercise! Happy Thursday!1

If that's Roxie in the photo, she's a cutie and what better motivation to get up and going in the mornings - its a great start for both of you.1

That’s my Roxie! You asked if I used a tracker earlier. I’ve got a Fitbit Aria I think. Although it’s synced to MFP, it doesn’t show up in my exercise like it used to...0

hmm if it used to sync, I'm not sure why it now doesn't. You could try un syncing apps and then re-syncing again. That sometimes sorts it but there also could be syncing issues - if you check out the Fitbit forum here you'll maybe get some answers.

Morning Jill, and welcome @RonFrances8
Friday has arrived so I'll wish you a great day - good food choices and moving a bit more when you can all helps
And as usual, I've been up early and been on my bike

Ruth,
I love your commitment to morning exercise. It’s time for me to walk the dog and get my exercise started! I hope everyone has a great Friday!1
