Last week or so my husband came in from a trip to Lowes and asked me to come out to his car. In the front seat were two bags of concrete mix. He asked me to pick one up and I looked at him, laughed and said, "You know I can't lift that." Larry took me by the shoulders and said, "Do you realize this is almost exactly how much weight you've lost and why you were so sick." This morning the scale has moved below -60, so I thought I should share this nice visual with you. I feel great, am riding my bicycle over 45 miles this past week, and can only imagine how good I will feel when my other 60 pounds is gone.
Wow 60 lbs is my end goal, I am finding it s very hard slow process. What a great way to show you what you have accomplished. Did you lift it?2 -
I didn’t even try. But I did appreciate his teaching moment. I told him he better start carrying around those two bags so he can carry me when I lose the rest of my burden.3

You are such an inspiration!
Today is my fresh start day.... my goal is to lose a bag of concrete too!

I have to share this feel good moment with everyone. It is Lauryn's (my daughter's) facebook post today.
J is my grandson Jonah who is 6. Mick is my 2 year old granddaughter Michaela.
When the kids were getting me out of bed this morning, we were talking about what we were going to do today.
J: have breakfast, and.... wait what day is it?
Me: Wednesday
J: so we're going to Grammie's house
Me: yup.
Mick: Mimi house?!
Me: after lunch, and after nap time
Mick: no! Had big sleep!
Me: you had a big sleep, so you don't need a nap?
Mick: yup no nap. Go Mimi house.
I commented on it and said tell Michaela she needs to have a nap so she isn't grouchy when she visits. Lauryn told her and her response was: yeah Mimi best friend.
My heart grew today and my eyes welled up!1 -
How beautiful! You’re her best friend.1

Have disappeared for a while here. However I haven't given up on my goals. My weight has been on a bit of a yoyo for the past three weeks but I'm still trending slowing down so happy about that. I was training very hard for an attempt up Mt. Rainier in August. We made an attempt but weather and mountain conditions didn't cooporate so we turned back around 12000ft. Mountain isn't going anywhere, and it was very apparent it wasn't going to let us summit. Also my daughters first day of kindergarten was last week so we had lots to prepare for that also. Anyway it's been a busy month for me, hope everyone is doing well.0

Hi all!
Time to recommit to logging. What is your greatest struggle?
Jill0 -
My greatest struggle is being too obsessive with detail. When I can’t find the exact item to track or if I make a homemade item that isn’t exact on a food logging list I need to estimate rather than not logging.3

Today is a fresh new start!
My goal for the next 30 days is to:
Consistently log, exercise ( 10,000 steps), and plan meals.
September 10- starting weight- 222.2
October 10 —- goal 214.2

So far so good. Breakfast is logged!2

I'm glad I found your thread. Yesterday I ate over 20 Halloween mini bars.
Today, I had an apple instead. One day at a time.

Hot the grass mowed and kids rooms cleaned, and their bathroom. Ended yesterday with over 17,000 steps ... over 7 miles of movement. The scale was happy this morning. Down to 218.8 pounds. Woo Hoo!
What are you up to today? Have a Wonderful Wednesday!!

Back at it! 2 days in a row of logging, keeping under calories and getting over 10,000 steps. Who is with me?0

Friday’s are so hard. It’s pizza night at my house. I am proud that I had 1 slice and 2 cheese bread slices at Cottage inn. Next time only 1 cheese bread slice.
I need to move to burn calories. It’s time to fold laundry and dance!1 -
I love the great positivity in this thread! It's so refreshing. I'd like to be a member.0

Thatta gal, more cardio won't sort your core, lifting weights will though we can't spot reduce but every pound we lose will see our belly diminish - its usually the last to go. Your determination will see you through
Thanks for posting!1 -
Keeping at it... slowly but surely. Consistent tracking and exercise is the key. We can do this!0

I properly committed 5 days ago to logging and managed to start couch to 5k yesterday. Small steps for a long journey! Loving this thread.1

Not my greatest food today... but tomorrow is a new start .0

Feeling good Monday... despite rain.
Down 3.6 pounds since my restart 4 weeks ago today. When I log, the guilt disappears and I move forward.0
