    I've had quite the year (divorce, job change, weight loss) and I'm going to get a tattoo as a present to myself on Thursday. It will say "Love yourself first" on my ribs.

    I have 3. Just finished a sleeve on my upper left arm. Wish I could post a pic of it on here. I am talking to the artist about a right sleeve that comes across my chest a little and back of my shoulder.

    I'm 62 now. I got a tattoo when I was 20 under my belly button of an arrow pointing down. Tasteless? Yes! Did I cover it up? YES! I finally got a little Tinkerbell to cover it up. 40 years later it is all stretched out and is a messy blob!

    People think they are being so unique being coloured on by some "artist" when you see dozens of other people with exactly the same tattoos,

    Too many people go on a drunken trip to Bali and come back with the same ugly tribal tattoo.

    It is not finished yet since it is such a big piece. The big stars represent the 6 babies I gave birth to and the 3 little ones are the little Angels that I lost. Tacky, maybe......but it is the joy of being almost 40 years old, I care less and less what others think

    I'd love one, but at the moment I'm still waiting for the all clear from the doctor, as I'm on blood-thinners and no one is quite sure if it would end up being too messy. But I have designed one for when I'm finally allowed.
