I could be making this up, but I believe Coke Zero came about as a "manly" aka marketed toward men drink. Much like certain products are "feminine" aka this comes in pink now.

Coke Zero came out because Diet Coke/Coke Light doesn't taste like Coca-Cola. And people who like the sensation of chewing on sugary aluminum foil complained to Corporate.

Yeah, I'm a Pepsi/Mt Dew/Diet Coke drinker. Coca Cola is nasty.

I really don't like the taste of Coke Zero (or Coke). I love the taste of Diet Coke but less and less places here are stocking it now.

:'( Oh well I just have to drink beer I guess. I'm pretty sure that's zero calories too.

Coke/Coke zero/Diet coke all taste the same to me. I don't think I could even tell the difference between Pepsi and Coke if you held a gun to my head.
Apart from Diet coke with Mango, because that stuff is vile.

Just to put that part of the conversation to bed.

I can't tell the difference between Coke Zero and Diet Coke. I've even done a blind taste test and can't tell.

That's funny. I can totally tell - and prefer Coke Zero.

I'm thinking about walking down to the convenience store for a big ol' fountain Coke Zero with lots of ice now, thanks to this thread. o:)

For quick protein, I've really been enjoying the flavored eat out of the bag packets. I especially like the spicy ones as they're a little less dry than the peppered ones. I should pick up some more for my lunches next week.

I was thinking that they are often found at convenience stores. If you're actually going to guzzle a liter of fountain Coke Zero

I have a gelsons near me that has tab (zero cals) and ommmmggg it kills all the other diet products from coke lol! They should bring it back in terms of more availability. It’s so good.

I love Coke Zero! I was hooked on soda and cut out a lot of the sugar. I accidentally got a couple zero One day From a vending machine. I absolutely hate diet soda and I end up loving Coke zero so now it’s what I buy.
