Morning, back to reality. DD had a fantastic time hosting 6!girls while we were away for the weekend in Boston. They didn’t turn the place upside down in fact it looks even better than we left it
I have a day full of tedious, but important chores, but not as tedious as yours, Heather sorry about that.
Somehow, despite this heat, my win for the day will be getting to the gym, just not first thing today.
Love hearing about everyone’s travels and successes.

Hi friends. It’s time to start coming in to work once in a while! I have an online course starting today and so I have 2 live chat orientations.
We had 4” of rain Saturday night. This was on top of all the rain we already had. 10” so far this month and we are still below normal. Good grief.
WARNING: rant ahead.
Well not-so-DD#1 has really gone out of her way to be hateful. She wanted her Russian birth certificate so I said I’d look for it and the American one. Took about a week to find it, but I also got her naturalization papers and a letter from the president at the time congratulating her on citizenship. I told her (text) I could bring them over today or tomorrow. This was last week….no answer for days. I finally texted her and said do you want them or not? So she wants me to mail them. I tried to tell her why mailing these kind of documents is not wise, someone could steal her identity if they got lost. No answer for days. So then I said fine, I’ll mail, but I’m not sure of your zip code, please send it. No answer…..so I finally said I am not mailing these to you. You can come get them. Her response? “Fine, I don’t need them anymore. I have kids and I am busy and can’t be on my phone all the time”.
Also, my granddaughter broke her foot and I found out about it on facebook. I asked if she was ok, no answer. I have just had it. I’m done. I’ll set up savings accounts for the kids, but that’s it. I mean, who the hell acts like this?
So my goals for July are:
1. start back to exercising
2. lose 5 pounds
3. increase produce in diet
OK that is all I have time to write this morning; the first orientation session is coming up. Take care, meg from waterlogged Omaha

I'm back from visiting my daughter and grandies. Successfully completed the half marathon in atrocious weather conditions. Rain and a head wind blowing off the ocean. I was soaked down to my undergarments and had to steep myself in a hot bath afterwards to raise my body temperature back up. But got a nice medal! As well as a large blister, LOL. My leg muscles are still sore today.
Machka, great to hear that your hubby is at home and hope his progress speeds up in his own familiar environment. Will be less stressful on you to not have to go to the hospital all the time.
Barbie, love that pic of your poodle barking at herself in the mirror. Animals are so funny! And thanks again for keeping us all linked in cyber space! Pretty soon Lanette will have our transporters up and running and we can drop in on each other for morning tea, and then all go to Heather's for a proper six course dinner.
I played a joke on my husband when I got home. My youngest daughter is so excited because she is pregnant. She has been trying ever since the ectopic pregnancy emergency surgery six months ago. She gave me her positive pregnancy test stick and told me to pretend to my husband that I was pregnant. I showed it to him and he said, "You can't be!" and I said, "You must have grown back together-20% do," referring to his vasectomy. "But you can't get pregnant at 52!" "Oh yes I can, I still get my periods, " I said. "It must be yours because I haven't shagged anyone else!" "I want a DNA test to prove it's mine!" he said. I made him sweat for 30 minutes before I told him he's going to be grand dad again. LOL I was laughing so hard I cried! Wendy
That is hilarious!
My Dad had a friend that actually did have that happen, their youngest was in university when she became pregnant, he didn't believe her and left her. When the baby was born, she proved it was his and he wanted to take her back. She told him no.7 -

I don't understand why some children act that way. My friend who was diagnosed as bi-polar two years ago has the same type of issues with her 30 year old daughter. So disrespectful and rude. I keep telling her that when her that her daughter will regret it someday. I'm sorry you are going through this, it must be very difficult.

Machka - very interesting article - I am trying to visualize a policeman ready to arrest me when I pause in front of the snack cupboard when I ignore the "keep out" the sign, lol. Actually, I think a "this, not that" type of sign will appeal to my brain. More of a detour to healthier foods rather than being arrested for overindulging on sweets.
The only other thing I can add to having a caretaker in the house is make sure your $$ and other valuables, are secure - including identity information, passwords, prescription drugs, etc.
Wendy - congrats on new grand on the way! Hope all goes smoothly for her. Way to go playing a prank on your DH. Stranger things have happened, plenty of "menopause" babies out there!
Meg - (((HUGS)))) I wonder if your DD is coming up with this behavior all by herself or if she has others also pressuring her into it. We'll take a few inches of that rain out here, by the way if you can convince it to head west. We are going to be needing it in a few weeks I think.
Heather - oh, that freezer going out is one of my worst nightmares. We have actually had 2 fridges conk out during really hot spells - I was able to jam most of the frozen items into our little freezer in the garage and cook up a storm with the rest. It's getting packed with meat and raspberries/blueberries so I am crossing fingers it does OK this summer.
Michele - you are so right about our ancestors that ate fat. They never sat down, always busy doing physical activity it seems. I know getting lots of steps in and doing weight routine helps but it's not the same as really being active for most of the day.
Katla - your RV adventure sounds great! Enjoy the peace and quiet!
Pip - hang in there with the job and yes, updating your resume is a good pressure release. My last couple years of employment, I often sat down and made a list of pro's and con's for quitting/finding a new job. Pro's were getting away from dingy supervisors and co-workers, doing new tasks. Con's included possible lower wage, no seniority= back on probation for a while, questionable hours (I had some flexibility in my schedule), perhaps more stressful supervisors and co-workers, maybe ending up with tasks I detested even more than the ones I already detested, lol. So I chose to hang in there but as soon as I was eligible for my pension, whoosh!!!! I think I broke the sound barrier, lol.
That's the latest. Have a great weekend everyone! Welcome newbies!

Good morning ladies! No change with my daughter still doing IV antibiotic treatments at home. I will see her Monday and Tuesday of next week to take her into her appointment. We finish getting the house in cabin ready for the rentals. We are now in the process of getting our place set up at the lake resort. Not as easy a task as I thought it would be. I have to go through the other RV to get things for the new RV and then decide what we need to buy like extra kitchen equipment.
July goals
Exercise 6 to 7 days a week.
Eat keto diet unless at a special occasion.
Drink water.
Have a lot of fun!
Have a great day everyone!

Well ladies only up 1 lb now from May. June wasn't my best month, and having vertigo was a doozie on my energy. Its crazy how sore I was in my neck, shoulders and head. Its so nice to wake up with a refreshed feeling. This Thursday is my consultation with my surgeon on what they found in the scans they took. He will ask me how I'm doing and I will tell him, "worse than you, gone on vacation! Hope you had a good time, because me and vertigo didnt"! Hmm, too harsh?
Yesterday I hung pictures around son's living room. He just doesn't have time and I asked him if it was ok 👌. I also pulled weeds for a bit! I'm a wee bit bug phobic, so this is a great first step for me! When I was a little girl I remember walking out side looking one way and seeing a bug, then screaming and looking another way and seeing a bug and screaming. So I was just starting here and there screaming, until I would just go back inside. Crazy, but I still look intently at my environments!
Here's so pics of his side of the house. He likes Asian prints!
Going to exercise with husband.....at the gym...😋

Hi again,
Pausing to draw breath.
House full of flies, that have come in from the fields of horses around us, because they can smell the meat cooking! I've cooked 3 lbs of ground beef and got that in the freezer to make future meals. Cooked 6 sausages for cold lunches. Cooked and frozen 4 duck legs for cold lunches. Cooked and frozen 1 lb of chicken thighs for cold lunches. I will cook lamb tomorrow for dinner and also make something with the rest of the chicken thighs, maybe spinach and lentil mix for curry. Tonight we are using up the sea bass. Phew! It is also the hottest day of the year.
Added to that I had to drive to get my prescription and then back into town to buy food and go to the tekky shop, who haven’t managed to download my corrupted micro card. He has never seen that before. So I am also trying to resurrect my offline play lists and photos. Not managing to get stuff off Dropbox and into Album. Play lists going ok.
I did my normal exercises this morning, but I think all this dashing about and cooking will have to count as my bonus exercise.
Be back in a moment.

Rebecca Love all your photos especially the one with your sister.
Heather Ugh about freezer. Hope you can salvage the food. I guess you would be emptying it soon for your upcoming move anyway.

I reported the wrong age for Phoenix. He is 10 weeks old. Here's a pic of him with Olivia, who is 16 months:

Thanks Barbie. Here we go again girls.
Re. So happy to get an update. You look fab! Can’t believe your garden didn’t burn up in all the heat. We are actually in Dallas leaving today for a cruise of Scandinavia and Russia.
Hope to check in regularly so I don’t get too far behind.

The good news is the house stuff is proceeding.
Estate agents sent details, photos and a floor plan, plus asked us for identity proof. Got the identity proof in the post and here are a few pics and a floor plan. The floor plan is not completely correct in that the short wall between the kitchen and the new dining extension does not exist. Don't know why they've drawn it in. I've always wanted a dining extension like that.
Love Heather UK xxxxxxx
PS - We will be using the dining room as the living room, as they do, as it is seamless with the kitchen/diner. The living room will be our gym/exercise room. We couldn't fit our three big machines into the small bedroom and still get the water tank cupboard open. It'll be nice to exercise in there in the morning as it's east facing. Should be room for a few other things.
I'm still very excited and can't wait. Really, really, really hope it happens this time.

Our new phones are coming today. Then will begin the terrifying job of activating them and transferring all the important stuff from the old phones to the new ones and then learning how to use the new ones that will be similar but not exactly the same. Not as terrifying as buying a new house and moving but containing similar elements.5

Barbie I hope the phone transfer isn't too bad. The transfer between my last 2 phones was painless. The process seems to have improved with time.
Heather I love your house!

Feeling very proud of myself! I went to the gym, doing all the circuit weights, and walked 3.0 pace for 30 minutes. It might not seem like much, but its a step in the right direction. Then husband wanted to go to our favorite pizza place. We ordered sodas, and I got an iced tea. Then he asked me what I wanted, and I was honest and said I'd rather just fix my taco salad I had scheduled. I had no problem with watching tennis that was on, and sip my tea. He said, " I don't want to have you sit and watch, while I eat my pizza, I'll take it to go". I didn't cave and just eat pizza, and we both were happy.
Yeah me!

Love your house Heather!! Keeping fingers crossed it all goes smoothly!💗
Meg hugs!!
Barbie I hope your digital transition from one phone to the other goes smoothly, and with too many colorful metaphors!
Mary, he's already telling me changes, but no worries, nails and tacks can be moved. Sending you positive thoughts for your DD and DIL💟😇👍👍.

I’m sitting on the back deck listening to the thunder. It’s been rolling on for a good 30 minutes. It must be cloud to cloud lightening. I never see a lightning strike at all.
The last time I transferred from one phone to another I went online and entered the numbers and in a couple of minutes it was done.
I was at the Y swimming today with the grandkids. I swam for an hour and did arm exercises in the water using dumb bells made for the pool. That was well over 500 calories burnt up! It was lots of fun and I met a few more women down there too. Yeah me!
Phoenix is a doll!! So’s the mama’
I guess I’ll head for inside. It’s getting more humid out here!
Have s great evenning!
