Over the last 30yrs gravity has stolen an inch of height from me.

YES this! :( I used to be 5'10" and maybe 1/4" but last time my height was measured I was a hair under 5'9". I told her it couldn't be. :/ Way to mess with my goal weight people.

I’m more likely to talk about the dumb things that I do than complain about other people, except when it comes to driving.

Although I do not enjoy cooking for myself at all, I am a pretty good cook.
    Southern foods anyway.
Sometimes I miss cooking for my ex and son.
    They both loved my cooking.
For me, it is very satisfying feeding people.

I'm scared of heights, but routinely do things which force me to face them. I'm still terrified that a fall is the way I'll die.

90% of my scars from injuries or biopsies are on my left side.

My mother was manager of a video game arcade from the time I was 4-12 and this was what first influenced my philosophy on life and the tendency to feel like I continually have to reach the next level...and playing Frogger for hours on end every Saturday helped me to excel at driving. I'm almost 45 and have never been in a car wreck!

As I've gotten older I've learned to tolerate dings, scratches, and small bends in my car from people carelessly running into it.

I have my own broken bones and scars, so my car doesn't need to be different.

if i ever have to go up or down an escalator for any reason, im still terrified that my shoe is going to get stuck at the end and i'll get sucked into the escalator and shredded up into tiny pieces along with a massive spray of blood as horrified people watch on.

adult me thinks that's a pretty metal way to go actually.

but child lizard brain me still finds it a bit concerning and opts for the stairs when possible.

Yes, I always have a little thrill of unreasonable fear when I get on and off an escalator! 😳

Yeh, but you'd get your 15 minutes of fame!
And people have died due to escalator accidents. :(

I call the horsey in chess a horsey just because pretentious men get mad about it 😊

    That's not called a horsey? 😏

My dad sometimes called it cavallo

    Which means horse 😂

How high can you go without being afraid?

I am a bit OCD about being on time.

I’ve decided it’s because we were late to EVERYTHING when I was a kid.
Everyone staring at cha when ya walk in. 🙄
My mom still can’t get anywhere on time.

Can relate. 15 minutes early == on time.

It’s not the fall it’s the sudden stop you need to worry about

Is there a club for this? I have arrived at so many appointments 15+ minutes early and they give me a look so I always have to inject "I know I'm early but...." It's not like I expect to be seen any earlier but what would happen if I had a flat tire on the way or ran into a tree or something?
I hate walking into a workshop or meeting or family affair that's already in full swing. You're being watched, judged, have to find a seat and there might not be any....It's just so stressful. :) All this from an introvert.
