@MadisonMolly2017, What is your height again? 5'8" - 5'8.5" ? I'm 5'7.5" and a normal weight range for me is 135 lbs - 155lbs. So maybe your range is around 5lbs up? I say, get as low as you can and still be healthy, it's all good! Of course I want the lower number, but I GUESS I can accept 140. Lol. I went up and down that weight range until after my 2nd pregnancy at 33yo. Then I jumped to 165 and stayed there for 10 years.
And CONGRATS! on your weightloss!
@heymossy, Clothing is always the pivotal point isn't it? Keep up your good work, you'll be down a few sizes in no time.

Need to get my life together. I did so good last year, I got close to my UGW (160), but got lazy with my eating habits in january. Its crazy how much diet affects weight loss. While i was still strength training and in the gym, I was eating trash and not logging or tracking and to no ones surprise I gained about 10lbs. I'm just going to call it at a "bulk" and get my *kitten* back on track to my UGW. These challenges helped me a ton last year and im hoping for it to do the same again.
Short term goal weight - 180 lbs then i'll get myself new workout clothes )
Goal for this round - lose 2lbs!

8/16- Did to much outside, and made my face swell I am having a hard time cutting down from steroids. Walking helps alot!
8/17- My steps were down today. Lack of sleep has been hard on me. I start my cut backs again so I don't take one steroid today and then tomorrow I take one they are very hard on me. I can hardly wait to be done with them.

A good day. Tracked everything, made good choices with my lunch compared to what I would normally get. Was mindful with my eating and talked to a friend of mine who is a big source of support. Planning my meals for tomorrow so I don't get tempted at work!

Good day overall where my food is concerned. Realised it was TOTM today (ugh) but stayed away from all temptations! I sometimes forget I'm doing this properly so nearly have a lapse in memory and head to the snacks! So far so good though. Day 4 of healthy eating completed.. feeling grateful!

8/16 85.6kg (+0.1kg) That's really fine after a 7 ounce lost overnight! I'm thinking of slowing down the weightloss, since I don't need to loose too much more weight (about 6kg/13lbs). On the other side, things go well and it isn't very hard on me to eat less. So not sure yet. I'm leaving in 4 weeks on a 3 week trip to Botswana and Namibia in Africa. Maybe I'll just continue till then the way I do now and slow down after the my vacation.... And how knows...... maybe I just don't wanna stop at 79 kilo's

Looking for a general downward trend. Really focused on my logging, and on clean eating, and MOVING more - which is what I love - it gives me ENERGY!
I am SO SO determined!! I 100% NEED to stay mindful about my daily logging and being mindful about what I eat and drink. I need to get into the HEALTHY BMI band.
This is a long term thing, a few bad days or weeks is something I'm getting better at coping with.

8/16 72kg - almost within cals yesterday, walked 12k steps, but no other exercise. Skipped my run this morning as I needed the extra hour in bed after a bad night. Work takes priority this week before holidays
8/17 - 71 whoosh! It could be 70.5, but I don't want to get overly excited yet. Within cals yesterday, walked 11k steps and went for a short run this morning, only 20mins as per my 5-10k plan.
I had been planning to only eat back half my exercise cals back, but I struggle with that.
8/18 71kg despite some self-sabotaging emotional eating yesterday as I had to say good bye to a very good friend who is leaving London. I ended up not logging after 4pm
Today I'm flying home for the week and have sister's birthday party this eve. I'll have digital scales on some days, but logging will be a challenge as well as not completely indulging in all the foods

8/16 - 256...did fairly well yesterday, stayed just under calories and had a good amount of water. Only went for one small walk though. I'm not good in heat and it was hot and humid here..my body was feeling extra heavy and tired because of it. I had a huge craving for ice cream before bed but managed to keep myself from having it...yay! Lol
8/17 - 257.2...was not able to keep from having my cravings yesterday. Went quite a bit over in calories and had a lot of salty and sweet. TOM came around though so the cravings make sense. No exercise at all yesterday either, it was just too hot and humid, and my little guy has the flu so it was a lazy day. Back on track again today though.
8/18 - 256...did water fitness in the morning and weight training and cardio at night. Ate all of my calories plus about 1/2 of my exercise ones.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

8/16 - 180.0 lbs Good start 😊 Had to go 80 calories over my goal yesterday long after I had finished my diary, I was feeling really hungry.
8/17 - 181.0 lbs (+ 1.0) It is SO hard for me to get past 180. I don’t get it.. What do you want from me body? I was very thirsty when I wake up, so I actually drank a lot of water before weighing. I usually weigh on an empty stomach.
8/18 - 180.2 lbs (- 0.8) I think it’s hard because I’ve been around this weight for many years.. So it just doesn’t come off that easy. Is that a thing? I can’t wait to see 175, then I’ll know that I am over this hard phase and that it’s actually possible to lose more.

8/16 203.7 Got my steps in. Was mindful of what I ate, only took a small piece of the birthday treat someone brought in. No late night bingeing. Was going to exercise, had all good intentions at work but when I got home didn’t happen.
8/17 201.9 Yes!!!! Large weight loss hopefully yesterday's number was high and this number is correct. Very hopeful that the first number may be replaced by a 1. It has been years.

I was stunned to see this number this morning! It's the lowest I've been in probably 3 decades (though I was just slightly more 2 years ago, before I did a metabolism reset). I don't know that it will stick -- my calories were artificially low yesterday as I had to fast 12 hours for early morning blood work -- but still!!! It's a rainy Friday here, but I'm hurting slightly less and feeling much more hopeful after seeing the integrative doctor yesterday. I'm hoping to work on my home (only!) office today and then shop for a standing (adjustable) desk -- I'm finally feeling like getting back to work on my next book. Have a lovely weekend, all!

At least back into the 125’s. Off work this weekend—got lots of chores to do. Planning on tackling the basement and at least making a dent down there. Will be strict with calories today as tomorrow is a planned indulgence day.13 -
Friday we game late so I budgeted for my starbucks to keep me up. The one thing I can't stomach yet is black coffee. Looking into some sort of at least lower cal options. At least budgeting works!

I'm trying to lose 1.5 pounds a week. I find even though I have a decimal scale, if I round up the smaller fluctuations don't bother me as much. Final goal is 145 (100 pounds less than starting weight) but according to the military when I was in, way back when, I have a smaller bone structure(no big boned excuse for me) and my ideal weight is 115! I am only 5'2" and actually weighed 120-125 when in and I do recall a bit of extra cushion back then. But I was also muscular and I thought I looked just fine in that swimsuit, but again, now I'm 52. 145 first. Then we'll see.

8/16- 222.0 Weighed at regular time this AM. Holding steady. Work function today and made poor food choices. Definitely will reflect on the scale in the morning.

8/16 290 Day one- Great start, High protein/low carb works for me.
8/17 282.2 - 7.8 lbs Combined first two days fluid loss.
8/18 280.0 – 2.2 lbs Switched off caffine diet soda to clear caffine free soda water. Good day at the gym but its always my toughest to stay with it on a regular basis. I wish I really enjoyed going. Maybe I should take up swing dancing! Yeah right!! One day at a time...... So far all is good.
