    Greetings people! My Physical education teacher introduced this website to us today. I personally found this very motivational for it sets discipline, records, and plans pertinent to what we shall reduce/maintain/gain when it comes to our physical health. I'm starting to work on it today and I look forward to sharing my success with you all soon.

    Very new to tracking calories and macros etc so I'm looking forward to learning and seeing what result it can have on my body. I have alot of fat to lose and muscle to grow. This time last year I had a new born 2 month premature baby who was still in hospital and recently I had knee surgery, so all that mixed together equals one out of shape mama. I'm excited to get into some good habits see some positive changes.

    Wow! How did you stay motivated the entire time? Motivation is something that I struggle with. Not at first, but when I mess up one day, I feel like I have to start from scratch :(

    Also, I'm new to MFP and would love to have a support group that can hold me accountable. Right now I'm on a basic calorie deficit with long walks here and there.

    Sorry just seen your comment now. Honestly I just told myself to persevere for the first 2 weeks. And when I seen my first SMALL results I knew it was working just gotta keep going for another 4 weeks to see the next results and each time there were bigger better results. 1 slip up won't undo all your hard work. I figured if I slipped up, ill reset start again the next and focus. And honestly that's all I keep doing. Then I start seeing muscle definition I never knew I had and that motivates me .

    Hi, I am a big girl and after many years of never being near a doctor have now got some issues so I now feel like a fixture and fitting (not good when you have a doctor phobia!) I am going to have a go and see what I can do. This app seems like it will be a big help. I am a fussy eater. I really don't like healthy food, but the idea is eat less than you burn and you will lose yep? I have set up a target. The app has given me a daily calorie count.. I can do this. Just please dont expect me to talk about super healthy foods. I think (hope) that if I can eat the foods I like in moderation and cut out some of the excess rubbish it can only go one way (cant it?)

    Hey ya'll! I am 57 yrs old and moved from Florida to New Zealand 2 yrs ago. I lost anout 35 pounds in the girst 6 months with ease and then didnt lose more...or rather didn't try anymore. I havent gained it back thank goodness bit not losing either so...here I am again. Gonna do it with support this time so HERE I AM!!!! Im in pretty good shape other than overweight...lol. No longer need bp meds but need a kick in the butt to get going. Good luck me and all ya'll too!!
  • Hi, I'm not new to mfp, but I'm staring again, and looking for some friends. I'll keep my diary open, and I love looking at what others are eating too. Nothing wrong with closed diaries I just enjoy the sharing! I'm a 43 yr old mom of 2 and I'm 5'2" and have 15 more lbs to go.

    Hello everyone. Im started running a couple of months ago to lose weight and aproach 50 with vegenance. Ive already lost 20lbs but want to lose 5 or 10 more and then switch to some type of crossfit to add muscle. Oh and also i made myself enter a 5k that is this weeekend that has motivated me to train.

    Hey, y'all. I am a 32 year old mother of 5 from Tennessee. I am currently working on becoming a healthier me. I began 6 months ago when I stopped smoking. I am now looking to lose 100+ pounds in the next year. I have already made drastic changes to my diet and stopped drinking soda. I also joined the gym today! I am pretty much a loner with the exception of my spouse, children and my mother (she isn't local, but we talk daily). I really need an accountability partner and someone who has similar goals in mind. I'm new to MFP, but would lo e to make a few friends for encouragement.

    Introducing myself...add me if you’d like...I started using MFP when I saw a picture of me eating 3 entrees for lunch and another picture of me at South Lake Tahoe and I was astounded at how bad I looked. I was eating 6000 calories per day and not exercising. Almost took pride in how much I ate every day. Decided I had to make a change and didn’t tell anyone. Just started logging every food and drink I consumed and have been extremely disciplined in running and working out. Run, lift, run, lift, eat smart. Repeat. Well...here I am, 116 days later, and I’ve reached my first goal!!! I’ve dropped 50.5 to go from 241.6 to 191.5 and I’m starting to see the muscle definition in my body that I haven’t seen since the early 90s! I feel great, hoping I look great, and this journey has just begun for me! Add me as a friend if you like and let’s get healthy together! Have a great, healthy, and inspiring day!

    Looking near the end of 2019 one month into my fitness journey, Stumbled across this group today and I have to say I love the idea so here goes nothing, my goals for the remaining months of 2019:
    -Down to 270lbs Currently 284lbs
    -Keep up my 5 days a week of excessive.
    -Start a more cardio focused routine to work towards a 5k foam run this summer.
    -Produce original and quality posts on my website www.fattysguide.com
    -Use my social media platforms as a positive space for people to goto for motivation!
    I am looking forward to getting to know you guys LETS FINISH 2019 STRONG

    I decided to make some friends here at MFP. I can play Guitar, Bass, Drums and Piano. I love Clint Eastwood movies. I'm a really good sketch artist. And I'm interested in Wars. And I'm only 12 years old.
