Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 185.5 Stuck in the depths of a living hell with my scale, however, I successfully stayed on course with my diet and exercise plan. I am THRILLED to report that my son joined me in the aerobic dancing and agreed to follow his special diet plan WITHOUT COMPLAINT. Because of his eating disorders (due to the Autism) I felt truly inspired. If he can do this so gracefully, so can I. And so I succeeded in all my efforts. I just wish the scale would budge. Metimucil tonight for sure (Intermittent Fasting today). I am going to skip pool tonight. It is a potluck feast and I’ve had enough of those in December to stuff a pig : ) I need this good jumpstart to get things going. I also need to return the gesture and be the inspiration that my son deserves. Good luck everyone on #64.
01/04 185.4 It’s a small change, but a change nonetheless. Last night I invited my old friend Joey over to watch Christmas movies. I really wanted to enjoy the last of the twinkling Christmas Tree and to show myself that life is good even when I cannot indulge or overeat. He constantly claims to be “on a diet” and is using the calorie counting method only. He asked me if he could bring icecream or popcorn for a snack during the movie. I told him no. Please eat before he comes as I am restarting my plan, am struggling with willpower and need to stay on track to get my body jumpstarted. He showed up with a share-sized bag of some type of chips (looked like maybe a flavored Doritos ?) and soda pop. I told him that if he wanted to go home and finish eating before he comes (like I asked) to go ahead, he could come back in awhile. Otherwise, I asked him to put his food in the car. I told him he could keep the soda if necessary or I had water and some sugar free options available. He kept the soda. I was a little ticked about the whole thing and was brutally honest with him. I’m not sure if it was sabotage, selfishness or stupididy, but I know I was very clear that I didn’t want to have any snacking while I’m still very fragile. It was only 2 hours and I knew he could have came pre-fed. I had already explained to him about how eating carbs so consistently through the holidays put me in a state of cravings, weakness for carbs etc. I spent the evening trying to be nice in spite of my feelings. While he sipped on his soda I made myself a miracle tea. My own homemade concoction of green tea, lemon, ACV, stevia, red pepper flakes, turmeric powder with a touch of black pepper for absorption, and I added a bit of parsley sprigs to it while steeping. It felt like an exotic drink and I enjoyed it. I let it calm me and help me get over my touch of anger. We watched “The Christmas Chronicles” with Kurt Russell which was better than I expected. In the end I was proud of myself for staying strong and showing up for myself. I’ve known him many years so that did help. I am not strong like this everyday, but I truly want to stay strong in my own home & environment as that is where I spend 80-90% of my time (I work from home). Sorry for the rant, but how dare he?
01/05 185.4 AGAIN. A little disappointed in this. I walked 5.5 miles yesterday including a planned walk inside the school of 2 miles. Ate way below calories at 977. Net carbs of 19. Over 12,000 steps. I was a little low on all my macros because my calories were a bit too low. However, for the amount of calories I ate, my protein, fat etc was right in balance with my goals. I guess I will just have to wait it out. My body’s a little angry with me right now perhaps. Walt Disney and Cinderella taught me long ago not to worry, my whoosh will come true at some point
01/06 184.6 I’m in the red! I’m in the red! I’m showing a loss! Now if I was in the in the red in the stock market (again) I’d be a little worried, but in my weight?, HOW SWEET IT IS! In fact, it is sweeter than all the desserts I could imagine today! I love it when I’m feeling so strong & capable! Happy Sunday everyone.
01/07 183.6 Moving back down the way I moved up in December. It’s going well. I do Keto, but I also track my CICO as @quiltingjaine mentioned. I intermittent fast 16:8 at a minimum. Now, if I could just be more consistent with my water intake!
01/08 183.3 Still inching down. I haven’t taken my measurements in awhile because of the holiday gain. I hope to feel comfortable enough to do that again soon. I have a short out-of-town trip tomorrow which will not require restaurants. Whew! Thursday is another trip which will run from early morn until very very late at night. Probably two restaurants so I am trying to mentally strengthen myself starting today to make some decent choices. No matter, I am sure there will be a bump up on Friday due to water retention, but I can combat that with Tish’s triple threat Tea. Nice & warm & comforting on a cold blistery Northern Michigan day!
01/09 183.6 A very late dinner last night which included a few starchy veggies in the stirfry mix. Calories were good, carbs a little high. Not enough water. Walked 2 miles at the school. Travel tomorrow. Inspired today. Emotional day overall, in a good way. I feel like I need to take control of my life, and I feel like I can actually do it.

After long haul flights and plane/airport food yesterday. Back to work, the gym and logging everything that passes my lips today.
01/03 72.3 (-0.5) 1544
Good day yesterday, ate what I logged, went to the gym and didn't give in to cravings in the evening. I've decided not no eat back my exercise cals, so I'm logging them as just 1 cal.
Is anyone doing Yoga with Adriene's Dedicate? I meant to start today with day 1 as the video isn't available until I leave the house in the morning, but then found it was too long for the time I had available, so did an old one instead.
01/04 71.9 (-0.4) 1557
I like this trend, hopefully it'll continue through this round back to below 70k. Yesterday went ok, I mostly stuck to my pre-logged food. I did have one piece of sweet I had brought back for my colleagues (it was a 130cals!), but changed my dinner from pasta to salad. I also ate the last of a few cereal bars I had from my trip, which were also high calorie. In the evening, I decided not to go shopping or to the gym or communicate with various people, but take time for myself and start with Dedicate Day 1. It was great! This morning, I did Day 2 and will also go to the gym tonight. I'll also do a healthy food shop. I remembered today that I had started eating bigger portions to curb the snacking, I'll get back to that from this evening. And I also looked at my macros and again noticed I need to up my protein, which I seem to always struggle with.
01/05 71.0kg (-0.9) wild guess: 2400??
I think this is all water weight, which i'm shedding with help of Tish's parsley/cucumber water. I can even see how my feet are no longer swollen.
Yesterday was good, stuck to my eating plan, went shopping, went to the gym. I spent the evening on the sofa and really wanted wine and all the snacks, but stuck to tea and my prelogged snacks. Today, started with yoga, which was sweatier than expected, had a filling and late breakfast and now have to do some work. I plan to either go for a walk or to the gym for a walk on the treadmill later.
01/06 71.0kg 1587
My plan didn't work out as I helped a friend, who's been having a *kitten* time, and that help came in form of going for food and drinks. I was relatively mindful, but even a few beers meant I went way over cals. I didn't walk or run, partly also due to the rain and also didn't do much of my work. Today was supposed to be my more "relaxed eating" day as i'm meeting another friend. But now i'm about to rush to the gym, squeeze in some work and then meet my friend... not the Sunday I had in mind.
01/07 71.0kg again (+-/0.0) 1468
That's not what I wanted. Good day yesterday, didn't turn out as hectic as I thought, which was nice. My legs were tired, so didn't run as much as I wanted to, but walked instead. After the gym, I weighed 70.5kg. Then went for coffee&cake with my friend and fit in a brownie without eating back my exercise cals. I have officially eaten the last snacks at home and I'm going to try not to buy any more. Fruit and tea for late night snacking now and if I manage to stick to it until Fri, there will be a reward in form of a bagel or cake from this nice shop.
Today, started with Yoga, all my food is planned and I will to go to the gym. I was gonna write 'want to go/plan to go', but decided it's not optional, so I will go. I was speaking to a friend on the phone yesterday and talking abut weight and exercise etc. And I realise that my legs and bum have gone quite wobbly and it must be due to the lack of walking here. So I know, once back in the UK, this will change again, but it's really annoying. I will increase my treadmill walking, but I can't make up walking around 5-7km every day, just through my commute and a little extra.
01/08 71.3kg (+0.3) bahhh 1442
Hm, I did not expect a gain, but I am feeling very bloated, soft and chubby. But maybe, this is the actual gain from the year end showing... Either way it needs to go!
I ran 35mins on the treadmill in one go yesterday eve, the longest treadmill run so far, and spent a total of 80mins on there. Today i'll go again and will just walk, depending on how interesting my podcast is, i'll do at least 60, if not 90 mins. I did have a late, slightly salty dinner last night, so maybe that's part of the cause for my gain. Also just saw on my app that TOM is due in a few days, so that may be the other part. Once that's done I plan to feel all nice and slender
4 more days to get back below 70.0, just have to sweat it all out and not go crazy at a lunch with colleagues on Friday. I'm quite motivated to keep up the treadmill work because I have 3 weeks until my husband arrives and I want to be below the weight I was when I left, which was 71, grrr.
01/09 71.2kg (-0.1) 1539
I stayed up way too late, reading on my phone, so getting up was a challenge and late, so no time for yoga, I will do it tonight.
My macros finally look better for yesterday! But I'm still incredibly bloated, treadmill didn't really help. Went for a 55mins walk plus 20mins elliptical. Then had a healthy dinner. I did have almonds and biltong for a snack, but well within my cals so I'm not counting those an LNS. It was late and a snack, but kinda part of my dinner.
Today, my food is planned, I will not go to the gym but just do my yoga in the eve. I also need to catch up on some work, which i want to do from my sofa.
01/10 71.2kg
Oh come on, this is getting on my nerves now. So I'm definitely retaining some water, my feet look chubby. I suspect it's from my salty dinners (haloumi). I managed not to snack beyond biltong and almonds again last night. I kept thinking I want that bagel on the weekend, that I promised myself as a reward. So far, I haven't touched the popcorn I bought 2 days ago. I logged it and then deleted it again because I decided not to have it.
I managed to do two yoga days in the eve, which was nice. Today, I started with yoga, but I'm still very tired as rain woke me last night around 2.30 and I keep dreaming about work. Tonight, back on the treadmill for a run. Two days ago I wrote I'm motivatex, so I need to not let frustration overshadow that!12 -

01/05: 235.5. I ate 1700 calories and did 2 hours of exercise (lifting weights and walking).
01/06: 235.5. 1900 calories for the day. Walked for 90 minutes.
01/07: 235.0. I consumed 1900 calories. Lifted weights for 40 minutes and walked for 90 minutes. I'm still going higher than planned on calories, but it's still below maintenance along with a good amount of exercise.
01/08: 234.5. I'm glad to see a downward trend with my weight. It's been awhile since I've seen that. Around 2200 calories today because I ate at an Italian restaurant. I walked for 90 minutes and completed a 35 minute workout so I was still in a deficit.
01/09: 235.0. 2000 calories today. 35 minutes of weight lifting and 90 minutes of walking.

01/07 - 133.3 (worked out, ate low carb, could've definitely done better on portion control)
01/08 - 131.7 (ate pretty clean, limited portions, didn't work out though. Struggling to get enough water. Aim to do better on this front tomorrow.
01/09 - 131.1 (ate clean, limited portions, drank >3l of water and worked out. Only manage 20 mins of a 30 min workout though. Aim aiming for a minimum of 30 min of work out every week day because outside of that my lifestyle is very sedentary.)

Round 54
SW - 242lbs
GW - 238lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 - 240.5lb - expected to lose some water weight from the kind of food I’ve been eating but also expect to lose some as TOM is due in next few days so I normally a lb or two with that. Getting back on track with healthy eating and putting all the festivities behind me
01/04 - 240.1lb - I’ll take this
01/05 - 238.25 - TOM started yesterday so water weight coming off and that combined with good deficits. Still feeling quite disappointed with a gain over Christmas however atleast its coming off quickly and not as bad as it first appeared. If this weight sticks I will set a new goal for this round.
01/06 - 239lb - slight fluctuation. Met with my family last night and they suggested doing a weekly weigh in again, this was how I actually became motivated to lose weight back in September and it worked well for a few weeks but then people dropped off and eventually it was just me doing it. I definitely find the accountability helps me but then find it really hard when others are on and off to keep myself on and not just join them if that makes sense. We will see how it goes 😅
01/07 - 237.85lb - slowly coming back off. I think I’d like at least another lb off by the end of this round so going to set a revised goal of 236.5lb.
01/08 - 237.1lb - I’m happy it’s moving but obviously this is all work I’d already done and then redone so not quite the same feeling about it. Will be happy when I’m hitting new lows again
01/09 - 236lb - - hopefully this number sticks around as that’s my goal for this round.
01/10 - 235lb - very nearly back to pre-Christmas low (233.8lb)

Day/Weight/Comment
01/06 - 73.9kg This is my starting weight and the heaviest I have ever been without being pregnant! Today is the day this stops. Hoping to see a 1 kg drop by the end of this session. I know I can do this, I just have to get my head in the right place and keep in mind why I want to lose this weight.
01/07 – 73.4kg Ate pretty well yesterday, though still slightly above target. I was planning on exercising while my daughter was doing her gymnastics training, but I got involved with setting up and unpacking her new gym. I guess in a way that was exercise since I was carrying boxes and walking around a lot. I plan on doing a lot of exercise today though, including an hour of Zumba and an hour of adult gymnastics.
01/08 - 72.6kg Ate really well and stayed slightly under calories. I also got over 1000 calories worth of exercise. Plus, one more day alcohol free!
01/09 – 72.5 kg Ate a lot of salt yesterday in the form of McDonalds and popcorn. I am trying to make this a lifestyle change, not a diet, so I allowed myself to have the McDonalds I always have, but made sure I tracked it. Due to the fact that everything else I ate that day, minus the late night popcorn, was healthy, I manage to only go over my calorie goal by a little bit. I am actually quite proud of myself for this accomplishment.
01/10 72.6 - I am not surprised by this. Had migraine yesterday and slept until 11. I didn’t manage to get any workouts in and I took the easy route and ordered pizza for the family for dinner. I also had popcorn again while watching tv with my hubby. I think the popcorn eating is something I am going to have to work on, since I am eating it only because we are watching tv and I want it, not because I am hungry. However, I still managed to stay right at calorie goal. Hopefully with enough water, mindful eating and an easy workout today I can shed this little bit of gain so I can finish this round at goal.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 - 243.8...We had blizzard like weather yesterday so it was an in the house day. Managed to stay within calories, drink 125oz of water, do a walking video and shovel some snow.
01/04 - 242.4
01/05 - 242.0...walked for about 30 mins yesterday while shopping. Under calories and 75 oz ot water.
01/06 - no weigh in. Had a really bad day yesterday, and learned that my biggest food trigger is anger. I ate until I was sick and still feeling sick this morning from it.
01/07 - 241.0...stayed low calorie yesterday, under 1000 (mostly because I was still to sick to eat much) Did about 30 mins of walking and had 100 oz ot water.
01/08 - 241.6..went out for supper yesterday but kept it within calories, did water aerobics, helped my mother move a bunch of stuff and had 100 oz of water. Either up from sodium in supper or because it's a 3hr earlier weigh in than yesterday.
01/09 - 240.4
01/10 - 239.8..whoohoo!! Back to the 230's finally. Noticed on my trend tracker app today that if I get below 233 I will move from obese class 3 to class 2, so that is my new mini goal!

@Winner_in_Life OMGosh I Just read the blog and am literally in tears. As a person in remission with cancer, I ask myself these same things all the time. This is my story. I could have written this blog post! Often I feel stuck in a rut. With my weight, with my profession, with my whole life situation since my husband passed. How much time do I really have to change anything, including my own weight and health? I need to stop putting off those things that would please me most, like swimming or writing poetry, or reading more. I need to stop dying and start living while life has been gifted to me! Wow. I'll post later. Gotta seriously sit in this for a little while and let it bring me the strength I need to continue forward in an enlightened and more self-loving way.
Leaving for a short trip in a little while. I will post later this afternoon. Thanks so much for sharing. I am not alone. This is my greatest tool and blessing of all. I hope everyone will read the blog post too. Today is the day I am changed.
When I first came across this blog, I printed out all posts for 2 years and read all in one day. And now I am always checking for a new post. Very often she brings me to tears, but also to smile. She has a wonderful humor and she is a very good storyteller. And sense of humor is a great thing –it is easier to struggle through the difficulties and getting older… I wish you all the best, be strong and stay healthy5 -

Round 64 SW: 217.2
1/7—217.2—Hello friends and friends-I-haven't-met-yet! I hope everyone had some break time. I had some vacation days, some lounging about days, and some recharging my batteries for 2019 days. I'm starting this round at almost the same as my start weight for round 62, which pleases me.
1/8—219—Digestive whammy. I forgot to mention yesterday that I'm continuing on my quest to be able to do 100 pushups by the end of 2019. When I started, I could do 4. Now I can do 20! The program I'm using requires me to hit certain goals before I can move on to the next level, and I need to get to 31 before I can move on. In the meantime, I'm repeating week 4 a few million times.
1/9—221—Yikes! Okay, I know I ate some gluten free puff pastry treats last night, but this amount of water retention is insane. There is obviously pufferfish in my family tree.
There is a pushup challenge on here that I am trying to be a regular part of: 2019 Pushup and Sit-Up Challenge! Set your own Goals!3 -

01/02 - 192 - I know this is a day early, but I needed to start ASAP. Yikes! Those holidays really added up.
01/03 - 190.4 - I know these first pounds are water, but it’s nice to see the scale move.
01/04 - 189.7 - I stayed low carb all day yesterday even through the cravings.
01/05 - 190.6 - I knew my weight was up when I woke up this morning and couldn’t get me rings off. I was too high on carbs yesterday, but it’s ok. I’ll clean it up today and drink a lot of water.
01/06 - 189.7 - Did pretty well with food and water yesterday but still woke up feeling dehydrated. I have been trying to make sure I get lots of water today and stay low on the carbs.
01/07 - 189.2 - Made it through the weekend without giving into carb cravings. That’s an achievement for me!
01/08 -188.8 - While the number is good, I gave into my carb cravings yesterday. The weight will probably bounce back up tomorrow. I’ve eaten low carb today and packed a nice low carb lunch. Hopefully, I can keep working on breaking that carb addiction!
01/09 - 188.5 - Well, that’s surprising but I’m happy with it! I ate super low carb yesterday so that probably helped. I need work on drinking more water, so that’ll be my goal for today.
01/10 - 188.2 - Stayed low carb but I still need to work on drinking more water.

Hi everyone! I always have success in this group but totally ruin everything once I stop 😑 so anyway, I’m back! Debating trying 16:8 fasting- is anyone doing that while still eating semi-normal without having to meal prep? Is it working for you?? Thanks!
Hi. I am doing the IF. Too soon to tell if it is working. I also changed my type of foods I eat dramatically (but normal) at the same time, yikes!3 -
Heaviest Weight: 213
Recent Start Weight: 193 (January 2017)
I’ve been in maintenance for several months until the holidays, content at around 146. I am now OVER the point at which I didn’t want to be again (150), so I’ll be getting back on track to lose back down to at least around 146 or so. May try to go lower in the new year, but we will see. For the immediate future, I just want to get and stay back under 150.
Goal for round 64= 149.x
Day/Weight/Comment
01/03= 152.6
01/04= 151.8 Slowly headed in the right direction. I’ve really been doing better, but the scales are hard to move. I have been moving my body an incredible amount, really, but the scales are not responding as desired…yet! (The power of YET!)
01/05= 151.8
01/06= 152.0 Last couple days of vacation, so it’ll be back to routine tomorrow.
01/07= 153.0 Home to a different set of scales. Done with vacation, so hoping this doesn’t stay long.
01/08= 151.0 That’s better! Felt good to eat right again yesterday. Have low carb lunch packed, but travel tonight, so I’ll have to be careful. Won’t be at a scales tomorrow morning.
01/09= traveling, no scales
01/10= 151.4 Up just a bit from sitting in the car way too much and not eating like normal, but I’ll take only .4.

Round 61 11st 12lb (-1 lb)
Round 62 11st 11.6lb (-0.5lb
Round 63 11st 11.8lb (+0.2lb)
Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 11st 10.4lb Was not feeling too well yesterday so didn't quite manage to eat all of my calories which explains the loss. Better today but I do have a sore throat.
01/04 11st 11lb Slightly up. I did have to estimate my breakfast out yesterday but it couldn't have been much more than I put and I had a lot of exercise calories that I didn't eat which wouldn't explain the difference. But I'm not too worried
01/05 11st 10.2lb Happy with this although it only takes me down 0.2lb from starting weight of round. Still not feeling well. I'm beginning to think I would have been better staying at home for Christmas instead of picking up bugs from family!
01/06 11st 8.8lb Not surprised with this as I didn't eat all of my calories yesterday. That's due to not feeling well still. I'll have to be careful when I'm feeling better and more active that I keep to my calorie limit as I don't want to under eat anymore than over eat.
01/07 11st 8.0lb Late weigh in this morning. At the moment I'd rather feel better than lose this weight by not being able to eat properly. I have a committee meeting this evening so I need to give myself a little push today and stop lounging around
01/08 11st 7.8lb. Weight loss has slowed slightly which is good. I was worried it was going too fast this month. Yesterday I cooked chips for the first time and not only managed to calorie count them but managed to keep within my fat and calorie level for the day. I am still eating lower than my planned calorie level but I hope by going out today and getting some exercise my appetite will increase.
01/09 11st 8.0lb Late weigh in. Slight increase which I'm not surprised at, except I did get out and walked for the first time in 3 days! I didn't eat any of my exercise calories but I also didn't eat all my allowed calories either. This I think shows me that I will gain on 1200 calories, and I'm only losing when I don't eat all of them. So the solution really is that I do have to more exercise if I want to lose on 1200 calories. Everything weighed properly.
01/10 11st 8.2lb Slight gain. I ate 1249 calories yesterday out of an allowed 1380 (including exercise calories) I only ever lose weight when I eat under 1200 calories or I when I get a lot of exercise calories and only eat a few of them. I went over because I had a second truffle - but I was feeling cold yesterday in the house and I think that led to me eating over my fat allowance. I usually manage to stay within my macros

Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 - 148 - I know I've done some damage this past week, but I also drank about 16 oz. of water before I hopped on the scale this morning because of a coughing fit. I can't wait until this illness is over.
01/04 - 147 - I'm half afraid to say it but I think I'm feeling a little better. Just in time for my tax season to start. I stayed under weight loss calories yesterday and drank plenty of water. I'm going to try to be extra careful this weekend so I don't bump back up, but weekends are hard.
01/05 - 146.5 - I was surprised to see a drop since we had turkey tacos last night and they are full of sodium, but I'll take it. I've eaten around maintenance today so I hope this sticks.
01/06 - 146 - I'm surprised again, but I'm happy!
01/07 - 147 - There's my weekend bounce! We're having a new treadmill delivered today, after 18 years of pretty steady use our old one is just starting to fall apart. My husband is responsible for most of the use in the past year. I'm hoping the new, quieter, and stable treadmill will get me on track to start doing more regular exercise. I've lost this 40 pounds this past year by calorie counting only. I haven't really done any exercise to speak of and I know to stay healthy I need to build up my cardio health along with counting my calories.
01/08 - 146.5 - The only exercise I got last night was trying to put together the new treadmill. I ended up you-tubing an assembly video and hopefully we can finish it up in a couple days. Meanwhile, it does feel good to be back to my normal eating habits and I'm hoping I can finish this round with a loss.
01/09 - 146.5 - After a few different attempts, we finally got the treadmill up and running last night. I'm hoping to give it a try tonight after work, but our dog wouldn't eat her breakfast this morning, so now I'm wondering if I'll be spending my evening at the vet.
01/10 - 146.5 - Our dog was fine and ready to play when I got home last night. So instead of walking, I ended up playing with the dog for a half hour. I'm really going to try to hop on that treadmill tonight.

Goal Weight - 199
Ultimate Goal Weight - 194
Goals -
* Under 1900 cals each day
* No blood glucose tests above 180
* Run 5 days above 2.5 miles
1/3 - 205.7, Happy that I did not eat a lot, but did not track and overall choices not great. Need to get on the darn treadmill and make sure testing blood glucose consistently. Focusing on tomorrow's goals.
1/4 - 204.2, Fairly happy. Relatively good eating and a blood glucose of 96 right before bed which was fantastic. A key to success in managing my type II is staying off the carbs after 3PM. Still need to get on the treadmill and track food intake.
1/5 - 202.8, Pretty good day. Ate a light and healthy breakfast and lunch. Went out for dinner and ate so-so, but did not over eat. Big win was 2.7 miles on the treadmill in 30 minutes. Going to try to track food tomorrow. Want to start posting calories and steps for more accountability.
1/6 - 202.8 (1,095 calories in and 11,241 steps). Very good day. First time I ever tracked every single item I ate. Took my son to the newly opened Top Golf. I did not realize it was a bar food place. Only drank unsweetened iced tea. Did not do a lot of walking all day, but hit the treadmill at 8PM. Got in a great 2.7 miles/30 minute run. Interested to see what the scale says tomorrow morning.
1/7 - 200.8 (1,180 calories in and 12,381 steps). Relatively happy today. Second day in a row tracking everything I ate. One bad choice that shot blood glucose up to 239, but one bad choice is better than many. Ran on treadmill for 30 minutes for 2.8 miles. Hoping the scale goes under 200 tomorrow.
1/8 - 199.7 (2,175 calories in and 9,505 steps) - WOW!!! Have not seen this number in 20 years. Extremely happy. Need to make this sustainable and go for another 6.
An odd day. The high of a great weigh-in followed by shaky eating after lunch and binge eating at night. The low calories the prior two days did not help. Need to find a place in-between. Happy that I tracked every single item I ate which I would have quit doing in the past. Not a horrible binge, but still a binge. Will show on the scale tomorrow and just need to bounce back. Will do!
1/9 - 201.6 (1,177 calories in and 14,297 steps) - Very good day. Happy that I have now tracked everything that I ate for 4 days in a row. Too low on my calories and need to do better with that, but nervous about the dinner/night binge so I have been staying away from a big dinner. Did a 35 minute treadmill run. Loving this forum to stay accountable and encouraging each other.

Fantastic!!! Congratulations!!!7 -
My goal for 2019 is to get into ONEderland. Changing my life.
SW: 245 (R63 starting 12/30/2018)
End R63: 245 (0 loss; lowest 244.4 & avg 244.7 over the 4 days)
Round 64 FIRST full 10 day round!
R64 my focus will be to not break my tracking streak since 12/28 and being active every day in some way shape or form! Get up out of the chair from work, reading or tv and MOVE! Goal is to reach 240-243 and make it stick.
01/03 - 244 - I guess yesterday’s bounce up was the fluke as I’m starting today’s round a pound lower! Rain and did not follow through with indoor bike.
01/04 - 244.4 - Yesterday reflection on the bump on the scale. Well deserved due to some choc cake and wine at bunco. Positive note. Stuck to raw veggies and lunchmeat at bunco to offset and tasted but did not eat the whole piece of cake! No exercise. Did not get up from chair during long day at work. Craved chips around 5 after work and gave in… tried carrots but then caved limiting the damage counting out the chips… slapping my own hand. 2 days back at work and again losing focus on exercise Wed & Thurs! This cannot continue!!! Prioritize yourself over work. Today’s challenge will be 1/2 day work then driving 7 hours today for a funeral tomorrow. Then turning around Saturday and driving home. Take clothes for the hotel gym.
01/05 - @ hotel no scale; followed through with my commitment and went to the hotel fitness center at 6am! 45 min on a bike hoping that it will make up for any damage from mexican food the night before. The rest of today will be funeral, combined sit down lunch/dinner after funeral with the large family then driving back from Arkansas to Texas.
01/06 - 247 - hoping this is sodium and just not moving much over the past couple of days traveling. We’ll see. Today walking around boat show and eating mindfully. AND drinking water.
01/07 - 243.9 Wonderful to see that yesterday was the fluke that I suspected. Today’s mindset is to not sit all day … get moving. Hopped on bike and went for 2 walks during work breaks! 11 day tracking food in MFP! Drank more water yeah me!
01/08 - 244.8 hmmm lots of salty stuff yesterday and a larger portion of my dinner than necessary. Need to learn to not just split with DH but take an even smaller portion. Reminder - It is okay to leave food on the plate. Restaurant lunch challenge today ... so planning to be mindful when ordering.
01/09 - 243.3 Yesterday picked a restaurant without chips on the table, ordered a side Mediterranean salad (cucumber & tomato) to offset the shoe string fries that came with the crab cake. Extra $ but so worth it! Water was my friend.
01/10 - 243.3 Bike and walked yesterday in addition to tracking and drinking water. Feels wonderful.
01/11 - Will not have a scale Fri-Mon so I'll have to be accountable to myself without the scale and call yesterday's WI the end weight for this round and the start of the next until I return home on Tues.

My goal for this round is to get in to the 240s.
01/01 - 253.6 - 2019 Start Weight
01/02 - 251.8 - 20# Milestone. End weight of R63. Start weight for R64.
01/03 - 253.8 - I'm sick and my BF is sick. Neither of us felt like cooking. I ate a lot of bread, oatmeal & oatbran yesterday that all tend to stick to me for a couple of days. Sick or not, I can eat! lol If I eat high protein/low carb today I should be back down tomorrow.
01/04 - 251.8
01/05 - 252.2
01/06 - 250.8 <<< new low for this attempt at weight loss. I did hit 248.8 last May (down from 274.2 in Jan/18) so I'm only 2 pounds away. I know it's not productive to think about where I could be right now had I stuck with it but I do kick myself for regaining most of it back (271.8) At the very least, it would've been better to stay and maintain the new low weight until I was ready to lose more. I'm determined to keep going this time!
01/07 - 250.4
01/08 - 250.8 - weighed earlier than yesterday
01/09 - 252.2 - I ate 1329 calories AFTER dinner last night. I get so tired of myself.
01/10 - 251.8
01/11 -
01/12 -13 -
I’m 42 and currently ~225. I’d like to lose 75lbs, maybe more. I tend to get overwhelmed when I think about how much I need to lose and then I give up as soon as the going gets tough. I struggle with consistency.
Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 - 223.4- I did a 30-min cardio video and stayed within my calories for the day.
01/04 - 222.2- awesome strength workout and decent eating day. 64oz water (most in a long while). No mindless eating (big for me). Stayed within my calories (eating some exercise calories)
01/05 - 222- I am so proud of myself. Today is my son’s birthday and last night we had his family dinner celebration. I exercised in the morning and ate super light all day to prepare for the big meal. I ate 1500 calories for dinner! 😱 But I didn’t eat all day and still eat that big of a meal, which is huge for me. I managed to stay under 1800 calories for the day (1580 is my goal). Also I exercised 5 days in a row this week.
01/06 - 221.6-yesterday was my son’s birthday and my friend and I took a small group to play Airsoft. The boys play a round then come back for a rest. So, my friend and I walked while they were out. It helped me get over 13,000 steps and my 6th consecutive day of exercise. Despite having chorizo for breakfast, just snacking for lunch, and pizza for dinner, I stayed under my calories for the day. I’m a teacher and today is the last day of break. Tomorrow is when the real challenge begins.
01/07 - 221.6- I ate okay all day but didn’t move much and didn’t drink all of my water. Still, no gain and I’m down 3.4lbs in a week so I’ll take it!
01/08 -221.4- I went back to work Monday after 2 weeks off. We had professional development which means lunch out. I am thrilled I made a good decision there. I did a 20-minute HIIT workout after my dinner settled, so I can check off my Monday workout commitment! More water tomorrow (only 5 cups today).
01/09- 222.0- My first increase. Not going to worry about it because I know I’m on track. I did my 3rd strength training exercise (since getting back on track) and it felt amazing. It makes me wonder why I ever stopped in the first place. My only struggle right now is that my fat consumption is a little high each day. I’m mostly worried about tracking, exercise, and staying within my calorie range so I’ll worry about that later.
01/10- 221.6- I stayed within my calorie allowance but decided not to exercise (it was late, I was sore and felt I would benefit more from rest). I got a great night sleep.
