Goal for round 82 - being realistic, hoping to finish where I start. Traveling for part of this round so I'm making attainable goals. I won't be able to weigh or track well while gone so I'm going to make smart choices while not denying myself (portion control, movement every day, lots of water), and then resume tracking when I return.
7/2 - 139.3. Holding steady. Wins yesterday: 4 mile run (so humid outside!), 2.5 mile walk. Hydrated well. Slept well. Went over my calorie goal for the day but I didn't go in to a surplus due to my activity level.
7/3 -139.1. Lowest weight since I started tracking in March! Just in time go on vacation and undo that work 🤣. (Kidding I’m going to do the things I said on my goals above and hopefully not go too far off the rails). Wins yesterday: HIIT class, 2.75 mile walk, hydrated well, stayed in a deficit, slept well.

7/3: - 154.8 - A lot better than I thought with all the food I ate yesterday but I did drink almost 100oz of water. I'm prepared for today with 2 smoothies (made mostly of spinach and cucumber with a little frozen fruit and my protein mixed in for flavor) and a chicken caesar salad for lunch with a small grilled chicken breast filet for extra protein. Finally went shopping and feeling prepared! Now to keep myself in line tomorrow for the 4th of July since its one of my favorite holidays!

Previous day's comments for R827/2: - Stayed at boyfriend's last night. Tomorrow is likely the only day I'll have a chance to weigh in. I'm trying to reverse diet a little with healthier meals this week because I've been at a deficit for awhile and I'm starting to gain if I eat anything more than 1200 calories. Especially after the week of extreme deficit (<800cal/day) due to stress. Going to try to introduce veggie-based smoothies (with just a little fruit for flavor) and include more veggies in all my meals to help fill me up as well, especially since I don't really eat breakfast and when I do, its pretty much all carbs like the bad girl I am. I desperately need to go grocery shopping tonight since I'll actually have the time (no baseball game).

Ladies I’ve been very STUCK
My goal all this week is to do Isagenix shakes or salads for breakfasts and lunches, keto style dinners and have a cleanse day on friday. I want to drink 8 glasses of water per day. I also plan to do min 3 workouts this week.

- Drink at least 3 tumblers of my water while at work each day.

7/02 - 148.4: A nice way to get Round 82 going! I hit my water goals yesterday, stuck to my food, and went to the gym for a nice sweaty boxing session. I'm finding it really beneficial to weigh the whole dish for a meal that isn't easy to portion out by volume/sight (last night's dinner was a "lightened" up chicken Parmesan casserole), and then just weighing my portion to confirm the serving size. I'm also finding that we do well when I have alternatives in place, instead of making two different dinners or expecting my husband and son to eat as light as I am. Last night, I wanted a little extra texture, so I ate my serving of chicken parm on top of 2 air-fried eggplant rounds, and the boys put theirs over gnocchi. I did eat back all of my tracked workout calories (which are probably a low-side estimate anyway) on some treats, which I don't normally do. But they sure did taste good!
7/03 - 147.8 Oh boy, this loss was hard won! Yesterday had all the makings of a day to throw in the towel and just say I'll start back up later. I was hungrier than usual in the afternoon at work (and had to work later), I thought I had the right ingredients in the fridge for dinner but I didn't, and my child was being extra cranky while I was trying to get dinner in the oven. So I scrapped the fussy recipe I had planned and went easy with baked fish and veggies, and I let myself go a little over calories for a couple of cookies. And now I'm so glad I did, because I'm just a bit away from the lowest weight I saw last round!

07/02 – 172.0 – I ate well and made some progress on moving my mother. I found an assisted living residence and have signed the paperwork. Over six months of being away from my home so really looking forward to getting back to Oregon! South Dakota is pretty but there is no place like our homes. Enjoy the day everyone.
07/03 – 171.8 – Small accomplishment but will take it. Have not hit the daily water intake goal. Now to work on that. Listed the house yesterday. Now for the house to sell quickly. I’m crossing fingers and toes, maybe that might be a yoga pose? LOL

07/02 168.0 Third day in a row. Not unhappy just waiting. I did my three miles on the treadmill yesterday. There is a lot going on right now with my friend in Colo getting out of the hospital and BF is coming home from his testing and visiting his ailing brother. I'll be taking an unexpected vacation starting on the 4th to help my friend in Co and bring him home after a check up appt. The bad news is no scale, lots of eating out, and limited exercise options. The good news is my friend is out of the hospital and my bf's cancer testing went well. He hasn't given me a full report yet, so that's not great but it's probably something manageable.
07/03 168.0 Fourth day in a row. I packed my gym bag yesterday but left it at home. Ended up not going at all because we were running errands all evening getting ready to leave so I guess it worked out. Stayed under on calories and drank all the water. I brought my clothes today and will definitely get in three miles. I did a little checking and the place we're staying in Colorado is only an hour from Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park. I checked on a few trails and due to elevation, the temperature isn't going to be too hot to walk. I won't be able to go fast, but I will be able to walk. This has me more excited about the trip. Mark won't be able to walk with me, but he'll understand why I have to go. I'm going to get a little vacation time in between the medical stuff.

2nd round for me. This is a great way to keep in touch with others with similar goals. I'm 49 yo female Canadian expat living in Central America. Good luck all for to continuing the journey to all our goals.To reflect on the last 10 days. I'm stoked that I found this forum, although I'm still having trouble figuring out how to post. On 6/25 I decided to give up alcohol for a month, partly to help with weight loss, but who am I kidding...lol I need a etoh break anyways. So, I'm doing my exercise, and haven't had etoh in 6 days. My carbs are <100 per day..i know not exactly low carb, but i'm just analyzing the last 10 days. My caloric intake is fine, but I need more protein. So, in 10 days lost 1 pound...well, that's still 1 pound less, and no more gained...but more than that I'm on a journey so I'm stoked for the next ten days...
so, goals for this round stay under 50 carbs per day, continue AF, continue exercise...and just see what happens to the scale

I've moved almost the entire 5 sq yards of soil and I've started planting my new flower beds. I decided a few weeks ago to give myself a "creative sabbatical" to get my yard in shape -- I'm a writer, but intentionally not writing this summer -- and it's clearing my mind and strengthening my body and spirit. Sometimes we have to feed the inner self as well as the outer. I'm also trying to let go of specific weight goals for now -- I'm healthy, my clothes fit, and as long as I hold or lose a little, I'm fine with that. But you guys help keep me mindful and mostly on track (since most people don't want to hear about nutrition & weight all the time!). Thanks!

I’m excited to find this challenge/accountability thread. I have been going strong since November 2018 to reach my goal of 140 by my 40th birthday, July 30th. I told myself that I wanted to close the chapter of constantly focusing on my weight and living a healthy life at a healthy weight by the time I turn 40. I am 25 lbs away from that goal and with it being so close now I have moved it up to 150 and will focus on the last ten after this goal. The problem is I have been constantly motivated, disciplined even for seven months. I haven’t denied myself anything but staying on track with my macros and exercising. Sounds good, but somewhere the last few weeks, I ran out of steam. I can see the finish line, but can’t seem to boost myself to run harder. So I decided I needed a challenge and accountability so I searched the message boards and found this challenge. I think it’s doable in 10 day increments. At the end of these 10 days I will be going on vacation. So I will make my goal for this period to get back on track with my exercising and eating. No specific weight loss, but just recommitting myself.
Sorry for the long rant, but this is where I’m at.

07/02 133 New low. This is actually the usual pattern. Down a little down a little more, than spike up before coming down...and then to a new low. It works...but it's a crazy ride! Strenghth class and zumba yesterday. Ate clean and healthy.
07/03 132 A new low! Definitely this one goes back 27 years. Not sure I've seen this number since I've been married! Stuck to low carb yesterday. Only a half of a real brownie my son made and then I made myself a pretty dang marginal brownie in a mug...which satisfied my craving to make a brownie in a mug, anyway and was at least filling. (P.S. I'm silently and in slow motion jumping up and down for joy....don't want the scale to hear me and backtrack!)

My goals for this round are to stay on track with my activity, water, calories, and overall food plan. I have pre-planned the 4th of July to be nicely in calories and hopefully I’ll stick to that plan.

07/03 314.8 I’m not surprised by a pound loss, I wasn’t feeling well yesterday and had trouble finding food I wanted to eat. I finally felt like eating midday when I had a snack to hold me off until dinner where I had a favorite comfort meal that I haven’t made in awhile. I weighed it all out though and despite it being a favorite I stayed within my calorie goal. My nsv yesterday was not eating junk or overeating just because I wasn’t feeling well.

7/02: 137.0: Happy this hasn't moved up. Pounds are coming off very slow now.
7/03: 136.6: Woot! This is the lowest I've seen in years. Let's see if I can keep it here (or get lower ). Played a couple hours of pickleball last night and was careful to fuel before the workout. I'd been noticing some fatigue during play and need to make sure I'm eating enough to be energized out there. Eating an energy bar about an hour before play really made a difference.

07/03- 204.1 - This past week has been hell for me. I got my root canal done last week and everything went great, but I'm feeling insane pain on my bottom wisdom tooth that is impacted. I won't be able to see my dentist until the 15th and that's for a cleaning and buildup on my root canal tooth. I'm currently on antibiotics for my teeth and living off of ibuprofen, trying to only take 1 a day. On top of that I caught the flu from my parents and I'm cramping What made things worst is instead of feeling sick and not having an appetite I've had a HUGE appetite and keep snacking on chips. My weight went up so much these past few days and I'm happy it finally went down a notch. Trying to stay focused, but I'm in constant pain, work is driving my crazy, I barely see my boyfriend once a week if that and I have 0 social life these days. Just trying to hang in there

@debra198609 I have found over many decades that if you cut your carbs you will lose fairly quickly. I first did this in 1968 then again in 1973 and made it my lifestyle 2 years ago. Cut the junk carbs -cake, candy, regular soda, etc. Keep the good ones from non-starchy veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, and spinach. Most important-BE HONEST in your tracking! You can do this!!6

@mamarh You lost quite a bit when you did that cleanse a couple of weeks ago. Did that stay off? I’m just curious about these shakes you mention. If I had been satisfied by previous shakes I tried, I probably would have lost. Are your shakes Keto?4
