Karen - thank you for finding this! Seems the waist measurement to determine the degree of potentially harmful belly fat might be better broken down to minimal waist/belly button/lower hip measurements. Just for kicks I'm going to track all three and see where a 5# or so loss is reflected...whenever I get there, lol.

I agree about the moth balls. You can go on line to find better alternatives.
Allie sounds like he has changed your job you are not the office manager. That being said, I would have a plan in mind to tell him this is how you will go about learning about the insurance end. You are new to this, but you are willing and able to learn. He wants to hear how problems will be solved. If he is expecting you to take on more work hours and pay need to be addressed sometime too. I wouldn't do it now. I would do it when you document how much money you are saving him and making for him. You have that opportunity as you learn the system. Learning the in and outs of insurance will make you a stronger candidate when you apply for another job too. Especially the part when you tell them how much money you saved your employer.
It is too bad he did not keep his original office manager. He may be a great dentist but not a businessman. Each require a different set of skills. I am praying he finds that office manager that will let him do what he does best and what you do best. In the meantime you have the chance to learn a new set of skills.
I love M idea of making a manual to help you and others sort through the insurance. You could contact another dental office and see how they handle insurance too. There may be a manual out there already.
Good luck today. Go in strong.

Alison ~ One good thought is that the dentist must have confidence that you can actually do the insurance work. He must think a lot more highly of you than you do yourself! Hang in there! We are all rooting for you.

Some 'big knickers' arrived from Amazon today. Haven't tried them on yet. I wanted them to wear for dancing if I'm wearing my circular skirt with no leggings. They are like mini shorts in black.
The plumber arrived today to put new valves in one of the radiators in the living room. Of course, the whole system had to be drained etc, but he did a good job and charged us virtually nothing. It will be great to be warmer in the winter as it was entirely out of action.
The next thing is to get a new timer and thermostat. We had a high quote for a fancy one, but we don't need anything complicated, so I will ring the guy this afternoon and see what he says about something simpler. Hopefully cheaper. The very old one we have is almost incomprehensible, even to the plumber! Ridiculously complicated to programme. All winter we've just been pressing the override.
Dancing tonight.
Allie - if he wants an office manager he should be paying you as one. GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
The wine DH ordered was delivered to our local post office as we were not in yesterday. We pulled the age card and emailed them to say we could not fetch it from there. We had already told them we were out that day. My husband is very good at writing complaints. They are going to deliver it again on Friday. Yay!
Love Heather UK xxxxxxx
PS - the big knickers fit. :drinker:5 -
Hooray, the rain is going to stay away until this afternoon so I can have time to work in the yard this morning while it is still cool.
There are drought conditions in our county to fireworks have been outlawed except for the over water display on the 4th in the next town. Even so, there are sounds of fireworks nearby already and my nervous dog, Bessie, has been staying close to us.
Connie, sounds like you gave yourself a "happiness demerit" and then cleaned things up with your family. Teenagers are a daily challenge.

Hi. I just found the mfp groups. I thought this was a group, but I guess it's a forum? What is the difference? Anybody know any good groups? It really helps me remember my food priorities to read postings.

Well I made it'!! Today is my 80th birthday. Can’t believe it as I feel like maybe 60. Went to water aerobics where the girls sang Happy Birthday to me. My DH has something planned for this afternoon and then we are going to a forth of July concert. So will be a fun day.

Hi ladies! I need some accountability and friends who share the same goals. Like many I lost a significant amount of weight (60 lbs), and then I fell back into my old habits and over the last three years have gained back almost half the weight I lost. I don't want to beat myself up over my bad choices, but I want to get back on track to healthy food choices. On a positive note, I have kept up with exercising pretty consistently.
Goals for July
-Track food daily and stay under calorie goals
-Drink 10 glasses of water each day
-Keep up with exercising 4-5x a week
-Stretch before bed
