I am SUPPOSED TO BE in maintenance with a goal weight of 143 pounds and an allowable goal range of 140-150 pounds and an IDEAL goal range of 142 - 148. I fluctuate wildly day-to-day, and try to stay fairly steady month-to-month. I often succeed, and sometimes I am not exactly where I want to be. I will update here once per week and report my ten-day average weight.
September 26, 2019: Ten-day average 142.6 - Almost at the very bottom of my IDEAL and about a quarter of the way from the bottom of my absolute goal range.
June 26: Ten-day average 146.4 - In the top quarter of IDEAL goal range; in the top 40% of absolute goal range. But less than a month before.
July 26: Ten-day average 145.7 - Almost a pound over the midpoint of IDEAL goal range and near the top third of absolute goal range.
August 26: Ten-day average 145.3 - Near the middle of IDEAL and absolute goal range.
September 26: Ten-day average 143.3 - Near the bottom my IDEAL goal range and in the bottom third of my absolute goal range.
I weigh less than a month ago, less than two months ago, and less than three months ago. I am above my weight a year ago as I was at my ultimate goal weight back then. I got there again this week, and have been gaining a little the second half of the week. On Wednesday, my ten-day average weight was exactly the same as one year ago today.
This thread has been active almost a year; I've been participating about ten months. It's mostly just two of us contributing; I am considering abandoning my participation, or at least reducing my frequency from weekly to maybe monthly.

Iβm going to continue awhile longer, as Iβm seeing if I can get to 150 verry gradually.0 -
Maybe I'll make my life simpler and just post a graph instead of going back and updating numbers. Or maybe I'll truly just look at one month. Both our goals are really not to always weigh less than a month ago; we're trying to bounce about around a smallish range of mass.0

Yes, the title of group is not accurate for how Iβve used it!
What this posting here has group has done for me is helped me get off the gain from Decβ> Feb (Incredibly Difficult with travel & posttravel hunger due to saltier sugary fattier foods. AND celebrate 1 day, 5 days, 10 days & now over 200 days in range.
A reminder that what seemed impossible Is now something Iβve done for awhile.
Almost all of my posting is βto keep my head in the game.β1 -

Water retention? Iβm exercising & eating fewer cals & itβs inching up - extreme weather temps often do that for me as well as big increase in exercise. Fingers crossed for us both!0 -
Slow, steady increase over three weeks might have some component of water weight, but not likely. My BIA scale shows my body water content is bouncing around right where it always does - about 58% +/- 1%1

The bad news: Definitely not less than a month ago.
The good news: I am leveling off, and it's a couple pounds lower than I spiked up to in Spring. If I look all the way back to the beginning of 2018, I can also see good news because even though I'm over the top of my ideal maintenance range, I'm still in the absolute range, and I did something really good the last few years.

I remember how difficult it was to be in the 150βs in Jan/Feb/Mar of this year. COVID helped. Eating out has been My Achilles Heel. I havenβt eaten out or takeout since Feb 29.

I canβt quite read the graph scale, but it looks to me like you stayed within a 4.5 lbs for 3 month & 6 lb range for a year. These are trend wts, yes?
My 3-month trend range (Max/min) was: 157.9-153.5 = 4.4 lbs
My year trend range (Max/Min) was: 159.8-153.5 = 6.3lbs
Pretty similar, Iβd say. Perhaps...this IS Maintenance?!!
