@threewins
I know you are the originator of this discussion, so you can do whatever you wish. I would love for you to look back at what you wrote four years ago when you started this discussion:This challenge is for people who weigh themselves most days. Post your weight and compare to a month earlier, just post your weight at the start if you don't have previous numbers. Once a month post a graph in sliced form if you know how. Good luck everyone!
You were not intending this to be a daily check-in, but rather a monthly look-back. I am pleading with you to follow the guidance you provided when you started here. I've been participating for years, and I'd like to continue. Currently there is no way for a user to unsubscribe to a discussion once it's been posted to. I've asked MFP repeatedly to adopt this feature so notifications for discussions people don't want to follow don't show up. There's a few threads I get notified about that I really don't want to participate in, but I have no option.
Please don't make this another one of those threads.
Please look back at what you set this up to be and follow your own guidelines.
Please!

Oct 1st 2023 - 187.2 The 6 lbs loss feels like a miracle. I have really put in the work but at my age, it usually doesn’t come down that much in one month. I am pleased as punch. I am trying to remember how I got my graph up last month. I used the windows, shift and S button but couldn’t just get the graph. It took in all the other info too (even though I tried to just highlight the graph first). Then, when I tried to get a 2nd graph, I couldn’t even remember how I got the first one! Oh the joys of age, brain fog from cancer and medications etc. etc. Once I take the pic, where is it to enter into the graph? It’s not a copy/paste situation with my mouse so I’m totally lost. Instructions (again) @mtaratoot ?

If you use the windows+shift+S, it should open an app that lets you select things on the screen that will automatically go into your clipboard. You can then use CTRL-V to paste them. You also should get an opportunity to click on a window to edit/save the image. On the computer I've been using, it automatically also saves a copy of the clipboard image in a folder under photos called "screenshots" or something like that. Below is an image I just captured using the windows-shift-S and CTRL-Z.
And congratulations on your recent success; keep it up! Stick to it! That's how it works!

My scale weight is exactly the same as one month ago, but the trend shows that my weight is higher than last month.
The good news of course is that it is on the way down finally.

I neglected to post last month, and I'm a few days late for December, so I'll just post three months ending today.
It's interesting. It's kind of interesting. I typically ignore daily weights and focus on the trend. In this case, the trend shows I'm EXACTLY the same weight as I was three months ago - to the tenth of a pound. Scale weight is definitely lower, and looking at what they've done the last three months, well, I think it's going down. For sure looking at just the most recent four weeks, yes, it's going down.
I don't want to talk about the last six months. Nevertheless, I can't ignore the truth. I apparently had some challenges in the fall when my activity decreased. I must have not decreased my intake. That'll do it. This was after some losses, but not after some significant gains in April while I was on a private raft trip in the Grand Canyon most of the month. Our outfitter packed so much food. I hate food waste, so I was a garbage can too many nights. Would I do it again? Probably. Problem was, when I got back from the river, I didn't slow my eating down, so up, up, up it went....
I'm looking forward to continued success in this leap year.

Jan 1st 2024 – 181.6 I was doing very well until around Thanksgiving and now I have taken a turn for the worse. This includes cravings, lack of willpower, self-sabotage etc. I am trying very hard on a day-to-day basis to not lose my grip on the success I was making until Thanksgiving. Most days I am failing. I am also waiting too long in the day to begin my exercising which puts me too tired to accomplish much in the evening. I have been busy but have prioritized other things and so it has been on the back burner. I am working to change that too. I hope that Feb 1st will show my weight {both on the scale and the trending weight,) much improved. I see a pattern of either doing very good or very bad with me. With no in-between. That needs to change before I reach goal and have to deal with maintenance.

Well if the goal is to weigh less than a month ago, I succeeded. I weigh WAY less. As in ten pounds less, at least by scale weight. From 155.4 on the first day of the year to 145.8 today. My weighted moving average, which is a more reliable measure, is down 8.6 pounds from 155.3 to 146.7. I shouldn't be losing that fast. Fortunately the pace slowed down after the first two to three weeks. I would be happy to lose three or maybe four more pounds over the next month or two to be back at my "ideal" goal weight. Even if I stay right where I am, it's still in the lower half of my maintenance range. Yay!
Big change from the last several months when I was maintaining at a higher weight. And I feel healthy to boot!
My scale weight actually has been below my trend weight every day this month, so that's also pretty neat.

You can see the upward trend since Christmas the best on this 3 month graph. I've really got to turn this trend around.0 -
If I'm in maintenance, then February was perfect.
This was after a BIG loss in January - then flat, flat, flat. It's OK. I am actually within my maintenance range, but I actually still want to slowly drop down a little lower by losing a bit more fat. My three-month chart shows that I'm hovering just above a much narrower maintenance range that I'm shooting for.

Well....
February was maintenance. That's fine. January was a loss, and I kind of needed that. I'd like to say that March was also maintenance, but it was a slow gain. It started off with a fast gain (not on this chart because it only goes back to March 4), but then pretty slow.
I'm still down for the year, and that's good. I'd like to get back to where I was at the end of January, so I'll have to work on that.
A year ago I was just leaving for a 23-day raft trip down the Colorado River through Grand Canyon. The food was packed by an outfitter, and they packed wayyyyyy too much food. I hate food waste, and I gained quite a bit on that trip. It stuck with me. Apparently I kept eating too much for the next couple months, then I slowly lost some until fall and then... Oops. Then I got back on track in January, and now here we are. If I maintain where I am now, it's still a healthy weight. Someone even said something to me the other day about "skinny people like you" or something like that. Maybe even "always been skinny." They didn't know me, apparently, when I was heavier. This is the second time in a month or two I've had that kind of comment. If I can do it, anyone can. Now to get back to sticking to it!

March 1st 2024 – 178.0 (trend 179.3) February was a better month for me with the increases per month finally stopping. From Feb 1st to March 1st I lost 5.4 lbs. I am hoping I can do as well in March although my normal goal is 4 lbs. per month.
April 1st 2024 – 180.6 (trend 180.6) March was a horrible month of ups & downs. I’ve really let my guard down. The sugar (chocolate) cravings have been horrendous! I seem to be able to only snip one graph at a time. I will try to add more later.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

After a less-than-stellar March, April was a pretty good month. Not as good as January. Slow and steady, I suppose, with some hiccups, down to my goal.... eventually.

Hey everyone, I'm Crystal. Just found this challenge. I do weigh myself daily so I can go back to the months I've done previously also. I'm unable to attach pictures unfortunately so I won't be able to provide a graph.

CW: 167.5- I'm doing a lot of traveling this month so I've pushed really hard the last several weeks. Hoping that I can still have a loss my June 1st. Good luck to everyone ❤️1 -

May 1st 2024 – 185.4 (trend 182.3) February was a good month for me but March was challenging as my cravings for sugar began to return. April has been HORRID and has spiraled rather quickly (you can tell that by my trend weight) as the sugar cravings and binge eating disorder has taken me over like I am possessed. I am truly working as hard as I can on it in May, with a little success. I’m not 100% yet but I’m not giving up. The struggle is real.
